Stella pondered for a moment before asking, “What about Eileen’s colleagues?”

“Benjamin Nash,” Eileen answered.

Stella immediately nodded, “Yes, I heard you have a good relationship with him, and that you were classmates in college.”

“Yes, we’ve known each other for quite some time,” Eileen replied.

“Benjamin used to work for Kian, right? Why did you get him to join your side so suddenly? What convinced him to agree?” Stella asked.

Sensing something was off, Eileen frowned.

Had Kian been here simply to spread rumors and defame her and Benjamin?

But this was still insufficient to cause a commotion.

“He had grievances with Kian’s actions from the past,” Eileen said, leaving it at that. “Additionally, during that period, the Warren family was on the brink of collapse. He was urgently seeking a new job, so his transfer was quite understandable.”

Stella remained persistent. “So, how did you recruit your competitor’s assistant? Do you have a good relationship with him privately?”

Eileen responded straightforwardly, “If you have questions, just ask me directly. There’s no need to beat around the bush. To clarify, I’ve known Benjamin for over a decade. We were classmates in college and had an academic rivalry. Although we’re not on the best terms, he has helped me.”

Despite Eileen’s clear answer, Stella had more questions on her mind.

However, noticing Bryan’s icy demeanor, she decided to shift the conversation. “It’s just a casual chat. Eileen, could you check on the kitchen? They’re preparing all your favorite dishes.”

“July 26th,” Bryan said.

Stella continued after noting the date, “I heard about the time Kian trapped you and Eileen on a mountain. Is it true that Eileen was taken away by Benjamin then?”

Bryan frowned upon hearing this and then realized what Stella was implying. “What’s on your mind?”

“It’s not that I’m overthinking. I’m simply concerned about you,” Stella said, doing some quick calculations. “Even though Gabriela isn’t a boy, she will still be entitled to inherit your assets in the future. If she is not your daughter, wouldn’t it be unfair for her to inherit your wealth?”

Speaking quietly to avoid Eileen overhearing, Stella continued, “Make sure to arrange for a paternity test for Gabriela when you get the chance.”

Bryan’s eyes suddenly became cold, as though filled with an icy frost.
