Tutankhamun
3 weeks later Ankhesenamun and I were walking from a meeting with Nakhtim telling him of the baby âWhen do you plan to go on your hunt?âshe asked
âAfter the baby is bornâ
âAre you sure?â
âYes, I think that it will somehow help with the babyâ
âOh my dearest baby brotherâ
âIâm not a baby anymoreâ I grunted and she smiled
âI know we both left our childhoods ten years agoâ she said. We walked in silence for a little while till Ankhesenamun said âIâm glad that you and Alexandria are togetherâ
âAre you now, I thought that wouldâve been jealous of Alexandriaâ
âOf course not, sheâs my best friend, and besides, sheâs helped with my last 2 births, and I trust her with this oneâ
âWell, Iâm glad that we both trust herâ I smiled as we entered the dining hall for a quick snack. A while later a messenger came in âYes?â I asked as I looked up from the honey cake that I was munching on
âAbasi seeks an audience with you my lordâ
âWhere does he want to speak with me?â
âRight here and nowâ
âThank you, you can let Abasi inâ I replied as I stood and the messenger bowed. When Abasi entered he bowed
âMy lord, I must tell you somethingâ he said
âLet me guess, another prophecyâ I asked
âYes, itâs for your hunt my lordâ I thought back to when Alexandria had told me about my death on the hunt, I guess that this what Abasi going to tell me
âLet me guess Iâm going to die?â I asked nervously
âYes my lord, howâd you find out? Wait, when Alexandria told you that when you were 19 you were going to die, did she say how?â
âYes, she said that I was going to die in a chariot accidentâ I said as I sat down, suddenly feeling weak.
âAbasi, look at what youâve done to my brotherâ Ankhesenamun said as she took my hand in hers
âDonât worry my lady; Iâm positive that Alexandria will save himâ
âHow do you know that?â I asked
âWell, she will try to prevent you from goingâ Abasi replied.
Tutankhamun
Three months later I was studying one of the various scrolls that Tutankhamunâs old teacher had given me. It was a story about Hatshepsut and how she started trading with other countries by using boats for the first time, when I heard footsteps trying to be silent on the tile floor; I smiled to myself âYou know itâs harder to sneak up on someone with these floors then in the gardensâ I called out, not looking up when I heard a groan, then a small curse, it was Tutankhamun. âNow why in the name of Amun are you trying to sneak up on me?â I asked as I finally looked up and watched as he walked over and sat next to me underneath the palm tree that I was sitting under
âJust wanted to sit with youâ
âAnything else my loveâ I asked
âWell I also wanted to do thisâ Tutankhamun said as he leaned over and kissed me
âYouâre the sweetest man that Iâve ever metâ I sighed when he released me, and he smiled as he kissed me again, but more passionately and making me groan with pleasure.
âExcuse meâ Tutankhamun and I immediately stopped kissing and looked up and saw my dad looming over us âYou know, if you were a boy in our time, I would be furious for kissing my daughter like that while she was trying to studyâ
âIâm sorry sirâ Tutankhamun blushed and my dad laughed
âNo need to be, you are Pharaoh and you can do what you wish. Iâm just a little surprised of how much youâre acting like a teenager from my timeâ he chuckled as Tutankhamun looked up at him blankly
âSir, did Alexandria ever have a lover before she came here?â he asked
âNo, you are the first man thatâs been this close to her; sheâs had boys that were friends, but nothing moreâ
âWell maybe because they were afraid that you would interrupt them while they were kissing meâ I said as I looked down at my papyrus
âOh so now Iâm an interruption?â my dad teased and I blushed
âWell I have to check on your mother, I think she neededâ my dad said as he finally left and I sighed as I started studying again.
âWhat was that for?â Tutankhamun asked as he too looked down at the papyrus
âItâs nothingâ I said as I read on
âAlexandriaâ he said sternly
âYes?â I asked as I looked up at him
âYou know how much I hate it when you lieâ
âAnd you know that I rarely lie to youâ I smiled at him
âAlexandria, please tell me whatâs on your mindâ
âOkay, well a few months ago Abasi told me what heâd told you about your hunting tripâ
âI see, why canât you just bring Ankhesenamun, the children and I to the future to your time with you?â
âYou know I canâtâ
âAnd why is that?â
âBecause you might get hurt in my time, and your mind would become confused with how different everything is, and I want your mind to remain as it isâ he stared at me for a few minutes and I only looked away when I heard the twins start crying. When I sat back down again I had the twins in my arms
âTheyâre getting bigâ Tutankhamun said as he took Thutmose in his arms
âYes they areâ
âIâm sure they would love it if their father watched them grow to become fine young adultsâ I looked away from his dark gaze and didnât reply âAlexandria, please take us to your time, Iâm sure that Ankhesenamun and I can deal with whatever changes that lie there, it happened when our father diedâ he said as I finally looked up
âButâ
âPlease not buts, and besides, I want to see your homeâ he said as he leaned over and kissed me
âMaybe just for a little while, it wonât be that longâ I sighed when he released me
âThank you my loveâ he whispered and kissed me again.
Ankhesenamun
I was sitting on a lawn chair by my favorite pool when Tutankhamun and Alexandria told me about the journey to the future âAre you sure this will work, especially with the baby?â I asked
âWeâll have to talk about that with Abasi, but I think that it might workâ Alexandria replied as we watched the twins crawl around on the ground gurgling to each other
âWell I think that itâs a good ideaâ I said as I leaned back and putting my hand on my slightly raised stomach
âWhen will we leave?â Tutankhamun asked
âAs soon as we talk with to Abasi and my parentsâ
âTalk to us about what?â Alexandriaâs father asked as he walked in with her mother and Abasi following right behind
âWe were thinking that we could bring Tutankhamun, Ankhesenamun and the twins to the present time for a visitâ Alexandria replied
âHave you three talked about this?â Alexandriaâs father asked
âYes we haveâ Tutankhamun replied.
âAnd we really want to see your time, and see how everythingâs changedâ I said happily
âI think that itâs a good idea that they see the futureâ Alexandriaâs mother said
âOkay then, we leave in the morningâ Abasi said.
Tutankhamun
The following morning Alexandria, Ankhesenamun, the twins and I silently got up, got ready and had breakfast before dawn broke. When we reached Abasiâs chambers we saw that Alexandriaâs family and Abasi were also ready âYou guys ready?â he whispered
âYes we areâ I whispered back
âAll right everyone, hereâs what we need to do, and donât worry my lord I left a note saying that we went to the Step Pyramid and to have no one follow us. So everyone, link hands and clear your minds and no matter what, donât let goâ Abasi whispered loudly. A few minutes passed, and I saw the sun beginning to rise, so I fully cleared my mind of all thoughts, and almost immediately it went pitch black, and I felt a gust of wind, then it felt like I was falling. When it felt like I was on solid ground, there was a bright flash âWeâre almost thereâ Abasi said as another bright flash came and went before my eyes. When everything cleared we were in a very large room
âWell I never thought that I'd see this place againâ Alexandria sighed as she sat on a large pillow
âWhat is this place?â I asked as I curiously walked around
âThis is a modern day houseâ Abasi said. I looked over and saw that he looked different from earlier, he seemed paler, and his hair and eyes were their normal shades, but his hair was shorter.
âTutankhamun come over hereâ Ankhesenamun called from where she and Alexandria sat on the giant pillows
âYeahâ I asked as I walked over
âWatchâ she giggled, she was holding a little black thing covered in little raised bumps
âWhat's that?â I asked
âIt's called a remote controlâ Alexandria replied
âWhat does it do?â
âWatchâ I watched as Ankhesenamun pressed one of the little raised bumps on the 'remote control' and there was a loud noise and moving pictures on a large window thing a little ways from the giant pillows.
âWhat is that thing?â I called over the noise and plugging my ears from the noise
âIt's called a televisionâ Alexandria laughed as Ankhesenamun handed over the remote control, and she turned it off âWant a tour of the house/' she asked as she rose
âWe'd love oneâ Ankhesenamun and I said in unison. So she gave us a quick tour of the house, and when we were done, Alexandria turned to us
âDo you two want to see the backyard?â she asked
âSureâ I smiled. Just as we exited the guest room, that would be turned into the nursery room, there was a loud ringing noise that echoed throughout the house
âWhat in the name of Amun was that?â I asked as Ankhesenamun and I covered our ears
âThat's the doorbellâ
âThe what?â
âIt's how we know that someone's at the doorâ Alexandria smiled as we walked back downstairs.
Ankhesenamun
âStay hereâ Alexandria said as she put Tutankhamun and I on the large pillows, and we watched as she walked to the door and opened it, and in walked a tall, lean young man, probably around Alexandria's age, and he looked a lot like her,
âAlex, how are you doing?â the man asked as he lifted Alexandria
âWonderful Zack, how are you doing?â she asked as she hugged him, I looked over at Tutankhamun and saw a hint of jealousy in his eyes
âGood, I heard that you got your time traveling gift inâ Zack said
âYes I did, hey I want to introduce you to a fewâ Alexandria said as she pulled the strange man over to the large pillows âZack, this is Queen Ankhesenamun and Pharaoh Tutankhamunâ
âMy lord and lady, it's a pleasure to meet you bothâ he bowed
âAnkhesenamun, Tutankhamun, this is my cousin Zackâ Alexandria said
âIt's a pleasure to meet you as wellâ Tutankhamun muttered
âYes it's very wonderful to finally meet Alexandria's cousinâ
âNow Zack, I must introduce you to the twinsâ Alexandria said as she rushed to where the twins were sitting. A few hours later Alexandria and Zack were teaching Tutankhamun how to play a new game called 'baseball'
âSo all I have to do is hit the ball with this bat?â Tutankhamun asked Alexandria, who laughed
âYes, and we'll see how far you hit itâ she smiled as she taught him where, and how to stand.
