Chapter 374:
Ruby was concerned about Gabriela, assuming Milford was at home caring for her, so she called him to check.
âYes, heâs taking good care of her while youâre away. Heâs also eager for you to come back so he can explain something to you properly,â Eileen said. She suspected that even if Ruby returned, Bryan would be reluctant to hand Gabriela over.
âHeâs a man and has never done this kind of thing before. Iâm worried he wonât be able to look after her well. I canât stay at Baileeâs anymore. Iâll come back as soon as possible to help with the baby.â
After a little more conversation, Ruby ended the video call.
Turning around, Eileen saw that Bryan had not only washed the dishes downstairs, but he had also showered. Climbing into bed, he held their daughter in his arms and then reached out for Eileen.
Eileen set her phone aside and lay down next to Bryan with her head on his chest, and his arm holding her tightly.
âThe teething biscuit was a bit of a disaster; it crumbled,â Bryan said, sounding frustrated. âI canât give it to Gabriela.â
âThen just buy some,â Eileen suggested, gently holding Gabrielaâs small hand. She had missed her after a day apart.
Gabriela wiggled, nestling into Bryanâs body, her little face turning towards Eileen.
âThe ones you buy are full of additives; itâs safer if I make them myself! Iâll try again tomorrow,â Bryan said as he kissed Eileenâs forehead and squeezed her hand. Then he leaned in and asked her a very serious question. âWhere would be the most suitable place for us tonight?â
Feel the magic on gαâηÏνððsâ¤com Eileen tensed and gave Bryan a puzzled look. Werenât they already lying in bed? Surely, they werenât considering the garden outside, were they?
âIâm worried about disturbing Gabriela,â Bryan explained earnestly. âAnd since sheâs just a baby, it wouldnât be appropriate to be near her when weââ
âWhat does she understand?â Eileen shielded Gabrielaâs chubby little body with her hand, ensuring she didnât roll off the bed.
Bryan furrowed his brows, asking, âAre you sure?â
Eileen hesitated for a moment. She lowered her head to look at Gabriela, who was staring back with wide-open eyes. Eileen was certain Gabriela didnât grasp anything going on around her. Even if she were to wake up, she wouldnât understand what was happening.
When Eileen recalled how Bryan had passionately kissed her the previous night with Gabriela watching, making gentle cooing sounds with wide eyes, she felt a bit embarrassed.
âSheâs sleepy. Go prepare some formula,â Eileen suggested, noticing Gabrielaâs sounds that indicated she was hungry.
