Chapter 1135:
âMrs. Deleon?â Eileenâs frown deepened. Why didnât she recognize someone so familiar in Onaland?
Eileen thought the womanâs figure looked familiar as well. Before she could pinpoint where she had seen the woman previously, Leylaâs examination concluded. Eileen entered the room to help Leyla adjust her clothing.
âMrs. Vazquez is in excellent health. I heard you drove here from Alverton?â the doctor said, holding up the heart examination results. âSheâs in great shape. Make sure sheâs well cared for. However, it would be best not to have her travel too much in the future.â
Before Eileen could respond, Leyla, smiling, waved to the doctor and said, âI was the one who wanted to come with Eileen. Wherever she goes, thatâs my home. Iâm planning to stay in Onaland indefinitely. Itâs much nicer here.â Upon hearing this, the doctor handed the report to Eileen and reassured her, âDonât worry. Sheâs fine.â
After a few more tests, Eileen assisted Leyla as they left the examination room.
At the far end of the room, a pair of eyes peered through a window at Eileenâs back.
Even after Eileen and Leyla had disappeared down the corridor, those eyes continued to gaze in the direction they had gone.
âMrs. Deleon, we should head back now,â the servant said.
The woman nodded and replied, âLetâs go.â
She then opened the door and walked in the opposite direction from Eileen.
Eileen instructed the driver to take Leyla home first while she went to visit Dalores.
The doctor had not set up a separate ward for Dalores, allowing her to wear her own clothes and stay in Emersonâs ward. This arrangement helped keep Dalores from feeling too anxious.

The VIP ward had been warmly decorated, resembling a cozy home. In the next room, Julio was involved in an online meeting. His voice, deep and resonant, carried a tone of anger.
Eileen said softly to Dalores, âIt looks like youâre recovering better than expected.â
âActuallyâ¦â Dalores lowered her head and said, âItâs just an old wound from my childhood. It doesnât bother me as long as Emerson is well.â
Eileen set down the new toys she had purchased for Emerson, who was happy when he saw them. âIn that case, love and care help you heal. Iâm not aware of what youâve been through before, but since Julio could help you before, heâs capable of doing it again. You must trust him completely,â Eileen said.
Daloresâ eyes welled with tears. Memories of her pastâbitter, gratifying, and tinged with subtle sadnessâflooded back. âMy mood can be difficult, but⦠Julio promised to care for Emerson,â Dalores whispered. Her underlying pain remained unchanged, yet she felt better because of Julioâs promise.
Removing Daloresâ deep-seated issues proved difficult, prompting Eileen to shift the topic and spend some time playing with Emerson. Shortly after, Julio emerged from the room, massaging the area between his eyebrows, his expression weary.
âWhatâs wrong?â Eileen asked, her curiosity piqued. She knew they had ended their party early the previous night to be at the hospital.
