Chapter 22 Breaking Up
Carna, who was sitting aside and covering her chest, saw her sisterâs condition, involuntarily gritting her teeth and scrunching up her brows.
Even with a forbidden drug, Cardory failed to completely suppress Odin. When did this person reach such a terrifying stage? The last time I sparred with him, he wasnât that strong. Perhaps Odin was hiding his strength, not even using 70% of his real strength?
Thinking of this, Carnaâs expression turned ugly.
âSister, stop!â Full of anxiety, Carna couldnât help but shout at Cardory to stop her.
However, Cardory was already fuming and no one could persuade her to stop, not to mention Cardoryâs berserk state, no one was willing to step forward to intervene.
âCardory, your stamina is at its limit. Iâll give you one final chanceâ¦â Staring at the Cardory with bloodied eyes, Odin said.
However, the latter didnât give Odin any chance for him to complete his sentence as she gritted her teeth and rushed at Odin. Silently cursing, âF*ck.â, Odin hurriedly exchanged 100 EXP for 10 points of stamina to recover some of his power. He weaved around, dodging Cardoryâs gradually ruthless punches.
In fact, Cardory had reached her limit. She was relying on her final bit of strength to defeat Odin but the latter as if having unlimited stamina, his dodging speed was even faster. Cardory soon failed to keep up with Odinâs speed and her punches were slowly weakening.
The worst thing was the drug only lasted for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes went by, the backlash would cause Cardory to paralyze.
13 minutes had passed after ingesting the drug. If she couldnât defeat Odin in the remaining two minutes then, she was utterly defeated. Her eyes were red with anxiety and her teeth were rattling.
She forcefully heightened her speed, trying to catch up with Odinâs dodging speed. Seeing her fist almost crash into Odinâs heart, Odin leaned right and kicked at Cardoryâs crotch simultaneously.
âAh!!!â An intense pain came from her crotch, causing Cardory unable to stand still and kneel on the ground. Before she could stand up, Odin landed another kick on her shoulder. Although it wasnât any fatal area, Odinâs strength was too powerful and with each kick, Cardoryâs bones were crushed.
She intended to defeat Odin in the remaining two minutes but now it became a one-sided beating. After the drug lost its effect, Cardory puked out a mouthful of blood as she motionlessly lay on the ground with bruises all over her body.
The veins on her forehead popped out, apparently because she overexerted her stamina.
âSis!â Among the three, Carna was the one still conscious. Slowly crawling to the front of Cardory, her trembled finger was placed on Cardoryâs nose while her eyes filled with tears.
Cardory laying on the ground motionlessly caused Carna to be afraid as some users of the drug had passed away because of overexerting stamina.
Fortunately, she was still alive and Carna cried out with slight devastation. Because of dragging the injury on her chest, Carna yelped again and let out another mouthful of blood.
âOdin! I wonât let you get away with this!â Carnaâs eyes were viciously glaring at Odin.
âIâll be waiting.â Wiping the traces of blood on his mouth, Odin left the Ground Combat Club without looking back.
The partners who used to cooperate split apart just like this. Odin stood in front of the clubâs entrance with slight frustration. In fact, he really liked the siblings. If it wasnât for Carlot angering him today, the matter probably wonât escalate to this state.
It was just that tomorrow was an important match. He had broken up with the Ground Combat Club, so he couldnât help them. It was up to them how much they could recover before the match. If they couldnât appear in the match, that was the end of the Detroit Ground Combat Club.
The following day, Odin even went to spectate the match.
Coincidentally, the one facing the Ground Combat Club was the Silver Snake Combat Club. Because of the siblingsâ heavy injuries, they sent an ordinary member to fight the Silver Snake.
As for the one sent by the Silver Snake, it was Chris, who sent the envelope to Odin.
As per usual, he was wearing a cap and his eyebrows were hidden by the cap. No one could clearly see his facial expression, giving an ominous feeling to others.
The contestant from the Ground Combat Club was ordinary. Just facing Chrisâs Qi energy, he was already gasping for air as his face was turning green.
Before the match even began, the victor had already been decided. Chris was not in a hurry to take action. He was circling in the ring as if trying to shatter his opponent psychologically.
All of a sudden, Chris stopped. Like a snake sprang at its prey with a âwhooshâ, his opponent had no time to react before being struck right at the chest and sent flying four or five meters away. If the ring didnât have a fence surrounding it, he might have flown out by now.
The man crashed onto the fence with a shocking pain coming from his chest that caused him to suffocate for a moment. Propping his fists on the ground, the man was struggling to stand up but ultimately, as if losing his strength, he lay on the ground unconscious.
Although the Ground Combat Clubâs contestant was ordinary, Chrisâs Agility utterly suppressed him to the point he couldnât even fight back. This showed Chris of the Silver Snake wasnât a simple person.
Odin was able to discern Silver Snakeâs traits from this match. It was part of the reason Odin remained to watch the match since there was a possibility for Silver Snake to come knocking at his door. Know yourself and your enemies, and you shall win a hundred battles without loss.
Judging from this match, Silver Snakeâs main focus was speed and Agility. Like a snake psychologically intimidated its prey, then wrapped itself around the prey with a snake-like speed before finally devouring the prey.
A very nasty tactic.
Chris, who was in the ring, didnât care about the injuries he caused for his opponent. He abruptly turned around, staring at Odinâs location as if detected Odin.
Fearlessly, Odin raised his head and glared at him with a sharp gaze.
Odin couldnât see Chirsâs expression clearly but he sensed Chirs was smiling at him. Arching the pale lips, Chris as if a snake looking at its prey and spitting out its red forked tongue.
Odin returned a smile at him. Without paying any attention to the other side, he left the arena.
