Chapter 18: The End The Black Lands, Egypt 1323 BC

Alexandria

“When should we strike my lord?” I asked, we were out in the desert, in our chariots. On our flanks were the hunters that had joined us on the minor hunt, and in front of us was a young male lion, we'd given it a carcass so that it would come to us,

“Soon my love, soon” Tutankhamun smiled. After a few minutes of silently watching the lion eat, I was starting to get impatient. Just then Tutankhamun jolted forward, and raced towards the lion now surprised lion, who'd looked up from his meal, then started running away,

“Tutankhamun stop” I screamed as I raced after him. When I'd managed to race up next to him, he turned his head to look at me and smiled “Tutankhamun, please stop” I screamed over the wind, but he only laughed as he returned his gaze back to the lion. Suddenly his chariot jolted and his wheel started breaking, and when he tried to take control of the horses and chariot, it ended up turning on it's side and he was flung out of the basket like a rag doll “Tutankhamun” I screamed as I turned my chariot and raced to his motionless body. When I'd reached him, I got off my chariot and raced over to him and knelt by his side, I looked down at his legs and just as I suspected, his lefty knee was bleeding onto the desert sand, so I ripped off a piece of my sleeve off of my dress and wrapped it around his wounded leg. Once that was finished I gently lifted it from the pool of blood that it had created. “Tutankhamun, are you okay?” I asked as I carefully turned him around

“Alexandria”

“Yes”

“Is this how I'm going to die?”

“Not unless I save you” I said as I grabbed his hand.

Tutankhamun

When we finally returned to camp, I was starting to have a serious migraine, and my left leg was killing me. When I was laying in my tent waiting fro the camp to be torn down, Pentu was was cleaning my leg as best as he could. Abasi had gone to his own time to get some medicine and things that would help me to recover, while Alexandria on the other hand was sitting on the bed with my head on her lap, and was wiping my head with a damp piece of linen on my forehead.

“Alexandria” I moaned

“Yes” she choked, I knew that she'd been crying since we got back to camp,

“Where are we going after the camp is torn down?”

“The step Pyramid, and I sent for more physicians till Abasi gets back”

“Good” I smiled weakly. When we arrived at the temple near the Step Pyramid, Ankhesenamun, Ron and the children were waiting for us b the river’s edge. I watched as Alexandria ran over to them and they started talking. I suddenly felt my cot jolt up and started moving, I shifted my head and saw that two people were carrying me. When Ankhesenamun and Ron saw me they gave out a gasp of horror and rushed over saying that everything was going to be okay.

Ankhesenamun

When we were inside of the temple, and Tutankhamun was laying down in his bed Alexandria, Ron and I sat by his side “Please don't worry about me” Tutankhamun groaned

“But we will worry about you till Abasi returns to heal your leg” I said as I held onto his right hand, and Alexandria held onto his right. When Abasi finally did return, he gave Tutankhamun some pain medication , then kicked us out of the room so that he could work on our husband.

A few days later Abasi and Pentu came out and told is that Tutankhamun wanted to see us, so we nodded and followed them into the room. Once we were inside Tutankhamun's bedchamber, Alexandria and I took in his state of being. Tutankhamun was sitting up, and his right leg was tightly bandaged and was resting on a pillow. He seemed to be a little tired, but still held his natural tan complexion “Hey you two pretty birds” he smiled as he walked over, and right before I could say anything he continued by saying something that we'd been hoping to hear “Abasi said that I have a stronger chance of living” which made Alexandria and I gasp

“Oh Tutankhamun, we're so happy” I sobbed as we hugged him

“Careful my loves, I'm still hurt” he laughed as he hugged us back

“Sorry, we got excited” Alexandria giggled as we got off him. As the following few hours passed, we talked of what life would be like in the future with the rest of Alexandria's family and the children “I love you two so much, I hope that you guys know that” Tutankhamun said once all had gone quiet

“Yes we do, and I hope that you know that we love you a lot more” I sighed as I put my head on his shoulder

“Agreed, and don't say that it isn't possible, because it is” Alexandria said as she too put her head on his slim shoulder.

“My ladies, I want to tell you something”

“Anything my love” Alexandria said

“I have the best little family ever” he said as he pulled us close.

Alexandria

Later that night, while Ankhesenamun and I snuggled up against our wounded husband I was thinking of how I was going to get my husband and best friend to my time safely, and how to fake our deaths, “Alexandria” I heard Tutankhamun whisper

“Yes my love”

“Tell me something interesting about your home” he asked

“Okay, well remember when I'd first arrived and I was telling you and Ankhesenamun about my life before I came to Egypt?”

“Yes, what about it?”

“Well I forgot to mention that I have an older sister named Sarah. She looks a lot like my mother”

“Really, that's really interesting, I hope to meet her someday” he smiled

“I hope so too, I think that she'll really like you and Ankhesenamun. But I also think that she might also yell at you for taking two wives” I laughed, and I heard Tutankhamun give out a small laugh.

“Actually, I want to talk to you about that” he said

“About what?”

“Ankhesenamun and I talked with Abasi while you were taking care of the children, and he told me that men in your time usually only have one wife, so Ankhesenamun said that it would be better if she found another man”

“Are you guys sure that you want to do that?” I asked and he nodded.

“And Abasi sent a letter to Thebes saying that I was dead”

“But what about your body?”

“Abasi is taking care of it, and he's all ready taken Ron back to your time”

“Do you know when we leave?” I asked

“In 70 days, when Abasi has made sure that Ankhesenamun that looks like her in the palace”

“And what of the twins and I?”

“Abasi said in his letter that you'd committed suicide after I died and taking the twins with you. and he had bodies prepared in Thebes. Now no more worrying my love and go to sleep” he said as I lied down and feel fast asleep in his arms. 70 days later, after Ankhesenamun had led both mine and Tutankhamun's funerals, she joined us at our cliff. The twins and Kiya had all ready gone to the future, so we could spend some time alone for a few more weeks, till we too went to the future.

Ankhesenamun

Once I'd gotten settled into the little camp that Tutankhamun, Alexandria and I had made, my best friend came over with my brother “Hey Ankhesenamun” she said

“Yeah” I said as I looked over at her

“Tutankhamun and I want to tell you something”

“And what's that?”

“I'm pregnant again”

“You are, that's wonderful” I said as we hugged. Early the following morning Alexandria and I were watching the sunrise together while Tutankhamun slept in

“I remember when Tutankhamun brought me up here for the first time” Alexandria sighed as she leaned back

“Really, I've always wondered what happened to you two when you came up here”

“Well, we watched the sunrise, Tutankhamun slapped a snake that scared me, and he kissed me” she sighed as she smiled at the memory

“He kissed you” I asked surprised

“Yeah, and I actually let him do it too”

“Did he kiss you any other times then in his office?”

“Nope”

“How did it feel?” I asked

“Wonderful, he was so gentle, and he apologized afterwords too”

“He apologized, oh that silly man” I smiled. So for the rest of the day Alexandria, Tutankhamun and I talked on and on about the life that we'd shared in Egypt, and of the life before Alexandria arrived.

3 weeks later, Mark returned to pick us up and take us to the present “Are you ready?” I asked and they nodded happily,

“All right you three, it's time to go” Mark said as he came over with my dad

“We're ready to go” I smiled as my dad instructed Tutankhamun on what to do, while making sure that his leg was properly secured, since his leg was still in recovery.

“All right, lets go before someone finds us” my dad said as my Eye of Horus ring started tingling, indicating that it was time to go to the present time

“Okay Jack, do you have Tutankhamun?” Mark asked and my dad nodded “All right everyone, take each others hands” he said and we did

“See you two in the future?” Tutankhamun asked

“See you in the future” I smiled as everything went black, and I felt a gust of wind hit my face. Then it felt like I was floating, once I'd touched solid ground there was a flash, another gust of wind followed by another flash. Before I knew it I was standing in the living room in Cairo, Egypt with Ankhesenamun and Tutankhamun standing next to me.

“Welcome home you three” Mark said as my dad helped Tutankhamun get to the couch

“Where are the twins?” I asked

“Right here” my mom said as she walked into the room carrying Tiye and Thutmose

“Thanks mom, now everyone, I would like to tell you something” I said as I took the twins

“And what's that?” my dad asked

“Tutankhamun and I are expecting another baby” I said as I sat next to Tutankhamun.

“Congratulations” my mom said as she and my dad hugged Tutankhamun and I.
