“Gemma had only one daughter. She treated Zoey well and gave her everything she wanted.”

Since there was no additional information, Yvette didn’t ask further either. The image of Zoey dancing, bearing a resemblance to Yara, sparked a thought in her mind.

After hanging up the phone, she leaned back in her chair to rest.

Mandy shook her head. “When you mentioned wanting to collaborate with Ms. Cameron, I gave the other entertainment companies a heads–up. No one would dare to compete with us.”

Back in Sangine County, Yvette visited Noah before heading home. Since Xavier hadn’t returned yet, she

spent some time talking with Viola.

“Is Yvette’s other son here?”

“Yes. The two children look alike, but Noah is more sickly. He’s been in and out of the hospital for a long time,” Mark replied.

“Leukemia, if I’m not mistaken.” Mark had found this out before, which was why a medical team had accompanied Noah when he was brought back to Tirion.

His head started to throb for some reason. He forced himself not to dwell on it.

When Yvette heard the door open downstairs, she came down from the second floor and saw that Xavier had returned. She asked, “Why are you back so late?”

“I worked overtime.” Xavier wasn’t exactly lying; he had indeed been busy with the preparations for the

new company.

After answering, he approached Yvette and asked, “Yvvy, is the baby you’re carrying really not mine?”

With the fragmented memories he’d recently recovered, he remembered that they’d been intimate more

than once.

Yvette started to panic upon hearing his sudden question. “Of course it’s not.”
