“I told you to leave that pack with your son Rachel, but you never listened!” Dad bursted angrily as he hit his hand on the table.

“I can’t just leave the pack like that Dad, you of all people should know we are so close to our game. Xavier trusts me and that is the most important thing right now” I said and Gabriel and Penny stared at me calmly.

“What exactly are you planning Rachel? we can’t waste anymore of our time. You said it yourself that your son got hurt, when are you going to strike if you don’t do it now?” Gabriel Fernandez asked in anger.

“Xavier is not a kid, he is a powerful man. We can’t just attack him!” I bursted angrily.

“Then we attack what makes him powerful” Gabriel said and we all stared at him calmly.

“And what is that?” Dad asked.

“His business, if anything happens to Xavier’s company he would be left stranded” Gabriel dropped the bombshell, and Penelope drank from her glass of wine.

“He is the Alpha of one of the biggest werewolf packs in the realm, that wouldn’t ruin him that much” Dad said and I sighed.

“But it is a good start” I said and Gabriel smirked.

“We should do that without a trace, X constructions is definitely one of the biggest things funding the pack. If we can bring it down we have gotten one of his biggest weaknesses” I said and Fernandez smirked.

“A toast to Rachel’s revenge” Gabriel said and everyone raised a toast.

After the meeting, I walked out of the office with Gabriel.

“You look beautiful” he said and I stared at him.

“Is this you flirting with me?” I asked and he smiled.

“You know how I feel about you Rachel” he said and I chuckled.

“Gabriel we have a lot on our hands, I can’t be with you and still be with Xavier at the same time” I said and I noticed his countenance change.

“Rachel what you have with Xavier is not something serious, What I want with you is something more serious” he said and I didn’t know how to react to that.

Getting to the pack house, the kids nanny walked up to me with the both of them.

It’s been three days since the accident happened, I decided to tell them my Dad and the others today in other to get us prepared for whatever happens.

“My mom has scores to settle with these people, I believe you deserve to meet her” he said and that got me thinking.

I can’t help but imagine the amount of people Carlos and Xavier hurt. Carlos especially was nothing but a cruel bas tard who enjoyed seeing people suffer. My eyes scan the area, I haven’t walked to this side of the pack ever since I left after the rejection.

“This way” Jax said and led me into the house.

“Brother” a young girl walked over to us as she hugged Jax.

“Where is mom?” he asked her curiously.

“In the sitting room” she said as she led us into the house.

“Mom Jax is here with the Alpha’s girlfriend” she said and I raised my eyebrows in Jax’s direction.

“It is a old news that you are the Alpha’s girlfriend” he said and I felt the urge to facepalm myself.

If I had the mind about changing my plans, after what I just heard I am not thinking about it anymore. Xavier and his pack deserves anything I dish to them, after all this pack was built on the tears of others.

“Hey, where have you been all day?” I asked and she hugged me sweetly from behind.

“Work? I stopped by your company today because I wanted to suprise you with lunch” I said and she sighed.

I pulled away after some time and she stared at me.

“Is everything okay? you look worried” she said and I sighed.

“I don’t know why I feel so disturbed” I said and she raised my eyebrows.

“You wanna talk about it?” she asked and I shook my head,

“No” I said and she sat on my laps and pulled my face towards hers.

“Everything is going to be alright” she said and for some reason her words felt like magic to my soul.

“C’mon let’s go have dinner” she said and I stood up as we walked out of the room together.

After dinner, we both retired to our room freshened up together and decided to call it a night. We were still locked up in each other’s arms when I received a call from someone. I stared at my phone and put in on airplane mode, I was too tired to receive any calls.

The next morning we were still asleep when I heard a knock on the door, I sighed as I opened my eyes softly.

“Who is at the door?” Rachel asked as she groaned softly.

“I will just go ahead and check it out” she said and walked over to the door and I frowned when Jayden walked into the room.

“We have a problem Alpha Xavier” he said and I sat up immediately.

“The X contructions building caught fire last night” he said and my world came crashing down.
