The chief palace maid assigns duties to the respective maids as they scurry off careful not to stumble upon the queen as she passed. From what she had heard, people feared her when she was irritated. Something that both amazed and angered her.
"Hey! No fair!" The little prince now two years of age whines.
"Finders keepers!" Grins a little girl who happens to be his playmate.
Ammused, queen May scoops up her son and looks at the little girl, "What is your name little girl?" She asks and before she answers, a maid comes running after her.
"Mia! How many times do I have to tell you not to cause trouble for..." she notices the queen and dips in a curtsey, "Your majesty, forgive this child's behaviour. Surely I will deal with her accordingly."
"Well, make sure my prince is not upset again. You may rise and take your leave." She replies turning into her chambers.
With a sigh of relief, Caramel pulls Mia's ears as she scolds her up until they disappear into the maids' quarters. This girl would surely be the death of her if not old age itself.
* At the queen's chambers*
"Edgar, why were you playing with a servant child?" Asks queen May.
"She is a nice person Mama. Plus she knows all the fun games." He replies.
She looks at him sternly and scolds, "We are royalty. We do not entertain servants and neither do we consider them friends alright?" She pats him gently on the head and pushes him towards the door and calls out to her help to escort him to his chambers.

"Amelia, look at me." She holds up the girl's chin and tilts her face upwards to face her. "We do not mess with the royals, do you understand?"
"Yes auntie." She sniffles while rubbing her ear.
"Stay away from the prince okay? I dont want any trouble with her majesty." She says pulling her into a hug before sending her off to the maids' hall.

"Don't you think you are too kind?" May asks William.
"I am the people's advocate. It is my job to be kind." He answers pulling her into his embrace. "Besides, it is our anniversary is it not? So stop your worrying and enjoy this time with me." He nuzzles he neck gently.
She closes her eyes briefly, not taking his manner too kindly. She had never seen him act this way and was beggining to sense that something was amiss and she would get to the bottom of the matter.
