“I can’t find Penny anywhere and she is not even picking my calls Rachel, and you think now is the best time to tell me she left the city with your kids now? In this situation!” Dad bursted angrily.

“What has gotten over you Rachel!” he bursted angrily.

“Penny made it clear to me that the both of you ain’t seeing each other anymore dad, you can’t eat your cake and have it” I said and he stared at me with an hurt expression on his face.

“Let me guess, you went back to Xavier Jason?” Dad asked and I stared at him calmly.

“Going back to Xavier is not the bone of contentment father” I said and he banged his hand on the table in front of us angrily.

“Is that what you think? I gave you a life when that guy accused you…” he trailed.

“Because that was your duty as my father!” I bursted angrily as my voice shook at the edge.

“You are making it sound like you never abandoned me for a great part in my life” I said

in hurt.

“I was left to grow on my own, picking up the pieces of what Xavier broke should not make you feel like

feel like you are any better dad” I said and he stared at me in shock.

“Are you talking to me like that?” he asked in disbelief.

“Someone’s got to tell you the bitter truth. You had Penny pa, then you decide to loose her yourself because you could not keep it in your pants. Penny deserves better” I said and he stared at me in disgust.

“Don’t you dare me Rachel!” he said angrily.

“I’m back with Xavier not because of what you or anyone else has to say, but because we genuinely love and care about each other” I said and he just stared at me.

“He accused you of killing his father, sent you to the out house and left you to die. You seem to have forgotten all of that in a twinkle of an eyes Rachel” he said anger dripping out of his words.

“Mummy wants you and Derrick to to on a vacation with aunt Penny for now okay” she said and they both stared at with curiosity written all kver their faces.

“Are you and Daddy coming along too?” Derrick asked.

“For now?? No, Mummy and I have to stay back and handle important pack duties. But immediately we sought things here, we would come and join you guys” I said and they gave a nod.

“But we want to stay here with you and mummy” Damien said and I could sense Emerald shaking from the emotions that enveloped her.

“We would join you guys immediately we finish what we are doing over here, it is at promise” I said and they gave nods in agreement.

“Aunt Penny is fun to be with anyways, we will just go with her and wait for you and mummy to join us” Damien said with a bright smile on his face and we both chuckled.

“You boys are fun to be with too my babies” Penny said to them and Emerald asked the Nanny to pack up some of their clothes for the trip.

When it was time to leave, the boys got a bit emotional but we sent them anyways. Penny who wasn’t going to Emeralds place, but straight out of the city.

The least we want is to take chances that will cost us dearly.

“They’ll be fine” I said to Emerald as we both walked back inside together.

“I know, I’m just sad they have to leave” she said and we both smiled.

“What do you want to do now that things are happening so fast?” She asked with conce

“First of all, I want to make him pay for everything he put me through baby” I said and I don’t need to say more than that, because she already knew who I was talking about.

Jayden’s betrayal still hits deep when I think about it, he wont know what hit him when I get back at him.

said and Dad sat down on his office chair with a loud thud.

“Get out of my office…” he trailed.

“But father you …” I trailed.

“I SAID GET OUT!” he bursted angrily as his words echoed in the room, I bowed and walk out of his office immediately.

The ride back to the pack house was a long and quiet one. Immediately I got into the house, I walked straight to Xavier’s room.

“I haven’t been seeing or hearing from the kids son, and I wanted to make sure there okay” I heard the voice of his pretentious aunt as I made my way into the room.

“You have nothing to worry about aunt, they will be fine” he said and I gave a nod as she looked in their direction.

“Do you think it is easy for the kids to stay away from their parents…” she asked, and all I could see while looking at her is her fake concern which pissed me off.

“At least tell me where you guys took them to” she said and I decided to step in.

“We don’t think that is necessary aunt Maggie, we want the location of the children to be private and it is going to be like that” I said and she stared at me in disbelief.

“What are you insinuating? That I will stoop so low to hurt my own grand children!” she fired back at me angrily.

“Do not put words in my mouth aunt Maggie” I said trying my best to control my

temper.

“Why can’t I know the location of my own grand children huh? First you hide them from Xavier, and now you have brainwashed him into believing someone here wants to hurt the children” she fired angrily.

“The kids went on a vacation which I will not disclose their locations to anyb*dy, if you can’t bare it…let it go” I said and she just stared at me with her heart fill with hatred.

“Pride, that is all I see in too. After everything, I can’t believe you shamelessly decided. to stick to Xavier due to what he has to offer. On a normal day, her words would have received a come back from me but I didn’t want to hurt Xavier, considering the fact that she was like the mother he never had.

“Nonsense!” she bursted angrily as she made her way out of the room.

*Baby don’t you think we should tell her? She is just worried about the children” he said and I knew he was feeling bad about the way we reacted.

“Hey, we sent the kids away because we don’t know where the attack would come from…” I trailed.

“But Aunt Maggie would never think of hurting the kids, I basically grew up with her he said immediately.

“I’m not disputing the fact that she watched you grow after the untimely demise of your mother. What am trying to say is that, you should not tell anyone, the less she knows. the best for all of us” I said and he smiled exhaustedly.

“Aunt must feel so bad, I wull just look for a way to apologise to her. She genuinely cares for the kids” he said and I didn’t say a word about the lies his aunt was telling.

Aunt Maggie pace around her room angrily, as she tried to control her anger, it kept getting worse every minute.

“It is late Maggie what do you want to tell me” Blake asked in a bored and uninterested. tone as he picked up her call.

“Don’t you angrily.

dare use that tone on me, if you still love your daughter’ Maggie bursted.

“Don’t tell me you called me by this time of the night just to warn me about Rachel” Blake said in shock.

“It seems shocking until I attack Blake, your daughter is over stepping her boundaries. and someone got to tell her that’ Aunt Maggie bursted angrily.

“You think I have not tried? I’m too tired to have this conversation right now” Blake said. and ended the call.

Maggie stared at her phone in shock, did he ended the call on her?? Pinching the bridge. of her nose, she made a mental note to deal with him later.

Her phone rang again and it was her son Elroy, she picked the call while walking into

the room.

“Son” she said and I couldn’t comprehend the things he was saying.
