I walked out of the conference room where I just concluded and important meeting with a few clients which was a successful one.
Yes, we can meet tommorow just schedule the meeting and inform themâ I said to my personal assistant as I fixed my bluetooth properly, my eyes met with Gabriel Fernandez standing in the reception with a fancy shopping bag and a bouquet of flowers he looked stressed out from work.
What does this man want again. havenât I given him enough signal, I thought.
My eyes moved over to the watch on my wrist and I noticed it was seven pm taking slow strides towards him he must have sensed my presence because he turned and smiled at me politely.
âRachelâ he muttered under his breath and I took a deep breath in and out to control. my emotions.
âMr Fernandez⦠I trailed softly.
âI have told you to call me Gabrielâ he said and I sensed sadness in his voice at the last part.
âFine, Gabriel it is late you even look exhausted right now shouldnât you have head. home straight from work instead of coming hereâ I said and fold my hands against my chest.
âYeah, but a manâs heart is where the treasure lays you seeâ he said pointing to his chest and we both chuckled.
âNice lineâ I said and he smiled.
âI was hoping you would have dinner with me tonight but it id definitely okay with me if you canât meet upâ he said nervously.
âI mean you are a very busy woman Rachel and I was hoping to be privileged to dine with you tonight butâ¦â he trailed.
âLetâs goâ I said and he stopped talking as his eyes moved over to me.
âWait, what, what did you say??â he exclaimed in shock.
âYou Just said we should have dinner together tonight Gabriel and I said letâs goâ I said and he stared at me speechlessly for a while before nodding his head in excitement.

âLetâs go thank you so much Rachelâ he said as we both walked out together of my company together, I chuckled at his nervousness he had his hand at the small at my back the entire time.
âCan you imagine, I forgot to give you this bouquet, this pretty flowers for a pretty woman,â he said as he handed over the flower to me.
âHummmm, nice flower, thank you,â I said collect the flowers and breath in the scent as we walk towards his car.
âLadies firstâ he said after opening the car door for me I got on the passenger seat and he bolted the door before going over to the other side of the car and opened the car then got on the driverâs seat.
âSeatbeltâ he muttered under his breath and I raised my eyebrows in amusement.
âIâm good enough to take care of myself Gabriel, I am not a five years old kidâ I said in amusement and he blushed in embarrassment.
âSorryâ he said and focused on driving.
We got to this cozy little restaurant and I smiled as he helped me out of the car like a gentleman.
âHas anyone told you are a gentlemanâ I asked teasingly and he chuckled.
âOh, thanks Iâm honoured you think soâ he said and I laughed.
âI havenât even said anything yetâ I said playfully.
âYou are thinking of it, so that is you already saying it âhe said and I chuckled softly.
âTrust me Gabriel I donât understand that logic of yours but I guess I will let it slideâ I said playfully and he chuckled.
We placed our order and we ate in silence.
âSo tell me, what made you change your mind?â he asked and I raised my eyebrows.
âWhat made me change my mind about what?â I asked playfully.
âYou have always acted rudely towards me, I thought we were never gonna be cordial with each otherâ he said and I chuckled.
âI guess, I suspected you werenât a bad guy it is quiet obvious now that we hung out togetherâ I said and he smiled.
