AUTHOR’S POV (DARK MOON PACK}

Xavier stared at Anami as she set the dinner table with a bright smile on her face. His eyes moved around the house and everything in it. By the look of things, it is quite obvious that they weren’t financially buoyant.

“Has your mom been living with us ever since we got married?” he asked her, and Anami froze for a

while.

Why is he being so nosy? Did he still doubt their relationship after everything she just told him, she wondered as she looked away with a frown on her face.

“You ask too many questions, my love. The doctor has told you to rest your brain and take your medication so you can recover quickly. It is not healthy to force yourself to remember things, let it come naturally” Anami said, and Xavier felt bad for getting her all worked up like that. He noticed her countenance changed when he asked questions.

“I’m sorry” he muttered under his breath apologetically.

“It hurts when you ask questions like that, it makes me feel like you don’t trust your own wife” she stated, and he just stared at her calmly.

elf “I don’t know how to feel. The more I try to act like it doesn’t bother me, the more I feel bad that I don’t remember anything about my life and who I am. I can’t even remember you, Mia” he said in one breath.

“Anami” she corrected him immediately.

“See, I don’t even know your name. Doesn’t that hurt you?” he asked, and she sighed before turning to

his direction.

“What am I supposed to do? Say hurtful words to you when I know it is a temporary thing, this phase. will pass soon” she trailed softly.

“What If it doesn’t pass? huh? What if days turn to weeks, weeks turn to months, and months turn to years but I don’t remember all the memories we have together??” he asked, and Anami has never felt so

bad her entire life.

“Then it is our duty to move past this phase by trying to be genuinely happy. That is the least we can do” she said, and he gestured for her to come over to him.

Anami smiled as he kissed her forehead, she felt herself getting attached to him.

“Cmon let’s have dinner” she stated, as they sat down to eat. Xavier stared at the table of food, but he

still felt the emptiness in his heart. No matter how hard he tried

not express it, or even feel it.

“How is he coping?” Anami’s mom asked, as she joined her daughter in the kitchen.

“Xavier has been asking a lot of questions since he regained consciousness. I’m beginning to think of the worse that can happen” she said, and her mom sighed.

“I knew you were smitten by the man, even in his lifeless state. Anami, I am your mother, and I genuinely want you to be happy…” she trailed off.

“Then be happy! if you keep trying to convince me to tell Xavier the truth, you will make the man more suspicious than he already is” she spat, angrily.

“I did not raise you to be like this Anami. Let’s just hope you don’t regret it in the long run” her mom said, and Anami felt angry with the whole conversation.

“I don’t want to have this conversation anymore mother” she snapped, and her mom decided to let

things be.

“You can do anything you want to do, I will no longer meddle” her mother said, and Anami walked away

angrily.

Her concern was no longer about her daughter, but for the young man who is slowly turning into her daughter’s obsession.

How will Xavier feel when he finds out that everything was a lie, and he was being manipulated by her

daughter.

“Is everything okay?” Xavier asked, immediately Anami joined him in the living room again.

“Yes my love, mom and I were just talking about something” she responded, waving off the entire conversation. Xavier didn’t push it. After all, he did not want a situation where she would start crying

again like she did in the morning.

“You don’t have to worry though” she continued, and he forced a smile. Something is not adding up, or

is he thinking too much.

Jaxon walked into my study with a file in his hands, then dropped it on the table. My eyes followed the

stress lines on his forehead.

“What’s going on?” I asked, and he sighed.

“I got the necessary information I need to know about everything going on in the pack. Elroy has taken over as Alpha, and is changing a lot of things already” he explained.

“I got from a reliable source that he is trying to find you and the boys, in order to put an end to

everything Xavier has” Jax continued, and my heart squeezed in hurt.

“He has always been jealous of Xavier. I’m not surprised” I stated, as I walked around the room while trying to swallow every bit of emotion that overwhelmed me.

“None of this would have happened, if Carlos held his d*ck in his pants and he did not sleep with hist wife’s sister, all this wouldn’t have happened.” I bellowed in frustration.

“Maggie was so jealous of her sister that she gave birth to a son for the man, and planted nothing but hate in the heart of her son. So he will do her bidding without remorse” I said, and Lina joined us as she brought in some fruits.

“I’ll prefer it if the kids start having their lessons at home. It is safer, I don’t want him to get his filthy

hands on my sons” I stated, and Jax nodded his head in support.

“I have a plan” I said, as I gestured for them to sit down and listen to me.

“What, that is a crazy idea, you should know that by now” Jax said immediately.

“We can’t sit back and continue hiding in the shadows. The Red blood pack belongs to Xavier, and even if he is no more with us, I refuse to allow his step brother rule in his place” I declared, and he hummed.

“Just do exactly as I have instructed you to” I said, and Lina stared at me with worry written all over her

face.

“Are you sure Luna? You are pregnant and I believe whatever you are planning right now will be very

risky” she said in one go.

“What is life without risks? Xavier risked his life for us, Penny risked her life for us. If we do not bring

down Elroy and his plans, we have failed already” I said, and they stared at me.

“You are the Luna, and we are willing to do anything just as you want us to,” Jax stated, and Lina hummed in agreement.

Elroy sat at the other end of the hall, as he stared at Emerald’s father with a smirk on his face. The man knew Elroy and what he was capable of.

“I was informed that you wanted to see me,” he said in one go.

“Tell me where your daughter and the boys are located??” Elroy asked, as he stared at him with an intimidating gaze.

“I don’t understand,” Blake said, as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

“She is your daughter, you should know where she is.” he fired angrily.

“No one survives betraying me Blake. You better be telling me the truth, because if I find out you are lying to me, I will cut your tongue and feed it to you” he threatened.

“Yes” Blake responded, as he bowed in respect before being dismissed.

Elroy hated the fact that he was getting irritated each second. They have no information where she had

gone to with the kids or who she was with.

Emerald is one fierce woman, the fact that he did not know where she is or what she is planning is making him anxious and worried.

What if she attacked when he least expects it? He stood up from his chair and rubbed his forehead.

“Think Elroy, think!” he yelled to himself, as he walked to and fro in the room.

If only he have something important, something that would compel her to come out of her hiding place. She have to come out from wherever she is hiding.

He will not only enslave and break her fighting spirit, but he will take the chance of tasting her p*ssy, whatever she reserved for his useless brother.
