"Take the east wing, I'll take the west!" Says the royal guard.
"What about the rest of the people?" Asks king William.
"Mia is handling them. Now, go!" He answers.
"Aye. Round up the horses and carriages." Says William.
The royal guard nods and hurries off in the opposite direction.

In the north wing...
Mia struggles to fight an angry soldier holding a spiked mallet while trying to free some of the other palace inhabitants.
She draws her sword and dagger as she tries to wear him out. "Run! Now!" She shouts to them then the soldier comes up behind her and strangles her, putting his mallet across her neck and holding the other end with his palm, making one of the spikes face her eye.
For a brief moment, she fears for her life but quickly remembers that she has something to live for.
Then, the soldier realises that she has stopped struggling and loosens his grip on her. She sees her opportunity and jabs him in the ribs with her elbows and snatches away the mallet then sticks it in between his eyes, hearing his skull crack.
"Rule number one," she says dropping the mallet,"never make assumptions." Then she makes a run for it.
In the east wing...
"Father!" Says Edgar.
"Oh, son. What are you doing here? It is not safe!" Answers William.
"Looking for Mia. Where is she? Where is mother?" He asks.
"They are all heading for the carriages. You too. Go!" Says William.
Edgar looks at his father and wonders, what did such a good king like him do to deserve war? There and then, he makes his decision.
"I'm helping you father. Let us go find the others." He says.
"That's my boy." Says William pointing him in the direction of the palace cells.
In the south wing...
Queen May stands afraid of who might come for her. She holds up one of the dead soldier's sword, waiting. She hears footsteps nearing her. She holds on to the sword until her knuckles turn white.
The doors then open and Mia steps in pointing her sword to May's throat making May drop the sword and put her hands up.
Mia sighs in relief and rolls her eyes. Grabbing her by the arm, she says, "If you are going to play bravery, better not drop that sword next time."
"Be gentle with me you filthy rat!" Says May as she is pushed out towards a tunnel that will lead her straight to the carriages.
"You are welcome." Says Mia as she goes around the palace to see if there are other people remaining.
In the west wing....
"Awaiting your orders my lady." Says the royal guard.
"Do it." She says.
He meets Mia halfway and quickly cuts himself with his sword to make his lie believable.
"Are you ok? Is anyone remaining?" Asks Mia.
"I am. Everyone got out." He says.
She sighs in relief and notices the gash. "Oh. That must hurt." She says.
"Yes it does." He says and grazes her with his dagger knocking her unconcious. "And so does that." He says as he drags her off.
"It is done." He says.
"Very good boy. Very good." She answers.
