Chapter 1085:
After all, it was the Aston family that would suffer the fallout.
With a sigh, Tilda said, âMom, did Eileen plan to leave Alverton before? Are you sure youâre not just giving her a reason to stick around?â
âI let you study abroad, but you came back acting like an idiot!â Kamila snapped. âYouâre too gullible. Do you really think Eileen and Bryan are going to leave just because they say so?â She didnât trust it, even if Bryan had shown her the flight ticket he had booked last time.
âI donât know if theyâll actually leave or not. After all the trouble youâve caused, could they leave now?â Tilda said as she stood up and grabbed her bag. âIâm married now. Iâm staying out of the Aston familyâs matters. Youâre on your own.â With that, she turned and walked out.
Kamila watched her leave, her expression souring. As Tilda left, Keith walked in.
Kamila quickly got up and signaled to Jaliyah and Harrell. The two immediately got up and moved over, trying to smooth things over between Kamila and Keith.
Kamila wasnât the type to apologize, and Keith was still upset. He didnât make any effort to speak first, leaving an uncomfortable tension between them.
âWho told you to post that online?â Keith vented his anger on Jaliyah. âI warned you beforeâif you want a chance of returning to the Aston family, youâd better start behaving.â
âThat was posted yesterday. It only became a trending topic this morningâ¦â Jaliyah pouted.
Keith didnât buy her excuse for a second, but he wasnât much of a talker, and his position made it awkward for him to argue. He just walked into the room with a stoic expression. It wasnât until lunchtime that Keith finally spoke up.

After a long fight, the news circulating online had been effectively suppressed.
Eileen knew it wasnât Bryanâs doingâhe had been preoccupied with her the entire night, leaving him no time to manage the situation.
She had barely slept and was awakened by Gabriela the next morning. She had promised Gabriela the day before that she would wake up early and spend time with her, and she had to keep her word.
Playing in the garden with Gabriela, Eileen occasionally glanced at her phone, checking for updates. She finally put her phone away once she confirmed there was no new information on the matter.
âDaddy!â Gabriela ran after her.
As the morning sun cast its golden glow, Bryan returned from his early jog, his frame clearly defined beneath his casual sportswear.
âYou didnât go to VQ Group today?â Eileen asked.
âIâve already got everything under control at VQ Group,â Bryan replied, wiping his face with a towel, his gaze steady. He had been busy preparing for their departure ever since she mentioned wanting to return to Onaland. Everything had been meticulously handled.
Eileen stood up and said, âMake the most of this peaceful situation now to get ready to leave! Whatever unfolds here tomorrow is none of our business.â
