Chapter 412:
Julioâs gaze shifted slightly, landing on Benjamin. After a pause, he laughed. âDo you think I donât trust her? Iâm just considering whether I can step in to solve this for her. Sheâs a woman, after all. Leaving her to handle this alone makes me feel a bit guilty.â
âMr. Freguson, donât feel guilty about this. Just double my year-end bonus, and weâll call it even,â Eileen said with a playful grin, brushing off the unexpected crisis with ease.
Her light-hearted comment brought a wave of relief to Julio. After the meeting concluded, Eileen stepped out of the conference room and immediately spotted Raymond.
Raymond hurried over, a file in his hand. âMs. Curtis, Mr. Freguson, Mr. NashâIâve compiled a list of those spreading rumors. Should we address it now, or wait until the situation stabilizes?â
âLetâs wait until things settle down. No need to rush,â Eileen replied casually, glancing at the list. It included the men who wanted to take over Trentonâs club.
Raymond nodded and continued, âI also have a list of clients who are looking to terminate their contracts with Freguson Group. Some are hesitant to sign, while others specifically want to meet with you, Ms. Curtis, before finalizing anything. Their contact information is included.â
âGet in touch with them right away. Book a room for tonight and ensure they all attend. If they canât make it, do whatever it takes to get them there.â
Eileen wasnât one to procrastinate, especially when it came to important matters, so Raymond wasted no time, immediately setting her plans into motion.
Back in her office, Eileen called Bryan to inform him that she wouldnât be home for dinner.
.com hosts great stories âYou know, Raymond is truly a gem,â she added.
On the other end of the line, Bryanâs grip on the phone tightened. âWhat did you say?â
âI said, Raymond is a gem,â Eileen repeated, unaware of the jealousy brewing on Bryanâs end.
She didnât notice anything unusual about praising Raymond right after mentioning that sheâd miss dinner.
She continued, âHeâs incredibly efficient! Itâs like he can read my mind. I never have to give him detailed instructions; he just knows what to do and gets it done perfectly!â
Bryan was upset.
He had given all his shares and property to Eileen, yet she hadnât even praised him. Now, she was calling Raymond a gem.
âYou pay him a salary; itâs his responsibility to do his job well.â
Did a salaried employee deserve that kind of acknowledgment?
Eileen could sense a hint of jealousy in Bryanâs tone.
