“I told her I will be going with her to shop for her wedding dress” I told Jax as he assist me with the files on my table.

“Isn’t that like a ladies thing, Alpha ?” he asked curiously.

“Don’t you find it romantic, that am going with my girlfriend to get her wedding dress?” I asked and he sighed.

“My mother used to say it is bad omen for a man to see his bride in her wedding dress before the day of the wedding” he said and I stared at him in shock.

“How true is that?” I asked and he opened and closed his mouth like a fish.

“I don’t really know for now” he replied, and I chuckled.

“I don’t believe in superstitious things. It is not like I haven’t seen her in a white dresses. before” I said and Jax chuckled.

“I want to believe this is a wedding dress, which makes it different from any other dress Alpha Xavie “he responded and I chuckled lightly.

“It is up to you though, if you want to believe it or not” he said and I chuckled.

“I already promised her we would go shopping together so, am not changing my mind anytime soon” I tell him, and he nodded in agreement nod.

“I have a meeting with some of the members of the board, and we have decided to start afresh with the company” I told Jax as I continued to work on the file place on my office desk.

“That sounds good” he said, as I hum lowly while tapping my feet of the floor.

“I know things are going to be Rocky at first, but I believe with our branches in different places in the world, the business would flourish in no time” I said and he couldn’t help but agree with me.

“Have you tell her?” he asked/and he knew exactly who he was talking about, without feeling the need to ask him.

We were discussing randomly about his family and I asked him if he as tell his sister about the whole step sister issue.

“I’m not going to question the decision you guys made in the past. After all, my father and my family did not deserve her, not after what he did to your family” I said and Jax sighed.

“You are nothing like your father Alpha Xavier. I can attest to it” Jax tell me, and I smiled.

“That is one of the things I have ever wished for, that I don’t become half of what Carlos was when he was still alive” I tell him, as my heart squeezed with hurt.

He never left any good memories with anyone, all he did was hurt more people with his evil and cruel deeds.

I wanted to make a difference. looking at the pack,I won’t say I have made good progress towards archiving that. I have made mistakes, I have fall countless times and picked myself back up to be where I am today. If I could set things right with Emerald, I believe I can get things straight with the pack.

“What do you have in mind Alpha Xavier?” he asked and I turned towards him.

“I want to meet her” I said and he bowed.

“I will set up a meeting, Sir” Jax said and I nodded as we walked out of my office together.

Jax made a phone call as I waited for him patiently.

“She is in school, but I believe they would be closing for the day soon. If we can go to hee school and pick her up ourselves, we will have the entire afternoon to talk to her” Jax calmly suggested.

“Let’s go” I conveyed, and he looked surprised that I was willing to clear my schedule, and make out time to meet his kid sister.

Jax offered to drive us to his sisters school. When we got to her school, she was standing outside the gate and looked shocked to see her brother.

“Jaxon” she said in suprise.

“Since when did you start using the Alpha’s car for personal use?” she asked and he

chuckled.

I did not hear the other things they conversed about, infact I was shocked to see her walking towards the car, She got in with Jax and bowed her head in respect,

“Good afternoon Alpha Xavier” she greeted me, bowing her head in respect.

“It’s okay, you don’t have any reason to be tensed. I believe you have not done anything bad” I communicate with her in a calm manner, and she refused to make eye contact with me.

I hate it when people feel like they have no rights whatsoever to look my in the eyes. The Alpha’s before has set up strict rules that made commoners in the pack feel very less of themselves.

“Make yourself comfortable……” I trailed.

“My name is Tasha” she said and I smiled.

“Beautiful name for a beautiful and respectful young girl” I said and her cheeks heated in a blush.

“The Alpha said am beautiful” I heard her whispering to Jax, but it was loud enough for me to hear which made me smile at the bond they share. Even if Carlos was the worst thing that happened to all of us, I believe Tasha and I can build a beautiful siblings relationship by sticking to each other.

We arrived at the garden and I gestured towards her to sit on the chair that were arranged for the meeting.

“What should I offer you? You must be tired and hungry from the days activities” I asked her, and she turned to Jax probably trying to figure out why the Alpha invited her over and was even asking to treat her to a meal.

“Go ahead, pick what you want” I gestured towards the menu on the table, and she picked it

up and look through the list of food available in other to order something. After she choose the dish she want, I decided to go with what she was having and Jax picked something else too.

We had a quiet dinner, and I could even feel the tension in the air.

“Shouldn’t I go back home? Mom might be all alone with no one to help her out” she whisper to Jax, and Jax shook his head negatively.

“Lina is keeping her company, I don’t think you have anything to be worried about” jack said and she responded with a subtle nod.”

“Why exactly did you invite me over Alpha Xavier? I’m dying of tension, cause I can’t figure it out” she asked me looking curious, and I looked at Jax who give me a go ahead to talk.

“I just recently found out that we are siblings Natasha” I drop the bombshell, and she stared at me like I did not have an idea of what I am saying, or the implications of what I had just said.

“You must be kidding, I have only one brother which is Jax. Our Dad died before I was born, and mom single handedly raised the both of us” Tashal calmly point out, as her voice shook a bit.

“Yes, you and jax are siblings but, the both of you do not share the same father” I said calmly.

“That is a lie!” she said immediately, not believing what I just said.

“Mom and Jax will not hide something like that from me, Jax why are you quiet? the Alpha is mistaken right?? You can’t just seat there and say nothing” she bursted angrily.

“What the Alpha just said is the truth, Tasha” Jax said in one go.

“WHAT!” she screamed as tears rolled out of her eyes.

“Listen to me Natasha” he said and she stared at him with tears rolling out of her eyes.

“When were you guys planon telling me? Wait did you guys even think for a minute that I deserved to know the truth!” she bursted angrily as she choked on her words.

“We understand how you feel ….” Jax trailed.

“You do not understand how I feel. If you have the slightest idea how I feel right now, you would never have hidden something so crucial!” she said as she cried.

“The circumstances of your birth was not pleasant, Mom didn’t want you to grow up feeling like you owed us something for genuinely loving you” Jax tried to explain to her, and from the sound of his voice, he was obvious he was crying in the inside.

“Mom never had it easy even before Dad died, and after he died, it was like her whole life came crashing down” Jax explained.

“So she decided to birth a child with Carlos?” Tasha asked sniffing back her tears. The disgust was evident in her tone. After all, it was not a news about the bad things my dad did when he was still alive

“I didn’t know you think so little of our mother” he said and she cried.

“What do you expect me to think, when she had an affair with Carlos?” Tasha asked crying.

“Mom would have rather died than give herself willingly to Carlos” Jax said, and Natasha folded her arms against her chest.

“Their are many things that you do not know, I expected you to at least ask for an explanation instead of throwing accusing fingers at our mother” Jaxon said and she cried.

“You think it is easy for me!! I just found out my whole life is a lie. Mum didn’t bother to tell me or she should be here to explain thing. What am I supposed to do? Jump and dance excitedly?” she asked as she laughed bitterly.

“our mummy would have been the one explaining all this, but she is not emotionally strong. And I don’t want her to break down, I don’t want her to keep remembering all those bad memories.”Jax calmly explained.

My biological father used to serve as the pack house as a soldier. It was unfortunate that his mate caught Carlos eyes,due to the fact that she was a maid In the palace …” Jaxon explained to her.

“He raped her?” Natasha asked as she cried.

“And he did not stop even when Dad confronted him, Carlos murdered him right in front of mom. She only found out she was pregnant few months later” Jaxon said as he wiped the tears that rolled out of his eyes.

“I….I can’t believe this” she stuttered as she cried.

“I’m a product of the assault, of the pain, how can you guys even love me….” she trailed as she burst out laughing.

“I’m not his daughter …I …I’m not his daughter” she said as she cried.

I walked over to her and bent down to her level as she cried.

“I can’t be the daughter of such a cruel monster, I am not his daughter” she said as she cried.

“Even if you continue saying that for eternity, it wouldn’t change the fact that we both have his blood running through our veins, Tasha” I tell her calmly.

I calmly pointed out “It would not change the fact that we need to leave our lives and be happy, irrespective of the monster that brought us to this worlda”

“You should be glad Tasha, you have your lovely mom and even Jaxon while growing up. I grew up with the monster, I watched him control my life and make it a living hell. He made me feel less of myself, he made me feel like I did not deserve to be happy” I said and took a deep breath in and out.

“Now when I look at it, am proud of my self because, I turned out to be nothing like our father”

“He would never be my father, I will never ever…. consider him as my father….” she trailed as she cried bitterly, while hiccuping.

Jax walked over to her as he tried to convince her that everything would be okay,

“It hurts Jax” she said as she sniffed back tears.

“We don’t have to force anything for now Tasha. You can continue living your normal life until you are ready to bond with me” I said holding her hand lovingly.

“Thanks Alpha Xavier” she said while crying.

“You can call me Xavier” I said and she smiled out.

“I can’t believe I have another brothe” she responded sweetly and I chuckled.

We made our way outside the garden together, when we met a curious aunt Maggie, standing and looking at us.

“Aunt” I said and her eyes moved over to us.

“Son, who is this teenager?” she asked while trying to figure out who the girl was, as

I opened my mouth to introduce her.

“She came to see me in my duty post, I decided to see her off since the Alpha was also going outside” Jax said before I could do the introduction.

“We should leave, have a nice evening Alpha Xavier” he said, and bowed before quickly taking his sister with him.
