"Heyy baby!" Momma Brown answered the phone sounding excited to hear from me. Like i didn't just see her a few days.
"Heyy, you at the house?" I asked turning onto her street.
"Yes what's wrong?"
"Nothing I just wanted to stop by and see you before I headed home." I explained to her not wanting her to worry.
"Aww what's in the air everybody coming to see me this week." She told me as I smiled and shook my head.
"Im almost there just making sure you were home first."
"Okay baby the door open." She said as I hung up and pulled into her driveway.
"I guess I gotta go, i guess it time to goo." I got out of the car singing a song that was stuck in my head all day as I walked to back to the back door of the car.
"Who is that?" I asked myself as I seen a car pull in front of house.
"You cold baby?" I looked at Kaykay.
"Nope." I turned around looking back at the car seeing it was still there I went up to the porch and went inside.
Soon as I put Kaykay down she ran over to Asia in the living room. I closed the door behind me before locking it.
"Are you expecting anyone?" I yelled loud enough to where Momma brown could hear me. I looked out the blinds waiting on her to respond.
"No why?" She asked coming into the living walked over to me. She leaned forward and looked out the blinds as well.
"Girls go upstairs." I said turning around looking at the run upstairs.
"I'll be damned." Momma Brown said as she went to the door.
"Do you need me to call Kane?" I asked unsure till she looked at me.
"It's my daughter." She told me as she opened the door and stepped outside. I quickly followed behind her.
"I can't give you no money." Momma brown told her while she approached the front porch. I sat in the seat next to the front door looking at them both.
"I just want to see my kids." She said looking up at momma brown.
"We can set up a day or something but you need to leave." Momma Brown told her the lady looked over at me.
"Who is she?" She asked I smiled before introducing myself.
"Hi, my name is Summer. You have beautiful kids by the way." I complimented to lighten the mood.
"You got some bitch taking care of my kids? This hoe look half my age." she started till momma brown interrupted her. A smile creeped up on my face as I was shocked.
"Baby i don't want to have to tell you again I will call the cops." Momma Brown told her she shook her head and walked to the car she came in.
"You okay?" I stood up and asked momma brown.
"Yeah of course." She nodded watching the car drive off.
"Come inside it's cold and you don't have any clothes on for this weather." I told her making her look down.
"Ouu girl she got me out here looking a hot mess." She said making us both laugh.
"Come on lady." We went inside.
"What they say about your curtains? They liked them?" I asked referring to Kane and Destiny.
"Girl Destiny and Ashton didn't even notice, but Kane said he liked them. Where were you? You could've came over and got you a plate." She said I was about to answer till she spoke again.
"Are you eating?" She asked I nodded.
"Yes ma'am, I know you see all this back there. This homegrown you better watch out when I'm walking past." I said turning around and looking back at her. She started laughing as I did the same.
"You can't tell me my butt ain't growing." She waved me off and went into the dinning room.
"You silly." She said before we dat at the table.
"You seen it's supposed to snow tomorrow?" I asked.
"Yes, Asia got in the car excited talking about no school." She answered, I laughed a little.
"Want to have a snow day? I don't want you to be stuck here alone." I suggested.
"That sounds fun, let's do it." She said before typing away in her laptop.
"Okay I'm going to go grab some games and snacks then I'll be back." I told her before she nodded.
"Alright I'll find something to cook." She said.
"I'll come help since we gone be cooking for a full house." I said smiling she looked at me crazy.
"Full house?"
"Ima tell the OG squad to come over." I said using the name she would call us, she smiled.
"How you just gone offer up my house?" I shrugged my shoulders.
"You said yes to the snow day, how could it be a snow day with an empty house?" I said as I opened the door.
"Oh you think you slick?"
"We'll be back." I closed the door and called everyone telling them to come and bring something. Like blankets pillows snacks games everything really.
LATER THAT NIGHT
I stood at the door knocking.
"You knocking soft like Momma Brown can hear." Murda said making Ashton turn around and look at him.
"Aye she can hear you better watch out." Ashton told him.
"For real, we'll jump your ass out here." Destiny added as she bucked at Murda.
"Then why we still standing outside?" Murda asked and it go quiet.
"Damn." Wooda said, soon after momma brown opened the door smiling.
"Heyy!" She said with a big ole smile on her face.
"Snow day." I said as I walked pasted her into the house.
"I heard you I should leave you outside." Momma brown said to Murda.
"Ouu." I said instigating everyone gave her a hug as they walked in.
"Here put some music or something on the tv." Momma brown handed the remote to wooda.
"Hell nah somebody take the remote from him." Destiny said making Ashton laugh.
"You the wrong person with the remote." Kehlani said laughing.
"Man who trying to get whooped in uno? Y'all running from this whooping." Murda said putting the cards on the table.
"Look kiddos, I found y'all some hot chocolate." I told Kaykay and Asia.
"Where our hot chocolate?" Destiny asked I smiled.
"You was talking all that crap at the store and I said you not getting none." I told destiny as she followed me into the kitchen.
"You lamee." Kehlani walked in saying.
"I'm just kidding I got some for everyone. Y'all can make it while we cook." I told them.
"Okay." Destiny said.
"Y'all wanna help?" Kehlani asked the girls.
"You already started cooking without me." I said to momma brown.
"I'm sorry baby you was taking to long."
"It's already starting to snow." Kane said closing the door behind him.
"Man you ain't never on time." Wooda said before dapping Kane up.
"I'm putting BTA all night!" Ashton said a little aggressive when he won.
"Man run it back."
"Kane!" Kaykay said as she seen him walk into the kitchen.
"Hey princess." He said picking her up I walked over to him.
"Did you find the blanket?" I asked as he handed me the sack I smiled.
"Thank you, momma brown look. Kane found you a heated blanket." I went and sat it on the counter.
"Thank you baby, I been trying to order one but they been sold out." She said smiling as she looked at the box it came in. I looked over at Kane and Kaykay as they spoke.
"Look." Kaykay said showing him the jewelry he bought her he gave her a light smile.
"You like them?" He asked and she nodded.
"Yes! Mommy got hers too." Kaykay said pointing over at me.
"Your momma act like she don't want to say hey to me." Kane said looking over at me I smiled.
"Whatever."
"Hey everybody." Kane said looking around the kitchen.
"Hey Kane." Kehlani and Destiny said at the same time.
"Okay 30 minutes on the food y'all." Momma brown announced to the house.
"Man bring y'all butt in here so you can get whooped too." Ashton yelled.
"100 dollars you won't go jump in that pool, he know he won't." Wooda said baiting Murda.
"Nahh you better pay for my rims or something. Come out your pockets."
"Bet." Wooda said agreeing to buy his rims if he jumps in a freezing pool.
"I wanna see this." Ashton said everyone got up going outside. We walked down the street to a nearby pool.
"He gone be sick." I said standing next to kehlani and Destiny.
"Nah for real."
He took his shirt off and ran to the pool jumping in.
"OUU!" He said hurriedly and getting out. We all stood there looking at him crazy as Ashton and Kane hyped him up.
"Better get you some nice ass rims." Kane said to Murda before he ran back to the house.
"I guess it was worth it if he doesn't get pneumonia." Kehlani said making us nodded.
"AH!" Destiny screamed because Wooda threw a snowball at her. Me and Kehlani looked at her shocked laughing.
"Oh my gosh." Kehlani said before I helped dust her off.
"You gone let him do you like that?" I asked she ran over to him throwing snow on him. Me and Kehlani laughed as we kept walking watching them run back to the house.
"You laughing?" Kane said before he tackled me into the snow.
"I know you lying." I looked over at him seeing him laughing throwing a snowball in kehlani's face. I smiled before I threw snow in his face.
"Get em!" I told kehlani as she help me throw snow on him. I push him down making him slip when he tried to get up.
"Y'all ain't shit." He said smiling.
"Make a circle, make a circle." Kehlani played as we kept pushing him down.
"Come on." I said making both me and Kehlani run back to momma browns laughing.
