One year later:
Kenna's POV
As I sit by the window, gazing at the sun setting in the distance from our apartment on the tenth floor, I think about my life.
Tyler and I now live together in our apartment. He moved out of his old apartment a few months after I was discharged from Travenford.
I managed to find a job and save up enough to afford buying an apartment with him.
Our families met and were quite happy that we'd taken the next step.
Mom and Ben are still seeing each other, taking things slow.
Jason, Danica, and a few others of the hospital staff still keep in touch and visit us at our apartment regularly, making our friendship stronger every time we're together.
Ally never reached out to me. All these years of knowing her, and I guess I never actually knew her. My best friend wanted nothing to do with me, and I was finally able to make peace with it.
Tyler mentioned that Alexa quit working at Travenford and moved to another country. Whatever the reason, I wasn't complaining.
Through the subtraction and addition of people, problems, and happiness in my life, I've learned a lot.
And not just learned, but survived too.
Yes, I'm a survivor.
