“I’m here to see my son Damien Anderson” I said to one of the security guys as I stood outside his class the guy walked in after checking my pass to see if I was a genuine person and not someone who was here to harm the kid.

“Rachel” I heard the voice I could remember even in my dreams.

“Are you okay?” he asked and I smiled.

“I’m fine” I said and at that moment Damien ran outside excitedly.

“Mummy!” he said and hugged me, Xavier’s eyes moved from me to Damien then back to me and he looked really shocked.

“Hey Derrick’s Dad” he said smiling and at that moment his son Derrick came out too looking cute in his glasses.

“You must be Damien” Xavier said and Damien gave nods in excitement.

“Yes, Derrick is my best friend” he said and Derrick smiled in my direction.

“Hey Rachel” he waved at me and my heart melted at the sight.

“You know my mom?” Damien asked him excitedly.

“I didn’t know she is your mom, we met at my Dad’s office” Derrick said and Xavier introduced himself to Damien properly and my heart squeezed with guilt, I looked away as my eyes stung with tears he has no right to make me feel guilty, not after he deprived me the rights to be with our son for years.

“How about we all go to the cafeteria together?” Xavier said and Derrick and Damien ran in front.

“They answered before I even said a word” I said gesturing towards the boys.

“You don’t look like someone who has a child” he said and I raised my eyebrows.

“I’m a single mom” I said and he fell silent for a while.

“You never brought him up in our conversations” he said and I raised my eyebrows.

“We are business associates, I don’t owe you an explanation of what goes on in my life, it is my life” I said and he looked shocked and embarrassed hearing the tone of my voice

“I did not mean it like that, I thought we were getting to know each other better…” he trailed and I walked in front without saying a word.

“We found a spot for us” Derrick waved at us and we walked over to the table.

“I’ll be taking your order ma’am” the waiter said and went ahead to take our order.

“You should taste their specialty “Xavier said as he showed me the menu.

“I see you frequent this place” I said calmly and he chuckled.

“Daddy and I do this once a month” Derrick said and Damien stared at me then back at the duo.

Maybe I have been giving more time to my business more than my relationship with

my son..

guess I’ll put it into practice too” I said and Damian smiled, our eyes met and I smiled back.

The waiter served us and I held in the urge to throw up.

“Change this, mummy doesn’t eat shrimps” Damian said and Xavier stared at me. curiously.

“I’m so sorry ma’am…” the waiter went on and on apologising and I shook my head.

“It’s okay” I said as he took the dish away.

“You are staring” I said and Xavier looked away as he rubbed his forehead.

“I’m sorry, this is the second time am seeing someone with this allergy” he said and the last part almost escaped my ears.

I watched the kids play with each other and Xavier kept stealing glances at me as he ate.

“It’s passed lunch time kids, time to return to class” I said and they got over to us and I carried Damian as he k*ssed my cheeks.

“Bye mummy, bye Mr Xavier” he said and Derrick did the same before waving at me.

“Bye Miss Rachel” he said and I smiled.

“He is such a lovely kid” I said and Xavier smiled.

“I guess I can say the same about Damian, I give it to you the kid is smart” he said and a proud smile spread on my l*ps.

We walked out of the school together and got to where we packed our cars.

“So, I’ll see you some other time” he said and I smiled…

“Yeah” I muttered under my breath and he smiled as our eyes met.

“Have a nice evening” he said and I raised my eyebrows in amusement.

“Did you forget something?” he asked and I bit my lower l*p resisting the urge to burst into fits of laughter.

“Don’t you wanna go home” he asked with concern.

“You have my hand in your grip Mr Jason” I said and his eyes moved over to where both our hands where joined.

“Oh I’m……….” he trailed off speechlessly and released my hand.

I chuckled softly as I opened my car door and got into the car.

“Have a nice day ahead” I said and drove off.

“So what you are trying to tell me is that Xavier knows you guys have a son together?” Penny asked curiously.

“It’s not like he knows Derrick is his, he just knows am single mom with a cute five years old kid” I said and she chuckled.

“That must have been a shocker to him’ Penny asked curiously.

“Shocker? he was not Shocked, I was the one in complete shock, I would have made a complete fool of myself if I had let the shock be obvious.

“Jeez” Penny said and I rolled my eyes.

“I feel like I messed up the whole plan by going to school to visit Damian in school, I know that Derrick attends the same school with Damian and I was stu id enough to have ignore that.

“So what is the plan now ?” Penny asked curiously.

“Go with the flow, he knows about my son Damien but the good thing is the fact that he has no idea am not human and he has no idea that he is the father of Damian” I said

Moans and groans filled the dimely lit room as he moved in and out of his partner in bed, after some minutes of pleasure the male moves away from the other reaveling it to be Lina the supposed luna of the Xavier’s pack.

“What time is it?” she asked as she lay down on the bed exhaustedly.

“5pm” he said as he sat down and ran his fingers on his hair.

“It is late, when are you going home?” he asked and she stared at him with eyebrows

raised.

“What do you mean by when am I going home? I don’t like the way you act towards me …she trailed sadly.

“How do I act towards you? I’m only trying to make sure we don’t ruin things now that we already have things going the way we want them to go” he said and she sighed softly.

“I’m tired my love, I just want this whole game to end, Xavier and his pack should just go down so you can take over as the Alpha and we can have things done in our way” she said and he chuckled.

“Everything has a price Lina, we can’t just wake up one morning and take over the pack, that is not the plan” he said and stood up as he wore his short and began to button his

shirt.

Lina watched him silently as she pulled the sheets close to her b*dy.

“When are we meeting again??” she asked him calmly.

“I don’t know” he said and turned towards the mirror.

“But I miss you” she said and he tucked both hands in the pocket of his pants.

“Make sure you have your emotions under control” he said and gestured towards the bed..
