Chapter 947:
With that, she turned on her heel and walked away with Bryan.
Conroy tried to follow Eileen, but a single glance from Bryan made him stop in his tracks.
Eileenâs legs felt a bit wobbly, and her walk was slightly off. She tried hard to appear casual and confident. Then, she leaned in and whispered to Bryan, âCould you please stick to just one position when weâre having sex in the future?â
She had spent the entire night in various positionsâkneeling, bending over, and wrapping her legs around him. Her legs were still sore now.
Bryan pulled Eileen close, his arm wrapped around her waist as they walked. He raised an eyebrow, looking at her with a serious expression.
âEileen, trust me on this. Sticking to one position is going to wear you out even more,â Bryan said.
Eileen was speechless.
Bryan looked so earnest, as if he were offering her the best deal possible, like a businessman making a serious proposal. The night wind blew Eileenâs long hair across her face, tickling the back of her ears. She looked at him and said, âAnything or anyone will get worn out if you use it too much.â
She was essentially saying that too much sex was bad for her. Bryan chuckled, his hand tightening around her waist playfully. His fingertips brushed against her skin, making her ears burn.
Bryan believed she had a point.
Conroy watched them walk away together, not daring to speak. Gianna was fuming, but she couldnât vent her anger.
gα â Î·Ï Î½ð® ðsâ¤com has it all Eventually, she kicked Conroy and snapped, âWhat the hell did you say to the Byrd family? Why did they give that stuff to Eileen and Bryan?â
âHow the hell should I know? Kamila introduced me to them. They were supposed to be on our side! Why did they screw us over like this?â Conroy was just as angry and confused.
He had been in the business world for years; he knew how to make deals. But dealing with these high-society families? That was different. He didnât understand the intricacies of it all.
Gianna had picked up a few things from Leyla about dealing with these families. She thought for a moment and then asked Conroy, âWhen you went to the Byrd family, did they make you go through the process before giving you the project?â
âYes,â Conroy nodded.
Gianna shot him another exasperated glare.
âIdiot! If the Byrd family and the Aston family were so close, Kamila wouldnât have needed to set anything up for you. They would have already made the deal. But Kamila had to introduce you to the Byrd family, which means the Byrd family owed her a favor. And itâs not a big enough favor to risk pissing off Bryan!â
Had Conroy thought of this, he wouldnât have blabbed everything to the Byrd family like an idiot. He could have just talked to Miguel about the construction project on behalf of VQ Group, and Eileen wouldnât have had a shred of evidence!
Even if Eileen suspected something fishy, she would have had nothing to prove it.
âWhy didnât you tell me this?â Conroy whined.
