When they were done washing their hands, Noah pretended to be nice as he took Xavier bac.. to the dining table. The latter looked

upset.

“Mister, now that you can’t see a thing, do you fall a lot?” Noah continued asking.

“No.”

“But aren’t you blind?” He kept up the innocent act.

Xavier was speechless. However, he had no choice but to answer patiently, “I’ve memorized the paths. That’s why I won’t fall that easily.”

“I see.”

“That’s enough. Let’s dig in now and talk later,” said Yvette.

That was what Noah was like–he always had a lot to say.

When they were at the table, Noah spotted the plate of carrots right away. He would eat them, but he knew Zachary hated them. Since he was more like Yvette, he figured Zachary was like Xavier.

So, he picked up some carrots and placed them on Xavier’s plate. ” Mister, you should have more carrots. My teacher told me that they are good for our eyes.”

Zachary was surprised to see Noah messing with Xavier whenever the opportunity arose. So, he grabbed the opportunity immediately and helped add fuel to the fire. “Noah, you’re silly. He’s already blind now.”

Xavier was speechless when heard that.

“What? Do carrots not work on the blind?” Noah pretended to be confused.

The two children kept calling Xavier blind. It was exactly like how everyone had called Yvette deaf in front of Xavier back then. However, she still stopped them. “Noah, we shouldn’t say that. It’s rude.”

After all, Xavier was their father.

When Noah saw that Yvette was getting angry, he quickly started eating. He decided to continue messing with Xavier once she was

gone.

Although Xavier couldn’t see a thing, he knew the children had something evil planned. It was especially true when it came to Noah. He was doing everything on purpose.

Of course, Xavier wasn’t going to take them seriously. However, he wasn’t a man who would willingly admit defeat.

When they were done with dinner, Xavier asked Noah, “Noah, can you take me back to my room?”

Noah would like nothing more than that; he could mess with Xavier properly after taking the latter away.

“Sure.” Noah winked at Zachary before leading Xavier to the bedroom.

Upon entering the room, he started looking for a chair to mess with Xavier.

Before he could do anything, the door was closed behind him.

When he realized what was going on, Xavier had already lifted him up like a little chick.

“What are you doing, mister?” He kept up with the pretense.

Xavier didn’t care either way. “Do you know how I deal with naughty kids?”

He knew Noah was weak, so he wasn’t planning on getting physical. Instead, he decided to threaten Noah.

Noah couldn’t believe Xavier had done this. He immediately decided to tell Yvette about it later. “I’m a good kid, mister.”

Xavier smirked. “Is that so? Good kids would never lie.” After

saying that, he gently patted Noah on the butt.

Since Noah had been sick since he was born, people would seldom touch him, let alone slap his butt. He was infuriated instantly.

“Mom! Mom!”

Xavier didn’t stop him from yelling. Instead, he placed Noah down.

Yvette came to the room immediately. “What’s wrong, baby?”

Noah immediately told her what happened while crying. “Mr. Xavier hit me!”

“What?” She was instantly anxious, and she hurriedly approached him to check on his body. “Where did he hit you?”

Noah didn’t know what to say since he didn’t want to tell her Xavier had hit his butt. Also, Xavier had done it gently, so it hadn’t hurt at all. If Yvette checked his body, it would be too embarrassing for him.
