"Manang, handle my sons," Zandro said, and the two women smiled and waved at me.

"Put me down, cold man," I said, realizing he was gently lowering me onto the bed.

"Why did you leave me?" he asked.

"You're asking why, huh? Why did I leave you? Because you hurt me," I said, tears streaming down my face.

"I heard you—you and Althea have a baby, so I decided to leave. I didn't want to be stupid, to make a fool of myself for you, when you were happy with her. Then go. That's why you became cold to me then, and sometimes I couldn't even see you because you and Althea were busy. I felt sorry for myself, and you know I didn't want to be treated like that," I said, crying.

He knelt and said, "I'm sorry, but let me explain," he said, crying too. What the—he's crying?

"Explain what for? We're done, and also, you have a family now, right? And I signed the divorce papers," I said, crying.

"What are you talking about, wife? I, I'm sorry, please let me explain," he said, crying. I looked at him and nodded.

"Althea said she was pregnant, so I panicked. What if you got mad if you knew? What if you left me? What if you divorced me? So I decided to keep it," he said, making me cry even more.

"She's blackmailing me, so I can only come home sometimes, and I'm always tired. She always makes me go with her, so I can't say no to her."

"But when we were going to the mall, a man stopped us and said he was the one who got her pregnant. I felt relieved because I knew I wasn't at fault. I rushed home to make it up to you, but when I arrived, you weren't there, so I was worried."

"It had been three hours, and you were still gone, so I called you. But when you said what you said, I got nervous. So I did what you said, and that's where I found the letter and the divorce papers."

"I started to cry. It's my fault. If I had just been loyal to you, this wouldn't have happened. Please forgive me. I won't keep any secrets from now on. Just please forgive me," he said, crying.

"Is that true?" I asked, still crying.

"Yes, wife. I don't need a forced forgiveness. Just don't leave me alone again," he said. I'm the one who needs to be blamed here because I left without a proper explanation.

"Shh, I won't leave you anymore," I said, comforting him and hugging him. He buried his face in my neck while crying. Even I was crying too.

"It's my fault why we're in this position. I'm sorry. I promise I won't leave. We won't leave you. Trust me," I said, crying even harder while hugging him.

"I won't hide anything from you ever again. Just please," he said. I felt sorry for him. I left without knowing his reason and his side. It's my fault in the first place.

If I had just asked him and known the reason, this wouldn't have happened. It's my fault. I knew it.

"Don't blame yourself, wife. I'm the one who needs to apologize and be blamed for this," he said, as if he knew what I was thinking.

"We were good, right, wife?" he asked, and I nodded.

"Yes, we are," I said. He hugged me tightly and looked me in the eye. His grey blue eyes, pointed nose, kissable lips, and long lashes—oh my god, perfect for me. Ackk!

Just a moment ago, I was crying and blaming myself, but now I'm blushing and claiming him. Hyss, self-control, please control and relax.

"I miss you, wife," he said, and I smiled.

"I miss you too," I said.

TOK TOK TOK

A loud knock on the door made me pull away from him and open it.

"Mommy, are you two okay now?" Dave said.

I looked at him and then at Zandro behind me. He was smiling sweetly. He's so handsome. I smiled back and said, "Yes, we are, babies," I said.

"Then let's celebrate," Raven said, smiling like his father.

"Shì de! Wǒ xǐhuān qìngzhù, yóuqí shì xiànzài! (Yeyyy! I love celebrating, especially now!)" Dave said, and I nodded at them.

"What did he says wife?" Cold man asked and I just chuckle.

Yeah, right! Our sons often speak chinese than English or tagalog.

"Nothing, he just said he was happy for us." I said and smile at him.

They went downstairs first, and someone huge came up behind me. I knew who it was.

"I love you, wifey."

"I love you more, hubby."

"I love you—what—what did you call me again?" he said, looking at me desperately. I laughed.

"Why are you laughing, wifey?" he said, pouting.

"I said I love you too, hubby," I said, smiling at him, and then—

He kissed me. I was shocked, but I didn't care now. I missed him.

"I miss you, I really miss you," he said.

"I miss you too," I said back.
