Rachel Anderson cancelled the meeting at the last minute I don’t understand the nerve of that woman, I bursted angrily as I removed my tie.

“So you guys were unable to sign the deal today again? I thought she was ready to sign the contract today?” Lina asked curiously as she helped me with the tie.

“I just told you we were unable to have the meeting” I said in annoyance as I walked over to the dressing mirror.

“At least you guys should have met with her one on one that is what I was curious about, at least you should be able to convince her to sign the deal” she said and I turned to her

*Rachel Anderson is a very busy person, you would have understood that if you are not more concerned about dressing up like a barbie doll” I said in anger as I matched into the bathroom to freshen up.

Rachel Anderson?? The tabloids only had news about the young billionaire heiress who worked her way to the top in five years. Whoever Rachel Anderson is, it is quite obvious that she does not like to be seen on the media because most of the pictures the internet took of her was not clear.

I heard she is strict, ruthless and not the social type It is quiet evident that the latter is true, because she has a representative that take her awards or represent her in most social gathering.

Taking a quick shower, I changed into comfortable clothes and decide to see my son.

“Where are you going Xav” Lina asked and I raised my eyebrows in amusement.

“I do not approve of your nosy attitude” I said and she stared at me sadly I made Lina the Luna a year after my separation with Emerald.

Thinking about Emerald brings back the pain I went through after our separation I walked into his room with a smile on my face.

“Daddy!!” he screamed excitedly as he jumped down from the bed and ran into my

arms.

“I have missed you Dad” he said excitedly and I stared at him with different emotions in my heart.

“I missed you too champ. How have you been?” I asked and he clapped excitedly.

“I went to school and after I came back I helped around the pack house “he said and that reminded me of his mother, she used to love doing house chores in the pack house if only we knew she had an ulterior motive.

“How many times have I tell you that it is not good for your health to work too much” I said and he pouted cutely.

“But I want to help daddd” he said and I smiled.

“I know son, but you must have enough rest so you don’t break down” I said and he gave a nod.

“I took my medicine on time daddy” he said and I gave a nod as I pulled him into my arms. I left his room after tucking him in bed just meet with Jayden outside his room.

“Good evening Alpha ” he said and I gave a nod.

“Have you got any news about Miss Anderson? I asked and he shook his head negatively.

“The woman does not have any dirt to dig, she has a clean slate and it has been hard to get a hold of anything” he said and I rubbed my face in frustration.

“Rachel Anderson has been acting all high and mighty Jayden, we need something to keep us ahead in this business game” I said and he bowed in respect.

“We have a major problem at the boarders, two werewolves were found dead they had strange marks on their n*ecks” he said and I looked at him curiously.

“Strange marks? did you ask the pack doctor about the marks on their bodies” I asked and he took a deep breath in and out.

“I did and for now there has been no positive result, he has asked me to remain patient until they are able to figure out what exactly caused those marks” he said and I pinched. the bridge of my nose in worry.

“We will meet tommorow morning” I said and made my way back to my chambers My marriage with Lina has not been an easy one, our relationship have been distant.

Anytime I try to touch her, I will think of Emerald face and her words before she leaves.

The in the past five years haven’t been easy and Lina is a materialistic girl, she only loves money and the title of ‘Luna.

I just let her be because, the pack needs a luna and that’s all even though she is not acting like the Luna.

“I have been waiting for you for hours my love, come join me in bed I have a suprise Lina said excitedly as she played with the hem of her night dress raising it up seductively walking towards my bed, I sat down quietly.

“I would appreciate it if you stop whatever you are doing Lina I am sleepy besides, I have a long day ahead of me tommorow” I said and she scoffed in annoyance.

“What is wrong with you Xavier!” she bursted angrily.

“I have a lot on my mind right now, we lost two werewolves from this pack you should be worried Lina. You are the Luna of this pack the fact that we lost two people in a day should be your business not how to mate with your husband” I fired at her angrily and her eyes widened in shock.

I stared at myself in the mirror as I applied dark l*pstick on my l*ps checking out my black dress on the mirror one more time I took a deep breath in and out.

“He rejected us Nala, don’t forget the fact that he banned us from his pack without remorse, he also killed my baby and did not even stop for a second to set things right between us or consider the fact that I could not possibly kill his father” I spat angrily.

“Mummy!” I heard Damien’s voice as he ran into my room and jumped on my bed excitedly.

“You are still not ready for school son?” I asked and he gasped playfully.

“Gran gran will take me to school later in the day” he said and I raised my eyebrows.

“Why?” I asked and he sighed.

“I told him I am sick” he said grinning from ear to ear.

“You are naughty lil boy, you are not even sick that is bad” I said and he stared at me sadly.

“It is important that you go to school, now go over to your room and let the maids get you ready” I said and he jumped down from the bed immediately.

“I’m so sorry I lied to Gran Gran” he said cutely.

“it’s okay kiddo, just don’t do it next time I said and he gave a nod before running out of the room.

Walking over to my bed, I picked up my purse and made my way out of the mansion. my driver welcomed me by opening the car door.

“Good morning ma’ he greeted politely.

“Good morning Joma “I said and sat on the passengers seat while going through my

emails.

After so many years, today is going to be the day I meet Xavier again. I did not just have plans of storming his life ordinarily, I have plans of bringing him and his pack to their

knees.

He will live to regret the pains that he caused me Immediately my car packed infront of my company building, I got down and made my way inside the building with my b*dy guards behind and two in front.

One of them opened the door and I walked in majestically. The conference room was. full by the time I got to the office I saw them from the transparent glasses but I did not go in I just went straight to my office.

“Good morning Miss Anderson, everyone is waiting for you in the conference room she said as she placed freshely brewed coffee on the table.

“The men from X Constructions are waiting in the conference room” she said and I raised my eyebrows.

“So?” I asked and her jaws literally dropped

“I….I did not mean for it to come out that way ma’am, It is just that they have been waiting for sometime and I thought I should inform you so you could meet with them. first” she said softly.

“Well you thought wrongly, I am going to see them when I want to not because you want me to I would appreciate it if you know your place” I said and she gave a nod and fixed her glasses properly.

I stayed in my office for sometime before going over to the conference room, immediately I got in everywhere fell silent and I could feel all eyes where on me.

They were humans in our midst some from my company and some from X constructions. I could perceive the smell that made me realize there were werewolves.

Throughout the meeting I could feel his eyes on me I knew he was trying to figure out where he had seen me, I was no longer the Emerald he used to know, because my smell and appearance changed. The Emerald he knew was an innocent, naive and st upid werewolf who let them walk all over her without a single complaint.

Standing before him now was a stronger and better woman the fact that I rejected him made it hard for him to even catch any scent from me, I was now a stranger to him and his pack.

At the end of the meeting everyone stood up and began to shake hands proffessionally.

“Nice working with you Mr X” I said as our hands met in a formal handshake.

“Good to finally meet you Miss Anderson” he said and I noticed he wouldn’t let go off my hand he was staring hard at him like he knew me somewhere.
