Zachary’s face turned even redder. He coughed and lowered his voice. “Mom, I’m not a little kid anymore. Kiki is still here.”

Because of his words, the atmosphere became lively again.

It was the first time Kiki had seen Zachary get embarrassed. She couldn’t help but tease him. “So, someone has been spanked before, huh?”

Zachary quickly protested. “No, I haven’t!” He finally looked like a child now.

As Yvette watched Zachary try to explain himself, her anger melted away completely. For her, Zachary and Noah were like precious gifts from heaven. It was impossible for her to stay mad at them.

Moreover, she had thought things through on the way here.

She could keep avoiding Xavier, but could Zachary and Noah do the same?

They had done nothing wrong, so why shouldn’t they go wherever they wanted? Why couldn’t they have a home to return to?

During the dinner, Kiki suggested having someone take Zachary back, but Yvette refused.

“Kiki, I’ve thought it over. Avoiding the problem isn’t the best solution. I’ve decided to let him stay. Xavier has already seen Zac and probably thinks he’s your son, so there’s nothing to worry about.

“I’ll talk to Viola later and have her take care of Noah back there. Zac will stay with me in Tirion. When things are more settled down, we’ll go back.”

Kiki agreed after hearing her suggestion.

“Even though Viola has help, it’s hard for an elderly woman to look after two kids. Since Zac is staying here, he can also keep you company. Even if Xavier finds out, there’s nothing to fear. You have me and Claude to back you up.”

Zachary chimed in, “And me too, Mom. I’ll protect you and Noah.”

Yvette and Kiki exchanged a knowing smile. “All right”

After finishing their dinner, Kiki said, “I’ll take Zac with me for now. Before you get pregnant, he’ll stay at my private residence. You can visit him there whenever you want.”

This seemed to be the only way for now.

Yvette reminded Zachary, “You must listen to Kiki and not wander off alone, understand?”

Zachary nodded. He was relieved that he wasn’t going to be sent back. Although he couldn’t live with Yvette, being in the same city as her made him feel reassured.
