Chapter 403:
Ruby, initially ready to begin her meal, paused at Bryanâs words. She saw the sincerity in his expression and knew he wouldnât be able to relax until the issue was addressed.
Setting down her spoon, she spoke up, âWell, I need to know something. Can you assure me that the issues of the past wonât repeat?â
Eileen was taken aback by Rubyâs directness and turned to Bryan, curious to see how he would respond.
âI can guarantee that, not just in words, but in actions,â Bryan declared. He then stood, carefully placed Gabriela in her stroller, and retrieved some documents that Josue had prepared but wasnât allowed to deliver personally. Given the gravity of the matter, he was concerned things might worsen with Josueâs presence.
âThese documents are the share transfer notices for EB Group, along with all properties registered in my name. Iâve signed them over to Eileen unconditionally,â he explained as he laid the papers in front of her. âEverything is legitimate. Once you sign them and theyâre notarized, theyâll take effect immediately. From that point on, Iâll own nothing; everything will be yours.â
Stunned by the extent of Bryanâs preparations, Eileen couldnât hide her shock. Even his shares in EB Group?
âNo, noâ¦â Ruby interjected, clearly surprised. âThatâs not what I was asking for. I didnât mean for you to give up everything to Eileen!â
Bryan calmly resumed his seat and gently lifted Gabriela into his arms again. âI did this willingly as a commitment to both of you. Itâs my way of showing you both how serious I am.â
His earnestness was evident, and it was clear he had thought this through carefully, preparing everything in advance.
Fresh updates available at galnoνeâsâ¤cøm Eileen glanced at Ruby, who averted her gaze, suddenly feeling that perhaps she had overstepped. âI shouldnât have brought this up. Itâs your decision to make,â Ruby murmured, feeling a pang of guilt for pushing Bryan into a corner.
âWeâll discuss this later.â Eileen gently pushed the documents back towards Bryan, suggesting, âLetâs eat first.â
Bryan, however, was resolute, sliding the papers back to her. âIt canât wait. Iâve made my decision clear, and I need you to accept them now.â
His eyes locked on Eileen, his expression unyielding, urging her to sign right then and there.
Eileen, feeling overwhelmed, responded, âWhy would you transfer the EB Group shares to me? Managing the company without any shares will complicate things for you in the future.â Not having any shares would surely put him at a disadvantage with the shareholders.
Bryan replied calmly, âIâll be recovering from my injuries for a few months, and EB Group canât just pause operations. With the shares in your hands, itâs perfect for you to oversee things.â
