Ten people, all in their late teens. It was clear they were students of another cityâs academy, different from the group they had encountered in Glassblaze Cavern.
"Yeah, we killed it," Almond walked and stood beside Lily with Alfred and Chimera Viperfiend at their sides.
Behind them was just a rocky terrain wall, and to the sides, open. Natalia stayed at the back as she stayed on the lookout.
âDamn, whatâs that monster?â
âMust be a summon.â
âThat looks a bit familiarâ¦I mean, not exactly, but it looks like a mixture of monsters.â
âNow that you say it, doesnât that armor and those snake arms look a bit familiar? But itâs as if they got some new design.â
The group started talking in Magic Whisper. It was clear from their lips moving.
The groupâs leader seemed to be a fair-brown-skinned boy with a rather calm expression and silky short red hair.
After Almond spoke, there wasnât any response for three seconds until the red-haired young man said with a nod, "Sorry for disturbing you. We just heard some big sounds, so we came here to take a look."
"No problem. You can go now," Lily nodded, her face deadpan behind her mask. "Thereâs nothing here."
The red-haired young man nodded before turning around, "Letâs go, yâall."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
âBro, we could totally get those materials if we asked.â
âYeah, Kylar. Wandering Fairyâs drops can be used to craft a mage-type weapon. Either a wand or a staff with some good effects and affinity with nature-magic.â
âDolly here has nature-type skillsâ¦â
âShut up,â Kylar snorted. âDo you think they will give up on their items just because we are high on number? Learn to read the room.â
âKylar is right,â a blue-haired girl, Sophie, rimmed up her glasses with her finger and said, âNone of them were even the slightest injured even while fighting the Wandering Fairy. Their clothes were also fine. The damage in the surroundings indicates that the Fairy couldnât do much because they had a very strong attacking style. They also had a lot more items on each of them. It was an unusual party.â
âThey are strong and higher leveled than us,â Kylar narrowed his eyes. âEspecially those two who were at the front. Their vibes were dangerous.â
âGeez, I donât know how you can sense those vibes and shit, but gotta trust you on that since weâve come this far thanks to you, Kylar.â
âBut wait, we are all at Silver level 7 after farming for hours in Briarwood Grove, and we didnât even see them there. How are they higher leveled than us?â
âThey must have farmed at a hidden location,â Sophie answered. âThatâs the only answer. Also, they were the first to clear the Shimmering Fen. I remember seeing them at the camping area there.â
âTo be honest, I didnât get a clear picture like Kylar, but yeah, those two looked bad news to me, too.â
âWeâll meet them again soon,â Kylar said. âThey should be planning to camp at Snowrock Plateau as well. Itâs evening, so people would gather there.â
âAre we also going there already?â
âYeah, weâll rest now. I am also hungry, so yâall better cook something good.â
â¦
After storing Wandering Fairyâs materials and its Spirit, the group stayed there to recover for a bit before walking towards the snowrock plateau for camping.
They were the fourth to arrive there and easily got a good spot for the camping.
Snowrock plateau was just half a kilometer away from the border of Frostbite cliffs located in the east of the upper part of the mountain.
Most people camping here would go to the Frostbite cliffs after resting to kill monsters there. The monsters there were the strongest in terms of troublesomeness and power, but their numbers were high, and it was a good spot to farm to reach Silver level 10.
Almond put away Chimera Viperfiend in the spirit pocket to see how the storing worked since he obviously couldnât go around with Spirit Wraiths after he left the Labyrinth.
Fortunately, the slots to put Spirit Wraith were different, and from that, it appeared that he could keep 10 Spirit Wraiths stored.
But since it didnât take up a slot after he summoned them outside, it was safe to assume that there was no particular limit on the number of Spirit Wraiths he could have.
Lily and Natalia took a bath first, and then Almond went inside to freshen up while those two started preparing for dinner.
After he finished bathing, Almond lay on the bed inside and opened Spirit Kodoku.
It was time to create a new Spirit Wraith.
3 x White Polan Tiger Spirit.
3 x White Dust Centipede.
3 x Lethal Fang Rabbit.
3 x White Reaper Beetle.
3 x Chilling Spark Panther.
3 x Sabersnout Hog.
2 x Thornwalker.
âThatâs twenty.â
Amond was about to activate it, but he looked at the list, and something clicked in him. âNo, waitâ¦â
If possible, he wanted a slightly more humanoid Spirit Wraith than Chimera Viperfiend next. Among the types of Spirits he had, the only humanoid-type monster was Thornwalker!
âChilling Spark Panther is not needed since I already added White Polan Tiger. Both are kinda similar, but just different skill sets.â
âRabbit for agility, Beetle for toughness and wings, Centipede for poison and toughness, Sabersnout had a sword at its snoutâ¦this could be interesting.â
He adjusted the Spirits to add inside.
5 x Thornwalker.
3 x White Polan Tiger Spirit.
3 x Lethal Fang Rabbit.
3 x Sabersnout Hog.
2 x White Dust Centipede.
2 x White Reaper Beetle.
2 x Briarweb Spider.
âYep. This looks good, and hopefully, it will make for an interesting Spirit Wraith,â Almond grinned and activated Spirit Kodoku with these twenty Spirits.
Almond got up and was about to go out when he suddenly heard some sounds along with a clear voice.
"Hey, beautiful ladies. It looks like youâd love a company, haha. How about we have dinner together?"
Almond raised his eyebrows, his hands slightly shaking. Noticing it, he stopped right before the exit.
âThe fuckâ¦Am I expecting a drama and getting excited about it? Donât tell meâ¦â Almond gulped, his fist clenching. âI want to kill people? Am I hoping for a conflict that would result in us killing them to get human Spirits?â
