“I was not planning to say no in the first place” I said and he hugged me in excitement.

“I wasn’t planning on saying no” I said and he laughed making me join him. He doesn’t laugh much, but he have this contagious laughter that immediately he laughs, everyone else is will want to laugh along with him.

“I have to meet up with some few important people. I will meet you later” he said and k*ssed both sides of checks as he walked out of the room.

I sat back on the bed and decided to call Gabriel Fernandez.

“To what do I owe your suprise call?” he asked teasingly and I chuckled.

“He asked me to join him to the meeting” I said and Gabriel smirked.

“That is interesting” he said and I stood up from the bed and walked into the bathroom to continue with the call.

“What do you have in mind?” he asked after a moment of silence.

“What do you have in mind?” I asked back with a smirk on my face.

“I’ll send you a text once it is done” he said and I ended the call as I stared at the mirror in front of me, my mind went back to the countless times Carlos hurt me.

Xavier’s father was not a good man while he was alive, he was a cruel monster who wanted nothing more but to build his pack by h ook or by crook. He didn’t care if people get hurt or lived in fear under his rule.

He was more comfortable in doing what pleases him.

“The moon goddess paired us together” I said and he stared at me in disbelief.

“The moon goddess knows everyone’s desire and cannot cause a confusion” he said and I stared at my feet.

“I will send you away from this pack no matter the nonsense spell you cast on r he said and my eyes stung with tears as h made his way out of the room.

We walked out together and the kids ran in front excitedly.

“Can you come with the kids and I? we need to go fishing” I said to one of the guards who bowed in respect.

“Of cause ma’am” he said as we walked together.

“Since when have you been working here?” I asked curiously.

“Ever since I was a kid, my mother used to be the personal chef of the Alpha’s father he said and that sparked my interest.

“What is your name?” I asked and he smiled.

“Jax ma’am” he said and I didn’t say anything for sometime.

“And your mother?” I asked and he stared at me suspiciously.

Jax looks like someone who knew a lot of things in this pack house, I would be a big fool if I let the opportunity pass me by.

“Interesting” I said and he stared at me.

“You look innocent ma’am Rachel” he said and I didn’t say a word for a while.

“Why do you say so?” I asked and he smirked.

“I have seen a lot of things happen in this pack ma’am Rachel, all I can advise you is that you should be very careful” he said and I didn’t know what to say to that.

One thing was certain though, I am going to make sure I have a close relationship with Jax, it could come in handy.

“Mummy come fast!” Damien said and I smiled.

“I’m coming champ” I said as I joined them.

“I’ve talked to her and she agreed to join me for the meeting” I said as I fl*pped through some files. Jayden did not say word and I raised my head in his direction

“Is everything okay?” I asked curiously.

“Everything is fine Alpha” he said and I nodded.

“How are the preparations for tonight’s meeting?” I asked and he bowed in respect

“Everything is going smoothly, I believe if we leave on time we would arrive the pack early” he said and I nodded my head.

“What is that on your n*eck?” I asked with a smirk on my face.

“You have a hi ckey on your n*eck Jayden” I said teasingly.

“It’s nothing Alpha Xavier’ he said and I laughed.

“Who is the lucky woman?” I asked and he opened and closed his mouth.

“It os not what you think Alpha. If I had anyone, you are my best friend and for that reason I would not want to hide it from you” he said and I nodded while taping my feet on the floor lightly.

Jayden has been nothing but loyal to me, he has never given me reasons to doubt our friendship. He did act funny these past days, but I guess it os because of his relationship with this mystery woman.

“I would like to meet her soon” I said and he opened and closed his mouth anxiously.

“It is not necessary Alpha Xavier, I mean we are still getting to know each other he said. and I raised my eyebrows in amusement.

“Getting to know each other with a hic key on your n*eck, I am pretty sure you know every single part of her b*dy’ I said and he blushed red.

“We should discuss pack issues Alpha Xavier” he said and I laughed.

“Life is not that hard Jayden’ I said and he smiled.

“I understand boss” he said and I smiled.
