I woke up to a phone ringing I had no clue if it was my phone or his phone. I got up looking over seeing my phone ringing on the nightstand. I reached over him grabbing my phone and answered it.
"Hello?" I said in a raspy voice.
"Hey Summer, we're short handed and I was really hoping you could come and get some hours maybe?" He said into the phone and I sighed.
"Yea, l'll be there in a minute." I hung up laying down on Kane's warm body. I really didn't want to get up, I felt fine where I was. I heard a deep voice and jumped a lil looking at him crazy. I just can't get use to that.
"Who was it?" He asked.
"Work, there short handed and asked if I could come in." I shook my head getting up going in the bathroom. I showered and did my usual putting on makeup hiding the bruises.
I really didn't care what I had on so I threw on a plain black hoodie, and some black joggers, with some Shades and my black cat 4's. I grabbed my phone and shit about to walk out the door till I heard Kane.
"No bye or nothing?" He said walking up behind me, I smiled turning around looking up at him.
"Bye Kane" I said he was just looking at me. I noticed he had his shoes on and keys in his hands.
"You finna leave?" I asked and he nodded coming closer to me, I put my hand on his chest moving him back.
"Kane moveee you haven't brushed yo teeth, I don't wanna smell that." i said.
"Yo bald headed ass standing in front of da door" he said and I turned around and looked at da door.
"Oh" I busted out laughing and so did he, I opened the door walking out to my car and him following closely behind. He jogged up to my car opening my door.
"Call me on yo break" he said as I walked up to him giving him a hug.
"Alright bye." I got in the car heading to work. I was walking in the mall heading to work when someone grabbed me.
"Aye excuse me" he said and I looked at him taking my Airpod out.
"Wsp?" I asked trying to see what he wanted, like no one comes in the mall around this time it be dead.
"You Summer right?" He asked and I looked around.
"Who asking?" I said and he laughed a lil.
"I'm Jaylon I-." He said and I didn't wanna know what the fuck he was talking about honestly.
"I am so sorry but I gotta get to work" I said trying to get him out my face.
"Igh nice talking to you..." He looked at me weird and I flat faced him.
"You too" I said walking away I didn't wanna hear that shit. I made it to work and clocked in.

I was about to get off in like an hour or two and I had totally forgot to call kane. I pulled my phone out going to his contact to call him. The phone was ringing and I waited on him to answer and not to long after he did.
"Hey ma" He said.
"Hey" I said putting the phone up to my ear leaning on the counter.
"When you get off?" He asked and my phone start vibrating. I looked at it seeing him FaceTiming me I shook my head.
"Why do you do this?" I answered looking at him.
"So I can see you when i'm talking to you, now when you get off?" he said looking In the camera.
"In a hour, you gone come see me?" I asked. He showed Kaykay laying on him watching tv, I smiled waving.
"Heyy beautiful" I said.
"When coming home? We miss you" she asked.
"I'll be there soon" I replied.
"Ok byee" she said waving into the camera, kane put the phone back on him.
"I'll be there in a min" I told him.
"Igh" he said and I hung up, no one was really in here because we we're about to close. So I wasn't really stressing it like that just ready to go home.
My head was really irritating me the most I think I got a damn concussion or something. Because ain't no way this a headache if so i don't know what to say. I walked to the back clocking out till I seen one of my coworker.
"Bye girl, it was nice seeing you again." She said I gave her a light smile replying back.
"You too, I should be coming back more often." I said before walking out the door. I was looking down at my phone walking to my car, then I looked up seeing kane leaning on my hood.
"It's too late it's the end of the day now." I said as I was walking up to him, he shook his head smiling.
"Aww you wanted me to come eat with chu?" He said trynna be funny.
"Maybe" i shrugged wrapping my arms around his torso giving him a hug.
"Get Inna car" he said after we broke the hug. We both walked to the doors of the car getting inside. Once we settled getting comfortable he pulled out a wood lighting it up.
"How you feeling?" He asked passing me the blunt, I leaned back grabbing it hitting it a few times as well.
"I'm better..."I shrugged, I didn't really want to talk about it and he knows that. The fact that he knows is really irritating for him to keep asking.
"Summ-" he was about to say something till i cut him off.
"Please...Can you not? I honestly don't wanna keep having to bring it up then I'll never be able to move on." I lightly spoke.
I handed him the blunt and he nodded, I wasn't trying to come off as disrespectful.
"I understand...have you talked to your mother?" He asked and I sighed.
"Don't have a reason to talk to her, she was only "concerned" when she thought I was dying not when I was getting my ass beat. If anything she had the power to stop what the fuck was happening. But I know ima have to see her sooner or later, I need to get our shit." I explained.
"Hell yeah, just let me know I'll come help. " he said as he handed me the blunt to finish it.
"What's wrong? You don't wanna smoke wimme?" I looked at him because he gave me the whole blunt we barely even hit the halfway point.
"I'm just listening, you finna start going back to school and finish out the year?" He asked.
"I want to but I know destiny and Kehlani will kill me." I let out a lil laugh.
"You still haven't talked to them?" He said.
"No...I mean look at me, if I walk in there with shades and clothes that show no skin what do you think gone happen?" I said looking at him.
"Tell them" he shrugged.
"There is no point when I'm already working on removing myself from that environment." I replied.
"Igh" he said.
We kept talking as I finished the blunt I was high as fuck, I didn't even know why i decided to smoke the whole thing.
But we we're going to grab something to eat, he was driving he think ima crash. I had my face in my hands trying to make my headache calm down.
"My head hurt" I said as I turned around looking at him.
"We almost der" he reinsured me, he later got my food and went home. As we pulling in the driveway I seen his car.
"How did you get to the mall?" I asked.
"I had someone drop me off" he cut the car off looking at me. I was drinking my drink till he handed me my bag of food to him.
"I'm not hungry" I said.
"Summer eat that damn food" he replied as we got out the car. I rolled my eyes as we opened the door walking in. I seen Kaykay and Asia sitting on the couch and I walked up to them.
"Y'all hungry?" I asked and they nodded and I handed them the food as they ran in the kitchen with it. I turned around seeing Kane staring at me and I laughed grabbing his hand.
"Come on" I pulled him as we walked upstairs to my room, I took a shower getting ready for bed. Once I walked out the bathroom I seen Kane laying down knocked out.
"Kanee" I whined laying on his back.
"Hm?" He hummed keeping his eyes closed.
"You make me real happy stranger, or maybe it's the drugs you keep giving me. Wait I really don't know much abou-" I rambled till he cut me off.
"Summer go to sleep." He said as we sat there slowly falling asleep.
It took a min but I finally got the part out, I figured it's best to drop part after part.
