? XAVIER POV?

“What do you mean by it got cancelled !” I heard Lina burst out in anger, whoever at the other side of the phone must have dropped a terrible news because she looked like she was about to loose her mind.

“I worked so hard for this deal Charles you can’t just wake up one morning and tell me you can’t work with me!” she burst in frustration.

“At least tell me what I did wrong the last times we talked, we were already fixing dates to do the final signing what happened?” She asked while rubbing her forehead in frustration.

I stopped what I was doing in my laptop and watched her curiously.

“What do you mean by the CEO of Anderson Empire will want nothing to do with your company if I am the face of your brand I did nothing wrong, I don’t even know that woman in person so where is all this coming from !” she asked and the person on the other end went ahead to explain.

“That is not a valid reason Charles, I need this gig you know how important this is for my brand” she said almost crying.

“Hello, Charles…… Charles” she said over and over again and stopped talking immediately.

“What us wrong” I asked when I noticed she threw her phone on the bed.

“Who the hell is Rachel Anderson! Who does she think she is to dictate what goes on int my life” she asked whilst vibrating in anger.

“Rachel Anderson ?” I asked curiously and she stared at me with unshed tears in her

cycs.

“That woman is after my life I don’t even know her she said throwing her hand in

anger.

Immediately Lina left, I stared at the spot she was standing as different thoughts ran through my mind.

Who is Rachel Anderson?? Why is she doing all these things?? Everything about the woman felt mysterious and I am going to make sure I find out what exactly she is

That night I went to the pack boarders to get some information from the soldiers on patrol.

“Alpha Xavier” one of them said as he bowed in

respect.

“Has there been anything unusual tonight?” I asked and he shook his head.

“For now we have nothing sir, not a single rogue wolf hanging around” he said and I gave a nod.

“Keep your eyes and ears open we do not want a repeat of what happened the other time, I want you to give account of the people that go in and out of the pack” I said and he

gave a nod.

Returning to my room, I received an email from Jayden containing the information. about Rachel Anderson. The woman is not married yet, now that I could place a face to the name I think that is where solving this whole mystery begins.

The next day we were still at the breakfast table when Aunty arrived ever since my mother passed on, my Aunty has been the closest family I have aside sad she ha Elroy.

Elroy and I have never been in good terms man did things against the pack rules he was a rebellious werewolf who would do anything he was instructed not to do.

Things got really bad when he started forming a coup to overthrow my father and take over as the next Alpha of the pack. Hatred, anger and greed blinded him, when the news or his plans got to me I banned him from the pack and stripped him of all royal rights. He was supposed to be the beta of the pack but something just didn’t sit well between him and I, I chose my friend Jayden to be the beta.

Elroy have been bitter ever since he left the pack he promised to get back at us and we haven’t heard from the bas ta rd for years.

My pack has faced a lot of betrayals over the years and it is still suprising that we are standing strong after everything.

“Son” Aunt said as she walked over to me I stood up as we hugged she k*ssed my cheek.

“You have grown into a very responsible Alpha just like your father” she said and I smiled.

“Welcome back ma’am, this is my son Derrick” I said and Derrick waved at her shyly.

“Such a cute kid you have” she said pulling Derek’s cheeks cutely.

“I am glad you feel so I said and Lina looked away immediately she never likes it when someone talks about Derrick I guess she is still insecure about him being Emeralds.

My phone pinged and as I read my business messages my mind went over to the fact that I had a lot to do concerning Rachel Anderson.

I am going to be close to her, so close to the point she won’t see me coming.

“Charles broke the news to Lina and the poor thing nearly died from heart attack” Penny said as she leaned on the arm chair.

“I can imagined the look on her make up face” I said and penny threw her head backwards as she laughed like her life depended on it.

“Make up face indeed, I don’t know what inspires her make-up sessions” she said and I laughed.

“Have you placed a research team on what I asked you to?” I asked and she gave a nod.

“So far we have been able to get something, by the end of tommorow I will gather all the information on your desk” she said and I smiled.

“Derrick is my son penny I can feel it in my guts and the more I think about it the more hurt I feel “I said and looked away.

“Your son?” I heard father’s voice as he stood outside

Penny looked away probably hiding from Dad’s questions.

“You just said something about a son” Father said and I rubbed my head in frustration.

“It is nothing father, I could be wrong” I said and he stared at me and then penny.

“Will someb*dy say something about what is going on!” he said angrily and I rushed over to him the minute he started coughing.

“Dad calm down, please have a sit” I said and helped him sit down on the opposite

“I think Lina lied to me that night father, she was lying when she told me Xavier killed our son, I think the child I saw with Xavier today is Damien’s twin brother” I said and he stared at me calmly.

“Yes, We are hoping for a positive reply first thing tomorrow morning” Penny said and I gave a nod.

“If the boy is yours there is no cause for alarm we would find a way to get him on your side somehow” father said and I gave a nod.

Xavier does not deserve anything good in life I wonder what lie he told Innocent Derrick. That night as I lay to sleep, I set up a new plan in my mind no matter how hard he tries to hide he will fall helplessly into this trap I have set for him.

The next morning I dressed up in my formal wears ready for the office, as I made my way outside Damien called my name from the breakfast table.

“Are you leaving mummy??” he raised his voice and I chuckled.

“Yes champ, you don’t want mummy to be late for work now do you?” I asked and he shook his head cutely.

“But mummy hasn’t had breakfast yet” he said pouting cutely.

“Mummy would have breakfast at the office sweetie” I said and he gestured for me to bend to his level, immediately I bent down his soft l*ps met my forehead then both. sides of my cheek.

“Love you mummy” he said and my heart warmed up immediately no matter how hard I try to conceal and not feel things Damien always has a way of making me Vunerable.

“I love you more baby” I said and returned the k*sses before pulling him Into my arms. for a short hug.

Immediately I got to the office, I sat down on my chair and got to work.

“Good morning Miss Anderson you have a delivery from someone special” my personal assistant said as she gave me teasing looks.

“What is this?? Who sent it?” I asked in confusion as my eyes moved over to the flowers

“An anonymous sender sent this to you ma’am this person must really admire you” she said smiling and when she noticed I was not returning the smile she stopped immediately.

“Just put the flower down” I said and she bowed her head a little..

“Alright Miss Anderson” she said and walked away out of my office not without. dropping the flowers.

I can’t remember having a secer admirer, I stared at the roses in a bouquet. Standing up from my sit I walked over to them picked it from the table and threw them in the trash.

“I did nothing wrong. I don’t have the time for stu pid romance games the last time I involved myself with a man, I regreted every bit ofit ” I said walking back to my chair.

“It is not our fault that our mate was a stup id werewolf who put the opinion of another woman above his mate” Nala said and I chuckled.

“Get ready to see more of Xavier because we are about to storm his life it won’t take long before he starts wooing us baby, we are staying rent free in his head” I said with confidence.

“I still feel we should take things slow Emerald maybe try to find out why things happened the way they did are you going to ruin his whole pack due to Xavier’s mistake ?” Nala asked and I grabbed the glass in front of me angrily.

“He brought me nothing but pain his pack brought me nothing but shame I will bring them to their knees ” I said in anger.
