Chapter 427:
Eileen raised a hand to halt the flurry of activity. âNo need for that. Iâm actually here to find someone.â
A collective sigh of relief passed through the group.
âPlease, return to your duties. At the reception, could you help me check in on two guests?â Eileen directed the staff back to their positions and approached the front desk.
The receptionist, now focused, followed Eileen.
âCertainly, Ms. Curtis. Who are we looking for?â
âCheck if thereâs a room booked under the name Zola Murray,â Eileen instructed, glancing at her watch. She wasnât sure whether the reservation would be under Zolaâs name or her companionâs. If not, sheâd have to review the surveillance footage.
While the receptionist continued her search, the staff quietly observed Eileen, finding her even more impressive in person than in the photographs circulating online. Her presence exuded both authority and elegance, causing everyone to become more vigilant, worried that any misstep might draw her reprimand.
A security guard murmured under his breath, âNot only is she impressively capable, but sheâs stunningly beautiful too.â
âI know, what man could possibly be her equal?â another staff member chimed in curiously.
âWasnât there some buzz about her and the former CEO of Apex Group, Mr. Dawson? Although the rumors have been mixed lately,â one added, fueling the speculative conversation.
âChances are slim now. You mentioned âformerâ CEO. His fortunes have dipped too low to align with Ms. Curtis,â another pointed out skeptically.
More to discover gαâηÏνeâsâ¤cøm âHasnât he recently founded EB Group?â
âWhat of it? New ventures struggle to gain ground.â
âBut I heard itâs already gone public, and itâs claimed a lot of Apex Groupâs assets. Seems like smooth sailing from here.â
âButâ¦â The conversation took a disdainful turn as the guard concluded, âSnatching Apex Groupâs resources and starting his own company? Shameful! Heâs not worthy of Ms. Curtis.â
The group collectively agreedâno one could truly meet the lofty standards they imagined for Ms. Curtis.
At that moment, the receptionist looked up. âMs. Curtis, Iâve located the booking.â She handed Eileen the information. âMiss Murray reserved a themed room about forty minutes ago.â
âPlease retrieve the surveillance footage of their check-in, monitor their checkout time, and send me the footage afterward,â Eileen instructed calmly.
