ARIOUS LIVITICUS LABRADOR
"Don't misunderstand this," I said, sensing their suspicion. "There's an explanation."
"Then explain," Yvie demanded. These two are crazy.
"They're my cousins. Zandro's sisters," I clarified.
"Oh, my apologies, Ate! I'm Zhen Lisha, but you can call me isha. This is my twin, Zhenida but you can call her Aida," Isha said, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. Aida mirrored her sister's embarrassment.
"Sorry for making you jealous," Aida added, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"No, we weren't," Ashley and Yvie said in unison.
"You two are the perfect friends," Aida commented.
"Sorry for the trouble. We have to go," Ashely said, but Isha stopped her.
"Wait," Isha said.
"Why?" Ashley asked.
"Let's bond! It's about time, Ate," Isha suggested. Aida nodded in agreement.
"Okay, that's fine with us, but what about the bodyguards?" Yvie asked.
"No need. We can protect you two," Aida replied confidently, and they left.
"Bro, those two are insane," I told Zandro, who generally avoids social interaction unless it involves family.
"I don't care," he replied, his gaze distant. I just shook my head.
"Bro, your wife is stunning. Butâshut your mouth, Neil! You have a wife, so don't even think about my wife," Zamdro warned, his tone sharp.
"I'm just saying," I chuckled nervously. He's so serious.
"By the way, are you going to the party?" I asked.
"Maybe," he replied. I decided to drop the subject.
ASHLEY NICOLE AMORES
The twins took us to the beach. Alexa was serious and reserved, much like Xander, while Aira was more outgoing.
"You know, Ate, Kuya Livi and Kuya Lim are truly kind and sweet. You'll see someday," Isha said, sitting on a rock. Aida and Yvie joined her, while I stood, restless.
"Oh, and Ate, tell your husbands to attend the party," Isha announced, catching Yvie and my attention.
"What's the party for?" I asked curiously.
"It's the birthday party of Kuya Lim's business partner. All the families and other mafia members will be there, so we hope you'll come," Aida explained.
"Okay, we promise. I'll do my best to convince Zandro," I said, smiling.
"And I'll make sure that Cold face goes, or else he'll face my wrath," Yvie added.
"Nice nickname," Aida commented dryly.
"It's true," Isha laughed. We chatted until our bodyguards arrived, and we said our goodbyes.
"Bye! Thanks for the day. We'll see you later," Yvie said, leaving.
"Thank you, twin, for this lovely day," I told them, hugging them before getting into the van.
Back at the mansion, Zandro was still out. I sighed, preparing to eat alone.
"Manang, he's still not here. I'm so tired of eating alone," I complained.
"You're not used to it yet, Ma'am. And of course, Sir Limuel has work," Manang replied gently. I nodded, but then I gasped as someone sat down opposite me. It was Zandro Limuel Moonroi.
"Wow, what a surprise! You're home early," I exclaimed, my heart doing a little skip. He looked at me with his usual cold gaze, but I ignored it, focusing on my food.
"I've been busy these past few months. Sorry," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. But I internally squealed. He apologized! A first!
