Chapter 683:
Responses started coming in almost immediately.
They were now scouring every possible location for Christos.
After tending to Bryanâs body and replacing his hospital gown with a fresh one, Eileen helped clip his nails.
A wave of emotions washed over the caregiver as she observed how well Eileen was taking care of Bryan. It was surprising that Eileen was still willing to hire her.
âI will come by whenever Iâm free. Do your job well, and youâll be paid well,â Eileen said in a serious tone.
Her words brought the caregiver back to reality. She understood the underlying meaning behind Eileenâs words. Nodding, the caregiver quickly responded, âYou have nothing to worry about, Ms. Curtis. Iâll take good care of Mr. Dawson.â
Eileen simply nodded. She then turned her gaze to Bryan. With reluctance in her eyes, she softly said, âIâm leaving now. I might not be able to come by for a few days, but Iâll return as soon as Iâm done handling things.â
Her voice was gentle, as if soothing a child. She leaned closer to Bryanâs perfectly sculpted face, her eyes welling up with tears.
She didnât feel sorry for herself, but for Bryan. It would be better if he were completely unconscious. But what if he was aware of what was going on around him but just couldnât move? He would feel so lonely that way.
Eileen pressed her forehead against Bryanâs. She knew she needed to stay strong for him.
âThe phone is on the table. Call me when you wake up,â she whispered to him.
She then pressed a kiss on his forehead. However, Bryan didnât react to her touch as he lay motionless, making her heart ache.

She had just entered the Ferguson Group when she received a call from Julio.
âWhere are you, Eileen?â Julio asked, his voice filled with urgency.
Frowning, Eileen answered, âI just arrived at the company.â
âCome to my office immediately,â Julio said, his tone leaving no room for delay.
Hurriedly, Eileen made her way to Julioâs office.
Inside, Julio was pacing restlessly. The look on his face was one of urgency, and he looked tired. It was clear that something significant had happened.
Eileen could guess what had happened. She walked into the office, her expression concerned. âWhatâs going on?â
Noticing her arrival, Julio rushed to her and asked, âHave you seen Dalores?â
âNo. What happened to her? Isnât she with you?â Eileen asked, frowning.
Julioâs frown deepened at Eileenâs response. âShe ran away. A few days ago, she went out with the nanny to a maternity store. While the nanny wasnât looking, Dalores managed to slip away.â
Julio hadnât brought up the matter of Dalores before because Eileen had been dealing with a lot, and he hadnât wanted to burden her. After an extensive search in Onaland had failed to find Dalores, he had decided to call Eileen.
