? XAVIER POV?

1 felt embarrassed immediately Rachel left for her room, what was I thinking when I called her Emerald.

Rubbing my forehead I sighed in frustration, Emerald is no longer in my life yet still managed to find a way to ruin my happiness. Things were going fine between Rachel and I, until I k*ssed her and then called her the name of another woman.

Which woman in her right senses would want a man to call her the name of another woman, I’m pretty sure Rachel wants nothing to do with me.

Laying on my bed, I shut my eyes tightly while trying to get some sleep and rest my head from the thoughts that invading my mind.

That night I couldn’t sleep no matter how much I tried, I was hunted ny the k*ss. Rachel reminds me of Emerald and after that k*ss I have become even more curious about her.

I could be mistaken but I was too Inlove with Emerald to mistake her l*ps for another woman. The minute our l*ps met in the k*ss, I remembered everything from the past.

“She tasted like mate” my wolf said in my head and I sighed softly.

“We do not have a mate” I said in annoyance.

“We used to have a mate until you rejected her without validations” he said and I growled in anger.

“You have no rights whatsoever to tell me I had no validations, someone saw her kill my father” I bursted angrily.

“Someone? it wasn’t you Xavier. Of all people it was Lina that saw her kill Carlos” he said and I shut him out.

Rolfe has been acting rebellious since Emerald left, he gets into arguments with me and suddenly has a mind of it’s own.

The next morning I walked out of my room with one thing in mind, that is to setting. things right with Rachel at least before we leave this place.

“What do you want Xavier?” she asked calmly.

“I’m sorry” I muttered under my breath as my eyes scanned how beautiful she looked in her floral dress.

“Sorry? what are you sorry about?” she asked mockingly.

“Last night, I’m sorry I called you Emerald. I’m sorry about the way I reacted, trust me I cherish every moment with you I just freaked out” I said and she looked away.

“You called me the name of your EX Xavier, no women would want to be called the name of a man’s EX” she said folding her hands in annoyance.

“I’m sorry, I know no amount of I’m sorry would help so let me make it up to you” I said. and she stared at me with her beautiful eyes.

“What do you have in mind? it better worth it” she said and we both chuckled.

“The engineer texted me we don’t need to visit the site today, he has everything under control” I said and she stared at me speechlessly.

“But we came for this, why the last minute changes?” she asked with a frown on her beautiful face.

I just realized that even her smile had a resemblance with Emerald, Rachel and Emerald look very much the same.

Emerald was more of a timid looking lady with bright skin and brown eyes, she is quiet. with a mature sense of reasoning and a love that attracted everyone she comes in contact with. Emerald was a perfect definition of flower, while Rachel on the other hand. is the complete opposite.

She has bright hazel eyes with dark hair and a dress sense that Emerald would never think of wearing.

Rachel is the rich heiress of a multi billion company, she is the current CEO. Emerald had no family and even if she suddenly got a family it can’t be one as well to do as the

Anderson’s.

These thoughts could make me run mad without trying hard.

“What do you say?” I heard her beautiful voice and turned to her.

“You were saying something?” I asked and she frowned.

“You always complain when I zone out, but you just zoned out twice in a row” she said.

“I sincerely apologise for that sweetheart” I said and she blushed slightly.

“I’m not interested in the sweet talks, let’s just have our breakfast in peace” she said walking in front and I laughed as I walked with her.

My phone rang and it was Jayden, I ignored the phone call as I put my phone on flight

mode.

“So what do you have in mind?” I asked and she turned.

“English breakfast” she said and I looked at her teasingly.

“You are a wife material right ?” I asked and she chuckled.

“What kind of question is that?” she asked and I laughed.

“Scared I will ask you to cook for me?” I asked and she raised her eyebrows.

“Don’t underestimate me Xavier, I might be a career woman but I do cook for my son once in a while” she said and I smiled..

“How about we have a date one of these days” I asked and she stared at me suspiciously.

“Hey….trust me it is just a date nothing serious” I said and she rolled her eyes.

“Fine” she said and I did the victory dance in front of her.

“You are crazy” Rachel said as she laughed.

“I’m crazy for you sweetheart” I said hugging her from behind.

We went downstairs for breakfast together and spent time talking about random stuffs. One thing I noticed about Rachel was her amazing sense of humour.

Retiring to our penthouse that evening, we decided to see a movie together so Rachel ordered for some popcorns and soft drinks. It was already late in the evening when we cuddled up to each other and began to watch the movie together.

? EMERALD POV?

“What you are doing is dangerous Rachel !” Nala said in my head and I shut her out. Arguing with my wolf was the last thing on my mind right now.

How the hell am I supposed to get this man to trust me if I keep freaking out or making excuses when it’s time to hang out.

“When last did you see a movie?” I asked and he chuckled.

“I can’t remember” he said and I laughed.

“You have a son Xavier, don’t you see any of the the kids animation series with Derrick ? don’t tell me you are a boring Daddy” I said and he chuckled.

“I am a boring Daddy Rachel, I’m not

a deny it. I’m always busy but that doesn’t mean I don’t make out time for son, stop painting me bad” he said as he pouted cutely it reminded me of Damien Immediately.

For a minute I felt bad for keeping a father away from his son, but he also kept Derrick away from me so it’s a win win.

I turned my face away from the TV just for out eyes to meet.

“XAVIER” I gasped in shock as he laughed.

“You startled me, I thought we were watching a movie together” I asked and he laughed.

“I was watching a more interesting movie instead” he said and my cheeks heated in a blush.

“Oh please” I said and looked away.

I’m serious” he said and our eyes locked for a brief moment. Before we knew it, we were k*ssing each other on the couch in the sitting room.

His hands roamed my b*dy crazily and I could hear his heart beat crazily as his l*ps trailed from my l*ps to my n*eck where he sucked on my delicate flesh.

“You are so beautiful Rachel, you drive me crazy…” he muttered under his breath and memories of our passionate nights crossed my mind making me snap out of it.

“Stop it Xavier” I said getting out of his arms as I stared at him in shock my heart pounding crazily against my chest,

“What is it? I thought you wanted it as much as I did ?” he asked and I could see the lust in his eyes.

“I don’t wanna sleep with you Xavier at least not when you are married to Lina” I said and he stared at me.

“I don’t wanna be the other woman” I said playing my cards right. I know what being married to Xavier meant to Lina the shameless woman wanted to remain the Lama of his pack more than anything else in the world.

“My marriage to Lina is complicated Rachel, I thought we talked about this” he said in

“Yes we talked about your complicated marriage to Lina, Xavier but I am not going to be the vessel at which you cheat on your wife” I said and his eyes flashed in hurt.

“I don’t want to use you Rachel, let’s just forget this happened” he said and I stood only for him to hold me by the wrist.
