As the sun dipped below the horizon and stars began to twinkle in the darkening sky, the group gathered around the roaring campfire. The crackling flames cast warm shadows on their faces, and the smell of roasted marshmallows filled the air.
Amber clapped her hands together with excitement. âAlright! Campfire stories time!â
Venti grinned mischievously, holding a stick with a half-burnt marshmallow on the end. âWho wants to hear a ghost story? I promise itâll be absolutely terrifying!â
Scaramouche rolled his eyes, arms crossed. âYour stories are more comedy than horror, windbag.â
Lumine chuckled, biting into her marshmallow. âIâm actually curious. Go on, Venti.â
Venti cleared his throat dramatically and began his tale.
âThe Tale of the Forest Shadowâ
âThere once was a camper who wandered too far into the forest at nightâ¦â Venti began in a low, eerie voice. The others leaned closer to the fire.
As Venti continued, Kazuhaâs calm face seemed to pale slightly as he glanced toward the shadowy treeline behind them. Ayaka clutched Amberâs arm tightly, while Aether casually munched on chips, unimpressed.
âAnd then⦠THE SHADOW APPEARED BEHIND HIM!â Venti suddenly shouted, causing Amber and Ayaka to shriek, clutching each other.
Scaramouche smirked. âPathetic.â
But just then, a branch snapped behind them.
Everyone froze.
Lumineâs eyes darted to the trees. âDid⦠did anyone else hear that?â
Amber squeaked. âI-Itâs probably just an animal⦠right?â
Kazuha stood up, his eyes scanning the darkness. âIâll check it out.â
Before anyone could stop him, Kazuha disappeared into the treeline.
Five Minutes Laterâ¦
Kazuha suddenly emerged from the bushes with an unbothered expression. âIt was just a squirrel.â
Venti sighed in relief. âWell, there goes the spooky mood.â
Scaramouche smirked. âSquirrel or not, some of you looked ready to run for your lives.â
Amber pouted. âI wasnât scared⦠just⦠surprised!â
The group laughed and continued their night around the fire, roasting marshmallows and sharing silly stories.

Later That Night â Midnight Chaos
When it was time for everyone to head back to their tents, the real chaos began.
Amber & Ayakaâs Tent:
Amber was already tucked into her sleeping bag, snoring lightly, while Ayaka nervously peeked out of the tent flap every few minutes.
âAmber⦠what if the shadow from Ventiâs story comes after us?â Ayaka whispered.
Amber mumbled in her sleep, âJust⦠give it a marshmallowâ¦â
Ayaka sighed, realizing her tentmate was deep in dreamland.
Venti & Albedoâs Tent:
Venti lay sprawled across half of their tent, snoring loudly and hugging his bag of marshmallows like a pillow.
Albedo sat cross-legged, his flashlight aimed at a science journal. âHow did I end up with him as a tentmateâ¦â
Venti let out a loud snore, followed by a muffled, âNo⦠my marshmallowsâ¦â
Albedo sighed and rubbed his temples.
Kazuha & Aetherâs Tent:
Aether was trying to organize their bags while Kazuha peacefully meditated in the corner.
âAether, you donât have to rearrange everything again. Itâs fine,â Kazuha said calmly.
Aether paused mid-sorting. âBut what if I lose something important? Like⦠snacks!â
Kazuha chuckled. âWeâll survive the night, Aether.â
Lumine & Scaramoucheâs Tent:
Lumine was lying down in her sleeping bag, staring at the tent ceiling while Scaramouche sat cross-legged beside her, scrolling through his phone. (Random)
âWhy arenât you sleeping?â Lumine asked.
âWhy arenât you sleeping?â Scaramouche countered, not looking away from his screen.
Lumine sighed. âItâs too quiet. It feels⦠weird.â
Scaramouche smirked faintly. âIf youâre scared, you can move closer. I promise I wonât bite.â
Lumine threw her pillow at him. âShut up and go to sleep!â
Scaramouche chuckled softly but put his phone away and lay down.
The Midnight Prank:
Around 2 AM, Aether suddenly poked his head into Lumine and Scaramoucheâs tent.
âHey! You guys awake?â
Scaramouche groaned. âWhat now, Blondie?â
Aether grinned mischievously. âPrank time. Letâs hit Ventiâs tent with water balloons.â
Lumineâs eyes widened. âYou brought water balloons?!â
Aether smirked. âAlways prepared.â
Minutes later, Lumine, Aether, and Scaramouche crept up to Venti and Albedoâs tent with water balloons in hand.
âOn three,â Aether whispered. âOne⦠two⦠THREE!â
The balloons burst loudly against the tent, and a very startled Venti let out a high-pitched scream.
âMY MARSHMALLOWS ARE DROWNING!â Venti wailed.
Albedo sighed deeply from inside. âI shouldâve slept in the carâ¦â
The trio ran back to their tents, trying (and failing) to stifle their laughter.

As the night wore on and the chaos finally settled, the group slowly drifted off to sleep under the starry sky.
Tomorrow promised more adventures, more chaos, and undoubtedly, more unforgettable memories.
