Chapter 350
The car slowed down to a stop at the entrance of Seasons Hotel.
Sitting in the car, Kiki stared at the inside of the hotel. Emotions swirled in her. Forcing herself to calm down, she alighted from the car with Zachary. Yvette got out of the car too.
Zachary looked at his watch. It was almost time, but the man wasnât here yet!
Did he not want to earn money? What a bad service! If Zachary could leave feedback somewhere about the man, he would surely give the man zero stars!
On the other hand, Kiki hadnât taken his words seriously. After all, how could a kid find her a plusâone who was better than Leonard?
She looked over her shoulder at Yvette. âYvvy, Iâm so nervous.â
Yvette stepped forward to hold her hand. âRelax. Iâm here with you.â
All these years, Kiki hadnât gotten into a new relationship because of Leonardânot that she hadnât had any suitors; she had turned all of them down.
Back when she had just returned to the country, the first thing she had done was look for Leonard. But when she had found him, he had already had a girlfriend.
Now, they were going to tie the knot, and Leonard had even invited Kiki to the wedding!
There were other ways to make Kiki get over him; he couldâve done better.
With Yvetteâs words of assurance, Kiki finally took another stride, heading into the hotel.
They reached the lobby, and Kiki saw the wedding photo. The bride, Camila Alba, looked beautiful in white as she stood next to Leonard.
Yvette saw it too, only to be surprised that Camila looked similar to Kiki.
âSheâs pretty,â Kiki muttered.
It broke Yvetteâs heart to hear that. âYouâre prettier.â
Zachary held Kikiâs hand. âYes, Mom. Youâre prettier.â
The word âMomâ pulled Kikiâs soul back to her body. Alternating her gaze from left to

right at the two, she let out a genuine smile. Alright. I get that. Letâs go inside.â
As Yvette and Zachary each held one of her hands, she thought, âSo what if I donât have a man? I have Yvvy and Zach with me.
On their way into the hall, they bumped into Leonard, who was welcoming the guests by the door. His parents were there, too.
His eyes lost focus for a moment when he saw Kiki, but he managed to school his expression into a cold one immediately. âYouâre here.â
âYeah.â She nodded in acknowledgment. âI bought a fridge as a gift. It will arrive soon. I hope you like it.â
Leonard didnât reply to that. Instead, his eyes were fixated on Zachary, who was holding Kikiâs hand. Just as he was going to ask something, his parents approached them.
âOh, Kiki, what brings you here?â Leonardâs mother, Olivia Brown, was worried that Kiki would ruin the wedding. She knew how much Kiki loved Leonard.
âItâs Leoâs wedding today. Donât you think itâs already too late for you to win his heart back? Thanks for the gift, though.â Olivia explicitly drew the line. But of course, she gladly accepted the gift from Kiki.
Kikiâs tone was cold as she replied, âLeonard invited me over. Did you not know?â
Olivia gulped. She hadnât been aware of that. She flashed a smile and lowered her voice. âKiki, we adore you. I told Leo about this many times, but heâs stubborn as a bull. He insisted on marrying Camila. Still, you can keep in touch with him after this.â Kiki was baffled upon hearing that. What was Olivia trying to say?
Before Kiki could digest it, Yvette stepped forward. âAre you finding a mistress for your son?â
Oliviaâs eyes widened. âHow could you put it in such a repulsive way? Men can have female friends too.â She failed to notice the hint of anger in Yvetteâs expression.
