ASHLEY POV
I was about to go to Zandro's office when someone pulled my hair. Infuriated, I kicked them in the stomach-it was Althea's friend.
"How dare you," Althea's friend spat.
"How dare you too! Look what you've done to my beautiful hair! I guess you're jealous of my hair, you clowns!" I retorted sarcastically.
"You're so bold! Wait here, I'm going to tell our boss. Wait here, b*tch," Althea snarled, hurrying away with her friend.
"Okay, I'll wait, Mrs. Clown," I said, laughing. She really does look like a Mrs. Clown.
The two left, hurrying past me. The employees approached me.
"You're so brave, Miss," one said.
"But you shouldn't have done that," another chimed in.
"She's powerful with our boss," another whispered.
"How could she not be powerful? She's flirting with the boss," someone else muttered. I wonder which boss they're talking about.
"You're new here, right? You might get fired," they warned. Well, I don't care. I just stared at them emotionlessly, but that changed when someone approached.
"Hi, I'm Danilla Rhianne Dominguez. I'm here looking for the CEO and his wife. This is my boss's order," she said.
"Oh, hi, I'm Ashley Nicole Amores Moonroi. I'm here for my work as a secretary," I said, smiling. But then-
"WHAT!" they exclaimed in unison.
"Moonroi?"
"What's your connection to our boss?"
"And you're a secretary?"
"Wait-" Someone's words were cut short by the arrival of someone, and everyone looked behind me. I turned around as well.
I saw Zandro with the woman who pulled my hair. Wow, so flirty! She's clinging to Zandro's arm. I've never even experienced that. Such audacity!
"Look, Zandro, she hurt me! Look at my face," Althea said, and I just raised an eyebrow. She has a bruise on her face. She's a good actress.
"She hurt you? Is that true?" Zandro asked, looking at me. I stepped in front of Althea and slapped her. Everyone was shocked.
"Yes... I hurt her because she did it first. And for your information there was nothing like that earlier. But if that's all you're going to report, fine. I'll make it true. And Miss Clown, For your information again, don't touch him in front of his wife. Why? Because I'll slap your face again. You think you're beautiful? You look like an ugly clown! Do you want me to beat you up? You're making up stories," I said.
"Excuse me, and you, Zandro, why do you let her flirt with you? The employees said she's powerful with you because she's flirting with you. Wow! It's not like I'm fighting for someone like you, a cheater. Goodbye. I'll resign. You're shameless! You have a wife and you're still flirting," I said, leaving. He called me back, but who is he? He's shameless after cheating on me! I'm so angry!
Because of my anger, I left July behind and went somewhere else-anywhere but Zandro's house. B*stard!
ZANDRO POV
I'm in my office, waiting for my wife. She's my new secretary now, so I fired my old one.
While waiting, there was a knock, so I let them in. Althea entered; I thought it was my wife.
"What do you want?" I said emotionlessly.
"There's a crazy-looking woman in the company," Althea said flirtatiously, which annoyed me. I didn't want her to bother me, so I went with her.
I was surprised. I didn't know she was already here, and that's what she found. Sh*t! What am I supposed to do? I know she was shocked. She approached us and said hurtful words.
She left, but I was just stunned. My subordinate, Clark , patted me, bringing me back to reality.
"She's really the CEO's wife,"
"She's so brave,"
"She's hard to please. She seems jealous. Poor Althea," my employees whispered. I glared at them, so they went back to work. But then, Ashley's personal bodyguard suddenly appeared.
"Sir, Ma'am Ashley ran away. I couldn't find her, but she said something," he said, surprising me. I was about to leave when-
"Sir, she said, 'Don't you dare find me, Zandro, or else I'll kill you, cheater! Go have fun with your clown!' That's what July said," July said in detail, her tone sharp.
"Tss, that woman. July, gather 50 men to find my wife. If you see her, call me. Wait for me. Understand?" I said emotionlessly, but honestly, I was nervous.
"Yes, sir..." he said and left.
"Poor Thea," I heard their whispers and chuckles gossiping about that girl who is always flirting with me even though I don't give a damn , so I went back to the office.
"Fck! Fck! Fck! Fck!...Where did you go, wife? Tss, such a woman," I muttered.
ASHLEY POV
Haysss, the sunset is beautiful. I haven't eaten since earlier. I'm just here in my favorite place. I'll rent a place later.
I just keep crying. I feel like I'm the pitiful one. B*stard Zandro! He has a wife and he's still flirting. I feel like he cheated on me. Our marriage is just on paper anyway.
This is infuriating! Zandro is heartless! I'm leaving.
While sitting on the bench, someone sat beside me. I didn't look because I didn't care.
"Miss, I think you have a problem. You almost cried, haha," he said, making me look at him. He has a cross earring... he's handsome! Sh*t!
"Miss, you okay? I know I'm handsome, but I didn't think you'd fall for me so quickly," he said, making me frown.
"I'm married to a f*cking cheater. It was a forced marriage anyway, so why should I be hurt? Tss, useless," I said, tears welling up, but I held them back.
"Sheesh, don't think so much. Cry if you want," he said.
"No, I hate crybabies," I said, getting serious.
"Tss, such a woman. By the way, I'm Christian Rodriguez, 26. And you, I think you're still a high schooler, that's why you're reacting like that," he said, making me chuckle softly.
"I'm Ashley Nicole Amores, 22," I said, surprising him, which made me laugh.
"I didn't know you were 22. You have a baby face. You're not wearing makeup," he said, making me laugh. Christian is funny.
"Bye, Chris," I said, but he stopped me.
"Wait, can I have your number?" he asked.
"Well, it's okay. We're friends now," I said, giving him my number.
After giving him my number, I left, but the men in black blocked my way. Behind them, I saw a familiar face. Ugh! I told Zandro not to look for me!
"Hmm, glad you're here," Zandro said. I had no choice but to go with him. I ignored him and got into his car. I saw him smirk. I want to strangle him.
"Why did you escape?" he asked with a playful smile. Well, I got Christian's number. I texted him to call in 10 minutes and placed my phone between us, so Zandro could see when Christian called.
"None of your business," I said emotionlessly.
"Are you jealous?" he asked, making me frown. Let's see. You're annoying. I'll make you jealous.
"Um... maybe. But I'm not supposed to feel jealous, right? Because our marriage is just on paper. Tss, why do I want my marriage to be perfect? But now, look, you ruined it," I said, looking out the window. I closed my eyes because I was sleepy when my phone rang, but Zandro answered it first.
"Hello, little Ash, how are you? Are you home already? Don't forget to eat. You haven't eaten since earlier. You're not listening to me," he said on speakerphone. Haha.
"Who the f*ck are you, moron?" Zandro yelled, making me look at him.
"Oh, is this the husband of my little Ash? Then remember this, b*stard, don't ever do that again to my little Ash, or else-"
"Or else what? Don't ever underestimate the Amores, b*stard! If I just knew who you are, you'd be prepared," Zandro said in a scary voice. He put down the phone and sped up the car until we arrived.
I got out first, but I couldn't open the door, so I looked at Zandro. He got out, went around, and opened the door.
"If I know who that man is, I will kill him. And don't forget, Ashley, you're my wife, only mine. So whether you like it or not, you will be my secretary, period," he said after I got out. He went ahead into the mansion.
"Jealous, huh? Wahahaha," I whispered.
"Thank you so much, Christian. You're the best," I texted him.
"Anything for my friend," he replied. I didn't reply anymore and went to my room. I won't eat. I don't have an appetite.
