“Wait …” he trailed, as he rushed after her. They stopped by the staircase as she cried.

“Wait Penny please….” he said and held her hand.

“Don’t let her go Blake, you and I know what will happen to the both of us if she lives this place” Aunt Maggie screamed frustratedly.

“I can’t believe this Blake. How can you be so cruel towards me, and your own daughter. I was such a fool to have ever believed in your cheap lies, when all you ever wanted was a way to get into my pants” she bursted angrily.

“It is not like that, I genuinely loved you” Blake said, and Aunt Maggie scoffed in annoyance.

“She already knows the truth Blake, lying to her is just a waste of time at this point” Aunt Maggie said angrily.

“Let me be the judge of that Maggie” Blake bursted angrily.

“I can’t believe Xavier trusts and respects you like his own mother. Maggic, you are the perfect definition of a wolf in a sheep’s clothing” Penny said, and Aunt Maggie stared at her in anger.

“Don’t you stand there and say trash to me Penelope !” she shouted, and Penny’s eyes stung with tears.

“You Know what? I won’t waste my time talking to you about this. I’m going to put an end to this madness, by exposing each and every one of you to the Alpha Xavier and Emerald” Penny threatened them, and turned to leave.

“Let’s see how that will becomes successful” Maggie said, as she pushed Penny from the

stairs.

“PENNY!” Blake screamed in shock, as he watched Penelope fall from the stairs and lay unconscious on the floor with blood dripping from her head.

“F***, fuck” he cursed, as he rushed down the stairs to check if she is still alive.

“Penny…” he called in horror.

“Is she dead?” Aunt Maggie asked with a frown on her face.

“Is that all you care about right now Maggie!” he bursted in disbelief and anger.

“What do you expect me to do? Cry and act as if I care because, I tried to silent her? Open your eyes and see the handwriting on the wall Blake. This girl would have gone straight to Xavier, and tell him the truth!” Maggie yell, as she glared at Penny’s unconscious b*dy.

Blake walked over to her and carried Penny in his arms.

“What are you doing Blake?” she asked in shock.

“Taking her to the hospital, I am not going to watch her die because of our selfish interest” he said, and she scoffed.

“Have you think of what the police will ask you when you take her to the hospital yourself?? A lot of things are at risk here” Maggie told Blake, trying to manipulate him.

“Do I look like I give a damn!” he bursted angrily, as he walked towards the door.

“Fine, we can just drop her somewhere then call for help or something. You can’t be the one sending her to the hospital, or a lot of things will go wrong. Why can’t you see it !” Maggie said desperately, hoping Blake will listen to her.

“Please Blake, we have come too far to back out now” she said, placing her hand on his shoulder.

“Please” she apologised again, and he nodded, agreeing to what Maggie just say.

The game is getting dirtier ever fuckin minute, and at this point he did not know how to untangle himself from the web of lies, deceit, betrayals and pain.

He stand with Maggie as they hide behind the trees, they watched as an ambulance take away the unconscious Penelope.

“All we need to do now is to make sure no one traces her absence to you. The servants in your mansion should keep their mouths shut ” Aunt Maggie said, and made her way out of the place angrily.

Blake buried his face in his hands, as he cried like a baby. Everything is beginning to take a toll on him at this point, and he did not really know if he should still keep these secrets to

Confessing mean revealing the truth about Penelope, and if that comes out it will not only ruin him, but it will also destroy everything he has built in the cause of his life. Blake will rather die than watch any of that happen to him, not now not ever.

“Mummy, you have to spend the night with us today” Damien said, and Derrick chuckled softly.

“Wait, have you guys been planning to hijack me from your Dad?” I asked, and they laughed confirming my words to be true.

“Dad keeps getting you all to himself. It is not our fault that we miss you” Derrick said, and Damien nodded in agreement.

“Ohhh, I see….” I trailed and they chuckled.

“And now that the both of you are getting married, it’s going to give you more opportunities to stay with Dad instead of us” Damien said, giving me a puppy face, and I just stared at them in shock.

“Okay, where did that come from?” I asked, with a chuckle.

“Dad keeps keeping you all to himself” they said together, and I laughed.

“That is not true, I love all of you equally. It is just that daddy needs my attention too, due to reasons I can not tell you” I explained to them, and they stared at me curiously.

“Is it because it is forbidden?” Derrick asked cluelessly, as he fixed his glasses properly.

“Nope, it’s not possible for you boys to understand because, you guys are still kids, and these kind of information are for adults only” I said and they sighed in unison.

“Why do adults make everything seem like it is forbidden for kids?” Damien asked, with a frown on his face.

“We will be adults soon, then you have no choice than to tell us everything” Derrick said, like he is making a deal and I burst out laughing.

I stayed with them until they fell asleep, and I sighed softly.

“Are sleeping?” I heard Xavier’s voice from the door, which made me turn towards him.

“Shhhhhhh” I said and he chuckled deeply.

“It is funny how you are scared they will wake up.” he said and I chuckled.

“How sad that their plans did not come into manifestation” he said and we both laughed as we made our way towards our room.

“How was your day?” I asked, as he sat on the bed.

“Great, anytime I think of the fact that we will be tieing the knot tommorow, it brings a genuine smile on my face” he said and I smiled.

“I’m happy when you are genuinely happy” I said, and he give a nod. I opened my mouth to say something, but suddenly felt the strong urge to throw up.

I turned around and ran as fast as my legs could carry me into the bathroom, I faced the sink and emptied the content of my

stomach.

“Are you okay baby?” I heard his voice from the bathroom door.

“I…. yes, I’m….fine…” I trailed, and threw up again. I am feeling weak that minute, and I knew the feeling too well.

I pray it is just something I ate, and not that am pregnant. In as I want to have another baby, this is not just the right time.

I struggled to stay strong,as I kept throwing up. I felt someone rub my back in a soothing way, and then raised my hair from my face.

“Are you okay?” he asked, gently as I threw up again.

I’m fine, it must be something I ate” I said, and threw up all over again. Xavier helped me splash water on my face, as tears rolled out of my eyes due to the pressure. I put water in my mouth, and rinsed away the foul taste in my mouth.

“Hey, you are good” Xavier assured me, as he helped me go back into the room.

“Maybe we should just go ahead to see the pack doctor” he suggested calmly..

“I will be fine baby,” I said, but he refused to let me go the entire time.

“You look so weak” he said, and I smiled.

“I promise we can go and see the doctor tomorrow, am too tired to even get up” I said, and he k*ssed my forehead.

“I can’t help but worry babe” he said worriedly, as he held my hand.

We slept together in each other’s arms, as I kept throwing up the entire night. He suggested we asked aunt Maggie for help, maybe by recommending a quick remedy for the puking but I refused. That woman is up to no good, and I can’t trust her with my health.

I was finally able to get some sleep in the wee hours of the morning.

“Get up babe, it is morning already we need to see the pack doctor” Xavier said, and I groaned tiredly.

“Please baby” he pleaded, and I stood up reluctantly as he walk me to the bathroom, then helped me freshen up and change into something comfortable.

He tried to force me to have breakfast, but the urge to throw up is still there and I did not want to risk it.

The doctor walked back to me and Xavier as we patiently waited for him, as Xavier stood up immediately.

“Please sit down Alpha Xavier” he talked with respect.

“I have good news for the both of you” he said, with a smile on his face, and I knew right there that I am pregnant.

“The Luna is a month pregnant” he drop the new, and Xavier smiled happily. He couldn’t even hide his genuine excitement about the news.

“I can’t wait to celebrate this good news” he stated, and I give him an uncomfortable smile.

“Are you okay love?” he asked, seeing the expression on my face.

“Can we keep the pregnancy a secret?? at least until it is visible” I asked, and he nodded happily without asking further questions.

“You don’t want to know why I ask us to keep it a secret ?” I asked and he took a deep breath in and out.

“I trust you enough to know you won’t want to keep it a secret without valid reasons. Thinking of it now, the pack is not that safe to celebrate such a news. We don’t even know the true identity of our enemy yet” he stated, and I smiled.

“Come here” I beacon to him, as I pulled him in a hug.

We were on our way out of the pack’s hospital when his phone rang, and shock is written all over his face, reacting to whatever the person is saying at the other end.

“Is everything okay my love?” I asked trying not to pannick.

“Promise you won’t react terribly to what am going to tell you?” he asked me, and that made me more anxious.

“Did something happen?” I asked in fear.

“We need to visit a hospital in the human realm, something happened to Penny” he said, and my heart froze immediately.

“WHAT!” I shouted, as my b*dy shook in shock. As pain spread through my chest, he held my hand the entire time to comfort me.

We got to the hospital, and I burst out crying when I saw my friend in an unconscious state with pipes inserted into her b*dy.

“What happened to her?” I asked unable to believe my eyes.

“For now I can’t tell how this happened, someone called the hospital and when the paramedic got there, she was already unconscious” the doctor stated.

“Whatsover happened to her, she is the only that can explain when she wake up. But, am afraid she will not be able to use most vital parts of her b*dy when she eventually recovers” he said, and my heart sank as I burst out crying.
