Chapter 958:
âAre you sure you know how to do it?â Bryan asked.
âIf I donât, I can pick it up pretty quickly. How about you lead the horse around for a bit so that I can get used to it, and Iâll try riding on my own?â Eileen suggested tentatively.
There were people all around them, and before she had fully processed it, Bryan had already climbed onto the horse behind her.
She noticed that most of the people around them were riding solo, and it left her feeling a little out of place.
âWhen have you ever seen someone riding a horse all by themselves?â Bryan asked.
Eileen paused as another solo rider galloped past them on a horse.
âIf he had a partner with him, do you think heâd be riding alone? No way,â Bryan said firmly.
Suddenly, he felt a pinch at his waistâit was Eileen pinching him. However, the belt of his riding outfit made it hard for her to get a firm hold.
Bryan chuckled and said, âSave the pinching for later when weâre in bed. For now, just enjoy the ride.â
Eileen immediately let go of him.
The ride around the field didnât take longâabout ten minutes or so. The saddle was hard, and by the end of the ride, Eileenâs hips and thighs were feeling sore. Bryan helped her off the horse, and she hobbled over, noticing Gabriela with a lollipop in her mouth, her eyes still glistening with tears.
âWhat happened?â Eileen asked, momentarily forgetting her discomfort as she quickened her pace to reach her daughter.
More to discover gαâηÏνeâsâ¤cøm As soon as Gabriela saw Eileen, her tears started flowing again, though she seemed too overwhelmed to put her feelings into words. Before Bryan could reach them, Raymond quickly explained to Eileen, âShe noticed Mr. Dawson riding the same horse as you. She began to pout, and when he started fixing your hair, she got teary-eyed.â
Raymond added a bit of flair to the story, making it quite obvious that when Bryan spent time with Eileen, Gabriela would start to feel upset.
âSweetheart, donât cry. Daddyâs getting the stable to switch to a gentler horse just so that he can take you for a ride,â Eileen comforted Gabriela before turning to Raymond.
âYou know, you should pick out a horse and go for a ride too. Youâre already here, after all.â
Raymond quickly responded, âAbsolutely! Iâll join Mr. Dawson. That way, I can help keep an eye on Gabriela while we ride.â
With that said, he headed off to select a horse for himself.
Raymondâs little bit of stirring the pot actually worked. When Bryan returned with a gentler horse, he spent quite a while soothing Gabriela until she finally calmed down and agreed to get on the horse with him.
Eileen watched them as they rode together. Bryan kept Gabriela safely tucked under his arm, protecting her small frame, and Eileen couldnât help but smile.
Just then, someone appeared next to Eileen and said, âHello.â
âHello.â Eileen turned to look at the woman sitting next to her.
