Diehauser guided me to the second floor of his mansion. Sairaorg left us while saying he had something to do in his house though, so it was just the two of us. While we were walking there, we were chatting a little bit.
âHowever, how did you know that Cleria is still alive?â Asked Diehauser.
âHmm? About that, it was a bit complicated story.â I said to him as I crossed my arms. Usually, I crossed my arms underneath my Kimono. But, because I wore Kuohâs uniform today, I couldnât do that.
âI donât mind, to be honest, I am really interested in your story. I heard about you for the first time when you killed Kokabiel and decimated his army of thousands with just a few hundred Youkai. You are amazing, maybe you have surpassed your father in his youth.â
My old man in his youth. I was interested in that. I meant, he was strong, especially in his youth. Age has made his blade dull, not only that, he had been pampered by peace.
âWell, I have no story to be told except that one tho. To be fair, I only destroyed a big army and one small faction. So my story is limited.â
âOh? You destroyed one small faction, how could I never heard of that?â Asked Diehauser with curiosity written clearly on his face.
âSirzechs and Serafall limited the news. Because it happened in the underworld. I destroyed one of the factions that affiliated with Khaos Brigade, named Hero Faction.â
âHero Faction? You destroyed them?â Exclaimed Diehauser with a surprised tone.
âYeah, you know them?â I asked Diehauser.
âOf course, I know about them. I was hunting them at some point, but Cao Caoâs Sacred Gear is too strong, especially against a devil such as me. Donât tell me, you kill Cao Cao too?â
âYeah. Of course. I destroyed them completely. So, the True Longinus also found its new wielder. Itâs a bit surprising because I thought that the spear at least wonât appear for the next decades. However, Michael told me that the spear has found its new wielder already. By the way, donât tell anyone about this information, at least until the peace conference, okay?â
âHmm? I donât mind. But at least, can I share this information with Sirzechs or Serafall? Knowing that they knew the death of Cao Cao.â
I smirked at Dihauser as we stepped on the second floor, âYou can decide that yourself. So, where is Cleria?â
Although I knew her position already, I decided to ask him, trying to be polite in his mansion. Not my style, but it couldnât be helped. I was an uninvited guest after all, and I did know a manner.
âThis way. Cleria is still a bit cautious against a stranger, but I think that she will be fine if you are the one who visited her.â
Hmm? She would be fine if I visited her? I never had any relation with her though.
âWhy?â I asked Diehauser. âI never met her before, and I just acquainted with Masaomi for a while now. Why are you so sure that she will be fine even if she meet me?â
Although I was her loverâs superior, I was a stranger to her. There was no way she would be fine with me, right? He even said that Cleria was cautious against a stranger.
âWell, how do I say it, you seem to be a likable individual. Not only that, somehow I feel like I can trust you easily.â
Again, someone who said that they could trust me when they only met me once.
Why did they always say that to me? Was I that trustworthy? Because I, myself, never thought that I was a trustworthy individual. I did what I wanted to do. So I couldnât understand their thought.
âWhatever. In short, Cleria might be agreeing to meet me, right?â
âYeah, that might be the case. Well, follow me. I wanted to tell her the good news that her loved one is alive, so she could recover. I was always regretting when Cleria cried at that time, so I am glad that heâs still alive.â
Diehauser then walked again, I followed him quietly as I scanned the mansion. This was extravagant, the ceiling was so high. Compared to my Japanese Mansion, this mansion was shinier.
However, in terms of size, I could boast that my mansion was bigger than this mansion. Someone said that a mansion was proof of someoneâs power, and I agree with that. The bigger the mansion, the stronger the one who lives there.
After walking for a while, we stopped in front of a door. Behind this door, I felt the True Longinus and the energy that was similar to Diehauser. As expected, that energy was Cleriaâs.
âSheâs here. I will enter first. Can you follow me from behind?â
âYeah, sure, no problem.â I nodded my head to Diehauser.
He nodded back, and then he knocked on the door three times.
Knock, Knock, Knock
âCleria, itâs me.â He said.
A girl's voice then answered from beyond the door.
âYes, please wait a second.â After she said that, footsteps followed suit.
A second later, the door was opened and a girl with long gray hair and gray eyes. She looked at Diehauser with a smile, then he noticed me who stood behind Diehauser. Her eyes widened a little, but she looked back at Diehauser.
âMay I ask something, Diehauser?â Asked the girl, Cleria Belial.
âYes, anything.â Answered Diehauser with a sweet smile.
So the Belial house did treasure their family. I heard from the rumors that Belial was the house that treasured their family the most, so it was true.
It was our first meeting, but Cleriaâs reaction was strange.
âThe gentleman who is standing behind you, heâs not Nurarihyon, right? Because I remember that guy is not this⦠polite? This gentleman is more, reserved with his conduct.â
And I shouldâve known this from the start. Fucking old man, what did he do in Belial's house?
âNo, heâs Nurarihyonâs son. His name is Nura Riku, and he has good news for you.â Diehauser stepped to the side and pointed at me with his hand as he introduced me.
âNurarihyonâs son, is it? Heâs as handsome as his father. Truly a sinful race, Nurarihyon. Fufufu.â Said Cleria as she giggled. âAh, forgive me. Nura Riku, was it?â
âIndeed, my name is Nura Riku.â I said to Cleria as I nodded my head. âAnd I am here to see you and your son.â
âHmm? How did you know about Yae?â Asked Cleria as she squinted her eyes. Diehauser was only looking at us from the side, as he knew that I wanted to tell Cleria that Masaomi was still alive.
Howeverâ¦
âShe named his son Yae? Pfft!â
I laughed when I heard the name of her son. Cleriaâs face contorted into a frown as she asked again, âWas there something funny?â
âAh ah, sorry about that. Just, I never thought that you would give your son that name. He will be troubled when he heard that. Damn, that guy was lucky to get a girl like you.â I said as I wiped the tears that built up in the edge of my eyes because I was laughing too hard.
âHe?â Cleriaâs eyes widened a little, âWhat do you know about my loved one?â Asked Cleria with a cold tone.
âChill, Cleria. Well, what do I know about Masaomi Yaegaki? Well, heâs living in my mansion right now, serving me as part of my Hyakki Yakkou. Is that answer satisfying?â
âEh?â Cleria let out a surprised voice, âHeâs alive?â
âYup, alive and kicking. I saved him when I met him. Are you happy?â I asked her.
Tears flowed out of her eyes. She then covered her face with her hands and sobbed, âY-yes⦠Y-Yaegaki is alive⦠I-Iâm glad.â
Diehauser approached her and hugged her to comfort his cousin.
After a while, she managed to contain her tears. She released her hug and then smiled at me.
âThank youâ¦â She wiped the tears on her face and said again, âThank you very much.â
