Chapter 654:
Stella pondered for a moment before asking, âWhat about Eileenâs colleagues?â
I understand she has a good rapport with Julio and also with Bryanâs former assistant. Whatâs his name again?â
âBenjamin Nash,â Eileen answered.
Stella immediately nodded, âYes, I heard you have a good relationship with him, and that you were classmates in college.â
âYes, weâve known each other for quite some time,â Eileen replied.
âBenjamin used to work for Kian, right? Why did you get him to join your side so suddenly? What convinced him to agree?â Stella asked.
Sensing something was off, Eileen frowned.
Had Kian been here simply to spread rumors and defame her and Benjamin?
But this was still insufficient to cause a commotion.
âHe had grievances with Kianâs actions from the past,â Eileen said, leaving it at that. âAdditionally, during that period, the Warren family was on the brink of collapse. He was urgently seeking a new job, so his transfer was quite understandable.â
Stella remained persistent. âSo, how did you recruit your competitorâs assistant? Do you have a good relationship with him privately?â
Eileen responded straightforwardly, âIf you have questions, just ask me directly. Thereâs no need to beat around the bush. To clarify, Iâve known Benjamin for over a decade. We were classmates in college and had an academic rivalry. Although weâre not on the best terms, he has helped me.â
Despite Eileenâs clear answer, Stella had more questions on her mind.
However, noticing Bryanâs icy demeanor, she decided to shift the conversation. âItâs just a casual chat. Eileen, could you check on the kitchen? Theyâre preparing all your favorite dishes.â

With Eileen gone, only Bryan and Stella remained in the living room.
Stella leaned closer to Bryan and whispered, âDo you know Gabrielaâs birthday?â
âI do,â Bryan replied. Gabrielaâs birth was his first experience holding a baby, and discovering that Gabriela was his daughter made that moment unforgettable for him.
âJuly 26th,â Bryan said.
Stella continued after noting the date, âI heard about the time Kian trapped you and Eileen on a mountain. Is it true that Eileen was taken away by Benjamin then?â
Bryan frowned upon hearing this and then realized what Stella was implying. âWhatâs on your mind?â
âItâs not that Iâm overthinking. Iâm simply concerned about you,â Stella said, doing some quick calculations. âEven though Gabriela isnât a boy, she will still be entitled to inherit your assets in the future. If she is not your daughter, wouldnât it be unfair for her to inherit your wealth?â
Speaking quietly to avoid Eileen overhearing, Stella continued, âMake sure to arrange for a paternity test for Gabriela when you get the chance.â
Bryanâs eyes suddenly became cold, as though filled with an icy frost.
