âHe cried in front of you? That must have been a lot to take in Jaxâs mom said as I sat on their couch.
âAt this point, I donât know what is right and wrong anymore I just feel terribleâ I said as I leaned my back on the couch.
âIt is bound to happen, you guys have gotten even closer since you came as Rachel she said and I rubbed my face anxiously.
*Recently, I feel like there is more to everything I know and that is what scares me the mostâ I said and she stared at me calmly.
âSo what do you want to do? Donât tell me you want to allow weakness stop you from giving us all the revenge we truly deserveâ she said and I could feel the anger in her voice.
I mean who wonât be pis sed off? She lost her legs and self respect just so Carlos could build his pack on the expense of her life, itâs painful.
âHow is Lina?â I asked Jax who frowned his face.
Still unconscious, the doctor believes she would be like that till tommorowâ he said and I sighed.
âShe is luckyâ Jaxâs mom said and we both turned to her.
âIf she happened to be human, with all Iâve heard so far she would not have survived it. Being a werewolf helped with the healing processâ she said and I gave a nod.
âShe is going to be so heartbroken, when she wakes up to hear the news of her losing her childâ Jax added and I sighed.
Loosing a child is one of the most painful experiences in the world, I still remember the pain I felt the night Xavier took my child away from me.
âWhat is on your mind ?âJax asked.
âItâs nothing. Call me when she regains consciousnessâ I said and stood up wearing my shades as I made my way out of the house.

âYou are quietâ I said and she shook her head.
âItâs nothing serious, I just have a lot on my mindâ she said and I did not push further.
I was currently dressed in a black dress, hat and shades, with heels to match. We got down from the car and some guys walked over to us with black umbrellas as they walk us down to the grave yard.
Gabriel Fernandez have been put to rest in our absence, and I decided to come pay my last respects to an old friend. He was smart enough to have written his will, Fernandez gave everything to an orphanage.
âGabrielâ¦.â I called as I tried not to choke on my words.
âIâm sorry you m had to die in the course of fighting for what is right. It pains my heart. because you did not deserve what happened to youâ I said and tears rolled out of my
cycs.
âI promise not to fail in this journey, I promise to bring an end to Carlosâs legacy. The red blood pack was built with the tears of innocent people, I will make sure it falls to the groundâ I said and sniffed back tears.
âFarewell my friendâ I said and wore my shades properly as I made my way out of the cemetery with Penny not far behind.
The ride back was a silent one as I tried to process everything that happened.
âMummyâ the kids ran into my arms Immediately I got into the pack house and Xavier sent me a gorgeous smile that made my heart doing a summersault.
âHey my mummyâ Xaiver said sweetly and I chuckled..
âWe missed you momâ Damien said as he went ahead to telling me how they enjoyed themselves and where they went.
âSometimes you act like your sonsâ I said and froze immediately realising my blunder.
âDamien is family as much as Derrick is, you didnât say anything wrongâ he said and k*ssed my cheeks, I nearly cried from the relief that he did not take it serious.
âYou seem to be very busy these daysâ he said as we made our way towards our room.
âWork relatedâ I lied and he gave a nod.
âJayden and I were trying to see if we can come up with something new for the businessâ He said and I could hear the trust he put in me in his voice.
I donât know if I should judge Jayden for backstabbing him when I was doing worse.

âThat is hugeâ I said and he smiled genuinely, what made me more guilty was the fact that it reached his eyes.
âI canât wait for all of this to be over soon, so we can get marriedâ he said and he hugged me from behind. We stayed in that position as we talked about random stuffs.
We had dinner with the kids after which we decided to call it a night. As I tried to get some sleep, my mind kept thinking of the trouble ahead.
âIs everything alright love?â Xavier asked and I stared at him in shock.
âBabeâ¦.â I whined and he smiled.
âIâm sorry I startled you, I noticed you werenât sleepingâ he said and I sighed.
âI just couldnât sleepâ I said and he sat up.
âWhat is on your mind? Wanna talk about it?â he asked with concern.
âYou are the sweetest boyfriend you knowâ I said and he chuckled.
âCome hereâ he said and pulled me into his arms as we fell asleep in each otherâs arms.

âIt was indeed an easy decision, but then the joy of watching him bleed to death was worth itâ Elroy said smirking.
âYou need to have seen his face when he saw me. He couldnât believe I was still aliveâ Elroy said as he walked around with a ciggarrate in between his fingers.

The next morning I received a text from Jax that Lina was awake, I freshened you quickly and changed into something comfortable before making my way towards the house.
âGood morning Rachel Jax said and I walked in, the Doctor bowed and continued whatever he was doing.
âSheâs healing pretty fast and that is a good oneâ The doctor said while Lina was quiet the entire time with unshed tears in her eyes.
âLike I said before you began the treatmentâ¦â I trailed and the doctor gave a nod.
âThe news should not get outâ he said and bowed before leaving.
My eyes moved over to Lina who was quiet the entire time, I guess she is still trying to overcome the trauma and shock.
âI lost it right?â she asked with her hand placed on her stomach.
âIâm sorry you lost it Linaâ I said and she shifted away from me.
âI want to be left alone pleaseâ she muttured under her breath with a shaky voice.
âButâ¦â Jax trailed.
âPleaseâ she said as she cried.
âI donât want to talk to anyone just leave me alone!â she cried out and I signaled Jax that we should leave. He looked pissed off with the whole idea of leaving but end up following me.
âShe thinks she has the rights to make request after we obviously saved her lifeâ he said and I sighed.
âHer whole mind is messed up, we canât get anything from her if we pressure herâ I said. and he sighed.
âShe is no saintâ he said and I didnât know what to say to that. Everything was happening too fast.
