Y/N'S POV-
This cell is even more dismal than the one i had before. I'm not talking about the interior- this cell could be fit for a king. I'm talking about the circumstances in which I am being trapped. Time usually goes so fast but it feels endless now I can count down the minutes until my inevitable death
Half of me never wants to see him again but the other half is praying with all my might that he turns up and tells me that it was all a mistake. Today has put me through even more pain that i have ever endured in war. Regardless It's kind of poetic that me and my mother are going to be dying in the same place as my father so many years later
I curl up in a chair in the corner- wrapped in a blanket they provided with my head stuck in a book- it's a good distraction. An hour passes until i hear the key in the door turn and watch as it creaks slowly open. Geta walks in and looks over at me, distressed. He is wearing a robe like he didn't even bother getting changed this morning
G- "Y/N?" I choose to ignore him and look back down at my book.
G- "You have every right to be upset but please answer me"
Y/N- "What do you want Geta? To say your goodbyes?" My comment must have hurt him but nevertheless he inches closer
G- "Is it true?? Are you the daughter of Emperor Commodus and Lady Lucilla?"
Y/N- "That's what people are telling me. Not exactly the truth is wanted" I put my book down to look at him
G- "Your father was a great leader. He was brave and Devoted-" he says trying to make me feel better "No wonder you are so beautiful"
I get up and walk over so I'm stood just before him
Y/N- "You lied to me..."
He hesitates but looks me in the eyes and admits "I did"
Y/N- "You sentenced me to my death" tears start forming in my eyes
G- "I did.."
Y/N- "You told me you loved me!"
G- "I do!!" He says sincerely
(CRIMSON PEAK REFERENCE! WATCH IT)
I give in and collide my body with his. He wraps his arms around me tightly and burries his head into my neck to whisper into my ear
G- "Please believe me Y/N.. I didn't make the choice of loving you. I just do so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you by my side" I finally relax and feel comfortable in his embrace
Y/N- "Please stay.. dont leave me again"
G- "I'm not going anywhere"
I take his hand and lead him over to the chair. I push him gently into it and climb on top of his lap, wrapping the blanket around us
Y/N- "What are we going to do?" I say running my hands down his chest
G- "Leave it to me.. dont worry"
Y/N- "Geta??"
G- "Yes? my love.."
Y/N- "Just promise me please that you will prioritise making sure my brother and Lucilla don't die. Promise me"
He sighs and kisses me on the head
G- "Okay.. i promise"
G- "Where is your ring?" He runs his hand over my fingers
Y/N- "Macrinus stole it from me.. he is trying to corrupt your brother, Geta. He is after power- i know he is"
G- "Caracalla is easily persuaded" I look up and notice how stressed he looks so I gently pull his head down to face me and plant my lips on his. It still feels as incredible as it did the first time. So much passion
Even if I am to die in that arena tomorrow, I feel more alive now than I ever have-
