Ray turned the car around and stopped in front of Yvette. “Get in.”

She got in the vehicle without any hesitation. “I’ll be in your care from now on.”

After seeing Ray for the first time a few days ago, Xavier had sent someone to investigate him. He had learned that Ray was previously Claude’s personal bodyguard and had then had started protecting Yvette.

The whole article stated how Xavier and Shannon had never cared for Yvette after her marriage. Instead, she had treated harshly. Then, she had fallen sick and had to fake her death to leave the country.

“Yvvy, please drop the lawsuit. If you’re willing to do that, I’ll never interfere with your life anymore. I’ll even accept you.”

Yvette was shocked by the sudden change in Shannon’s attitude, and she pulled her hand back. “I’m sorry. I’m not dropping the lawsuit.”

Then, she stood up and was prepared to leave.

Seeing how determined she was, Shannon clenched her fists and said, “Yvette, Xavier worked hard to build Lane Group from scratch. You can get your divorce, but there’s no way you’re getting the company Yvette finally understood why Shannon was acting so differently that day.
