âI donât know what happened Alpha, Anna only went to get some herbs for soup Why would anyone do something like this to my beautiful mateâ the husband of the deceased cried as he clutched on her dead b*dy I stared at them as my heart squeezed in hurt. The fact that we did not have any solution to the predicament was eating me up badly.
âI donât know why anyone would do this to you my loveâ¦.â he went on and on as he cried bitterly.
âYou should have some rest Alphaâ Jayden said as he walked over to me after making sure the man was taking away to get some rest.
âRest? How am I supposed to get some rest when I have failed in my duty as Alpha I swore to protect the inhabitants of this pack and so far I have failed in my duty to protect my peopleâ I said as my heart squezed in hurt.
âDonât be too hard on yourselfâ Jayden said and I looked away.
âI think it is high time we consult the services of Cephar the seerâ I said and Jayden stared at me with eyes wide open.
âYour father was the last Alpha to consult his services Xavier, sometimes knowing about the future worsten the situations of things Jayden said with concern.
âJust do as I have said Jayden, Increase the soldiers at the border and please regulate the movement in the packâ I said and walked towards my chambers tiredly.
Immediately I walked in my eyes met with Lina she had both hands folded against her chest and by her countenance it was evident that she was fully ready for a fight.
âWhen did you arrive Xavier? I have been waiting for you sinceâ Lina said and I sat down on the bed exhuastedely.
âThe last time I checked, I did not assign anyone to wait for meâ I said and her eyes flashed with hurt.
âDo you derive joy from hurting me Xavier? I refused to be treated like I do not matter for goodness sake I am your wifeâ she bursted out angrily.

âXavier !â she screamed at the top of her voice as I lay on the bed to get some sleep.
âAs much as you would love to continue this banter with me. I donât not I have the strength to continue this with youâ I said and heard her sniff back the tears that threatened to escape her eyes.
âXavier ⦠Xavier !â she called over and over again as she cried too tired to exchange words with her, I slept off quietly.
The next morning, I woke up and Lina was not on the bed neither is she in the room I guess she did not spend the night in our room considering the fact that we had a fight the previous night.
âGood morning sonâ Aunt said as I walked downstairs.
âGood morning Aunt, hope you slept well?â I asked and she sighed softly.
âI should be asking you that question considering the fact that you lost another werewolf in the pack yesterdayâ she said and I sighed softly.
Iâm hoping things get better aunt, deep down I am worriedâ I said and she pat me on the back.
âEverything will be okay sonâ she said and I give a nod.
I cannot wait for Cephar to grace us with his presence am hoping for a positive outcome. I was still on the breakfast table with my family when Jayden joined us, looked really disturbed and I noticed it the minute my eyes met him.

âHow did this get on the Internet?â I asked before I could stop myself.
Going on a date with Rachel Anderson and seeing it on the internet barely twenty four hours of the meeting was not the kind of news I expected to see this morning.
âDaddy is everything okay?â Derrick asked and I smiled in his direction.
âEverything is fine champ, How about I drop you off myself at your school this. morningâ I said trying to cover up the fact that I was really worried.
âYeah!â he clapped in excitement, after breakfast I got in my car and drove him to school myself.
Immediately we got to his school environment, he got down from the car and screamed someoneâs name happily.
âDamien !â he said as he ran towards a kid before I could raise my head to see who he was talking to, my phone rang in my pocket it was one of my investors.
âHello Mr Rayâ I said as I focused on the phone call.
Walking back to my car after the phone call, I noticed Derrick had gone inside without saying goodbye.
âStrangeâ I muttured under my breath as I looked away then back at the school building.

âYou said you wanted to drop Damien off at school today?â Penny asked curiously as I made my way into the house.
âWell that was the plan initially, but i had to leave the place immediately I saw Xavier I think he went to drop his son off at school tooâ I said and she gasped.
âI cant imagine the mess if he found out that you have a son this morningâ Penny said and I sighed.
âI am lucky none of that happenedâ I said and sat down calmly.
âHave you seen the news?â she asked as she showed me her phone..
I smirked as I scrolled through the different blogs that had carried the news.

âI donât even know you, not to talk of knowing who your husband is I will advice you to leave this place now before I call the security on youâ I said and she glared daggers at

âI donât want to see that woman anywhere close to me not even in this premisesâ I said. angrily and the head of security nodded his head immediately.
âYou mean lina showed up at the office? that is hugeâ Penny said as she poured some wine into a clean glass.
âDo I look like am joking to you? She even had the guts to warn me to stay away from Xavier, What does she think of me? a cheap wh ore who went around stealing other peopleâs mate! Iâm nothing like herâ I said in annoyance.
âYou should get some rest babe, you would be seeing a lot of that lately we still have at lot to doâ she said and I couldnât agree more.
âMummyâ Damian said as he ran into my arms excitedly.
âI wanted you to meet my friend today, but you left in a hurry mummyâ he said pouting cutely.
âI will meet him some other time champ I had to meet I said and he gave a nod.

He is just a kid and would not understand why I ran off in the last minute I will just try my best to meet this new friend of his so I can be in peace.
Damian ran out of the room and I stared at Penny who chuckled.
âWhat do you think Xavier was doing at Damianâs school today? do you think that is the school Derrick attendsâ Penny said and I froze.
Now that was making a whole lot of sense if that is the school Derrick attends, that means I have the chance of doing a DNA test to confirm my suspicion.
Even if he has a child with Lina, he or she is not supposed to be around the same age with Damian.
Derrick should be five years old just like my Damian, they are not identical twins. maybe if they were it would have made things easy
for me.
They are different, but my motherly instincts told me the minute I saw Derrick that he was mine and for some reason I believe he is
my son.
