? EMERALD POV?

“Good night mummy” Damien said as he k*ssed my cheeks and lay on the bed.

“Come join me and sleep on the bed with me mummy” he said and I stared at him calmly.

“I am very tired right now sweetheart, mummy had a long day and needs to rest” I said and he frowned.

“But I want to cuddle with my mummy” he said and I sighed softly as I got on the bed with him while trying to control the urge to go to my room and work.

I stared at my cute little boy as he snuggled closer to me a small smile formed on my l*ps as I thought of his cuteness and energy.

I made a me ntal note to ask Penny to check out who Damian’s new friend is in school, I found myself drifting into a sweet sleep.

“I love you mummy” I heard him mutter under his breath and I chuckled..

The next morning. I left the room before Damien woke up.

“Good morning Miss Anderson” his nanny greeted me as I walked passed her making my way to my room immediately I got in, my phone rang and I placed it on my ear.

“I will be at the conference room in 45 mins whoever comes in late should k*ss his or her job goodbye” I said as I made my way towards the bathroom.

“Yes miss Anderson” my personal assistant said nervously and I hang up the call.

I hate it when things are not done the way I expect them to be done, lazy and emotional people get me angry without even trying hard.

Those that always have an excuse pi ss me off the most I took a quick shower and changed into something professional. As I made my way downstairs my eyes met my son having breakfast and already dressed for school.

“When did you even wake up Damien ?” I asked and he grinned from ear to ear like someone who just won a lottery.

“I woke up immediately you left my bed mummy” he said with a soft chuckle.

“And here I am thinking the little guy was asleep” I muttered under my breath.

“Come have breakfast with me mummy, I have been waiting for you since I got here, right chef Mira?” he asked the chef who blinked twice in shock.

“Chef Mira, tell mummy I have been waiting for her since” he said and Mira stared at the floor nervously.

“Leave the chef alone Damian” I said and he frowned, he has this habit of making people do things his own way and if it is not done that way he picks an offense.

“But am saying the truth” he said pouting cutely.

“I know you are saying the truth little guy but mummy has a meeting to catch up with right now sweetheart” I said and eyes flashed with hurt.

“Does that mean you won’t be driving me to school?” he asked and I sighed in frustration.

“Damian don’t be a naughty boy, mama have to be at the office” I said and he got from the breakfast table.

“Champ!” I called as he went upstairs.

“Make sure he eats something before he goes to school and ask his driver to take him to school, I will fix this when I get back” I said and made my way out of the mansion.

Putting up with Damian can be exhausting sometimes.

“Good morning Miss Anderson” the driver said as he bowed to me in respect.

“Take me to the office” I said as I sat down on the passenger’s seat.

The ride to my office was a quiet one I got in and my personal assistant bowed in

respect.

“Good morning Miss Anderson” she said and began to read out my schedule as we walked towards the conference room.

Immediately I got into the conference everyone stood up to respect my presence I gestured for them to seat down. The meeting began and my eyes moved around the conference room and all I saw in the faces of my employees was nothing but fear.

They were scared of the influence and power that I had as CEO, this has been the only thing on my mind when I left Xavier’s pack to have enough power and influence. I

wanted to be a boss lady that calls the shots and so far it has been working fine for me.

After the meeting I received a text from Dad regarding the meeting I had with the billionaire.

“I will be meeting with him soon” I replied and placed the phone on my table tiredly.

“Why do you look so tired? it is not even lunch time yet” Penny said and I raised my

eyes.

“Is it that obvious” I asked and she chuckled.

“It is very obvious babe, wanna talk about it?” she asked sitting down on the chair in front of her.

“Nope” I muttered under my breath as I typed away on my laptop.

“You sure?” she asked and I sighed as I stopped typing.

“Dad wants me to meet up with a certain billionaire who happens to be an enemy of Xavier and I think we can do this on our own”

I said with a frown on my face.

“Oh, that is huge” Penny said with an amused smile on her face.

“Why do you have that smile on your face?” I asked pointing at her and she laughed.

“What smile?” Penny asked playfully.

“You were smiling like a lu natic just now” I said and she pointed at herself.

“I am not smiling” Penny said laughing and I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“You are crazy….” I said and she laughed.

“Get everything ready, I will be leaving for the restaurant very soon to meet with the billionaire” I said and she smiled.

“Ulala, I have a good feeling about this” she said and I shook my head.

“We have had three deaths this month Cephar, what is the worse thing that can happen to any pack?” I asked and he looked away.

Cephar is a dark skinned man who lives in the forest, a seer who could define the past, present and future. What people hated about the Wizard was the fact that most of his visions brought more harm than good.

That is one of the reasons why Jayden did not support the idea of seeking the Cephar’s services.

“The deaths will continue Alpha Xavier, you should be prepared for all I see is darkness. “he said and I swallowed down nothing.

“Darkness?” I asked and he turned to me.

“Yes darkness, I sense war and bloodshed a lot of bad things will happen it is up to you. to set everything right” he said and I got even more confused.

“What Is he talking about?” Jayden whisper asked and I rubbed my forehead.

“I have no idea man, am currently as confused as you are” I said and he sighed softly.

At the end of the day Cephar had to leave he refused to explain deeper as to what his visions entailed, how are we supposed to solve our problems if we have no idea where they are coming from.

“I just heard from a business partner of yours that you have this charity event coming up and I was wondering if I could attend as your plus one, I shouldn’t even be asking considering the fact that I am your wife…..” she trailed that part slowly.

“I don’t know if I will be attending the event Lina, I might ask Jayden to go in replace of me I said and she frowned.

“You have to go Xavier, I want to attend the event” she said and I controlled the urge to sigh.

“Lina, you are my wife and the luna of this pack, these things should be the last thing on your mind right now. Don’t you have an idea about the things going on in the pack right now?” I asked and she sighed softly.

“I know, and trust me I feel bad but I also have my own dreams and aspirations” she said and I raised my eyebrows.

“Going to the Charity event is your dream ?” I asked mockingly.
