After glancing at the stage, Christoff yanked Olivia to the side and asked, âWhat are you doing?â
âWhatâs wrong?â she asked when she had. calmed down. âStop playing tricks with me. Were you the one who made the waiter on the stage trip?â
âWhat does it have to do with me?â âStop pretending like you donât know. You think I can recognize Jewel but not you?â
Olivia raised her head to glance at him, starting to enjoy the way he looked when he threatened her from time to time.
With an indifferent tone, she questioned, âWell, Iâm just curious why the ruler of Samuel Court pays so much attention to other people instead of thinking about how to make money.â
Christoff answered, âIsnât that normal? Iâve analyzed every beautiful woman ranked on the top.â Olivia was speechless at that.
âWhy did you attack him?â Christoff prodded. âCan you not ask so many questions?â Olivia snapped coldly. Christoff was almost pissed off by her. âAlright. If donât want to talk about it, letâs leave now.â
âFine! I donât want to stay anyway,â retorted Olivia. With that, she turned to leave. Currently, she just wanted him out of her sight to save her from getting upset. However, Sirius caught them leaving, taking them by surprise. âMr. Stevenson, why donât you join us for a drink?â
Christoff instantly pulled a smile on his face and wrapped his arm around Oliviaâs waist and guided her over to Sirius.
âCongratulations, Sir Sirius!â
âI havenât had a drink with you yet!â Sirius commented. Christoff responded with a smile, âItâs my fault. I shouldâve congratulated you.â
After saying that, he glanced at Eugene with a hint of provocation and gloat. With a cold expression, Eugene asked, âMay I ask why youâre congratulating me?â
Christoff smiled wickedly, âIâm congratulating Prince Azalea on her birthday! What? Did you think I was congratulating you for almost becoming Sir Siriusâ son-in-law?â
With a blank expression, Eugene remarked, âYou seem very concerned about this position If you treat Azalea well, I can help you get together with her.â
Christoff laughed out loud. âI appreciate your kindness, President Nolan, but my heart already belongs to someone else. You donât have to worry about it.â
Eventually, Sirius grew impatient and instructed, âAzalea, Eugene, please bring the King and Mr. Stevenson to Peony Hall.â
âYes, Dad,â Azalea replied with manners. Eugene, on the other hand, didnât reply but merely followed them to Peony Hall.
When they arrived at the hall, everyone took their seats respectively. However, Christoff brought Olivia to introduce her to Eugene, âMargot, this is President Nolan, or Eugene Nolan, the owner of Nolan Group and Promise Island.â
Olivia shook her shoulders awkwardly to shake his arm off, but Christoff didnât let go. The smirk on his face only grew wider.
âDidnât you mention him last time?â Olivia glanced at Hayes and purposely looked at Christoff innocently. âI recall that you said Eugene had a girlfriend. Why is he here getting. engaged to Princess Azalea?â Then, she glanced at Eugene.
Eugene frowned slightly, wondering who she was. Why did she look at him like that? Even though they werenât acquainted, her gaze was. somehow chilly and even carried a hint of melancholy.
For fear that Eugene might recognize Olivia, Christoff quickly put his arm around her shoulders and led her to the couch, saying, âWell... I donât think itâs a good idea to say this, but perhaps President Nolan doesnât like his girlfriend that much.â
Looking sideways at Eugene, who had pulled a long face, Azalea quickly clarified, âWeâre not engaged. Eugene and I are just friends.â
âBut your father adores your friend! Otherwise, he wouldnât have invited the King and delivered the good news. That means he has regarded you as his own now, Eugene,â said Christoff with a smile.
