Chapter 10: Triumph Above All Chapter 10

Yulia gritted her teeth and exclaimed, “Nicholas nearly killed my father, grandma. I’d rather die than to marry someone as cruel as him!”

However, Madam Sue questioned her, “Do you think this was a discussion? If you don’t marry him, our family’s business will be ruined by you!”

“I’m not marrying him!” Yulia exclaimed while she teared up.

It seemed that ever since she gave birth to her daughter, her family began judging her constantly. So, she felt that they had no right to put her family’s glory and shame all on her shoulders alone.

“Good. Very well!” Madam Sue was so furious that her body trembled as she continued, “Since you don’t care about our family, you can leave us then! Yvonne will be solely in charge of Kareem Fashion starting tomorrow!”

Yvonne was ecstatic to hear that. It turned out that she had been yearning for Yulia’s position for a really long time since “Grandma, you…” Yulia’s heart sank and felt humiliated.

Suddenly, Skylar approached her with Lola in his arms and said, “Let’s go, Yulia. I can give you and Lola a much better life without your family!”

“I’m hungry, mommy…” Lola said in a sad voice.

This ached Yulia’s heart, so she left with Skylar without looking back.

“It’s all Skylar’s fault mom. I have no idea what he did to charm Yulia, but if you want to lash out, you should go after him. Please don’t get Lincoln and I involved in this.” Betty pleaded with Madam Sue.

However, Madam Sue yelled, “Lincoln, you useless brat! You can’t even keep your daughter in line! I will give you three days. If Yulia is still acting this way, you can leave by then!”

Madam Sue left with Charles and Yvonne after that.

So, Lincoln and Betty returned to their home defeated.

However, as soon as Betty noticed that Yulia had brought Skylar home, both Lincoln and her looked incredibly bitter.

So, Skylar said, “Don’t worry. Just give me two days and I’ll be able to give you a life much better than your family could ever provide.”

“Just leave! Will it hurt you to stop boasting?”

Betty continued, “Does it make you happy to see our family exiled? Look, if you really love Yulia, you should leave as far away from us as possible! Didn’t you hear? Yvonne and Nicholas are invited to attend the ceremony earlier at the hospital. You offended both of them and your days are already numbered. How do you expect to give us a life much better than our family could?”

However, Lincoln stood aside with a serious look. Although Skylar had saved his life, all of the problems were caused by Skylar. He understood that although his family never took him seriously, he did not wish to ruin his family because of him.

Upon hearing that, Skylar turned to Yulia and said, “I have already decided to give Yulia a life of glory when she accepted the Dragon Seal back then. Both your family or the Wexler family are nothing to me. Oh and the invitation that you yearned so much for, well, as long as Yulia wanted to, I can make her the star in the ceremony!”

Hearing this made Betty roll her eyes as she said, “Gosh, you sure can boast! I don’t have the energy to speak to him. Lincoln, your daughter started this, so why are you being a coward right now?”

After that, Betty turned around and headed upstairs.

It seemed that Charles found it awkward to speak to Skylar, so he sat beside Yulia and said,”Yulia, I understand that Skylar has incredible medical skills and is acknowledged by Dr. Wexler, but he turned his offer down. This shows just how arrogant of a person he was. Do you think someone who was Yvonne’s rebound for five years and had pretty much spent all his money can make you the star of the ceremony? Look, although Nicholas was rude, his family is wealthy. You’d live a life without worry if you marry him.”

However, Yulia scoffed and said, “Don’t you forget that Nicholas wanted you dead earlier, dad.”

Charles became flustered after that and was rendered speechless. He said, “Fine, it’s been a long day.

You should bathe Lola now and we’ll talk tomorrow.”

Charles returned to his room after that.

“Say Yulia, are you willing to allow Madam Sue to force you out from the company?” Skylar asked.

Yulia’s gaze dimmed as she shook her head and said, “I’ve spent three short years to get Kareem fashions to where it is today. It is the most profitable company my family owns. Only I know how much effort I poured into this company. However, grandma took it from me, so I’m very unhappy about it. But, what can I do anyway?”

After some thought, Skylar said, “Well, since you aren’t willing to leave, then allow me to make Yvonne return what’s rightfully yours!”

Yulia chuckled bitterly and said, “Gosh, how can you still boast about stuff at a time like this?”

Skylar was speechless when she said that.

I mean, I’m only holding back because you claimed that I was boasting. This is why I told you that I’ll do something about it, or else, I could’ve easily ordered the complete annihilation of the Sue family.

“I’ll bathe Lola now. You can clean up the room next door and sleepover for a night before my grandma kicks us out.”

Yulia sighed and went to the washroom with Lola.

After that, Skylar called Dianne and said, “I need you to find out a list of clients Kareem Fashion have and send it to me.”

“Yes sir!” Dianne went straight to work after that.

After a couple of minutes, Skylar received the file sent by Dianne. She had included all of the other subsidiaries owned by the Sue family aside from Kareem Fashions.

After skimming over the files, Skylar came up with an idea and gave Dianne her second order.

The following morning came.

Yvonne was dressed in a long red dress as she entered the president’s office in a pair of really high heels.

She felt as if her life had peaked when she sat down on Yulia’s seat.

“Inform every manager from every department that we’ll have a meeting right now.” Yvonne told her assistant.

“What would the meeting agenda be…” Yvonne’s assistant asked.

Yvonne rolled her eyes and said, “You have a new president and yet none of you held a welcome party for me. I need to ask them what they were thinking!”

Her assistant was startled by this as she said, “Yes ma’am. I’ll get right to it.”

Suddenly, the supervisor from the production team rushed in while announcing, “This is bad, Ms. Sue.

Our company is in serious trouble!”
