After our chit-chat, Nila went to her apartment. We discussed a lot about 'how will our work will be', 'will he be an arrogant jerk or something like that'. I took out my tomorrow's outfit. It was a black and grey small checkers with long lantern sleeve blouse paired with black pants. I took out my black ballerina flats. Satisfied with my choices, I grinned like a fool. Finally one step towards my dream.
Changing into my baby pink pajama set and plopped on the bed. ' A good day ', I thought. I closed my eyes and drifted off.
The next day I woke on time. 'Thank God'. I did my morning chores and went and had my breakfast. Then went towards the temple in my home and prayed that the first day should be smooth without any problems. Bidding by bye to everyone I grabbed my things, I headed towards my baby. My Audi Q5.
IÂ ignited my car and started towards Nila's apartment. ' yeah I told her that I'll pick her up, as our work starts only at 9.30'. I soon reached her apartment after she sent me her location. It was a good surrounding with a pleasant atmosphere.
I called her and informed her that I'm waiting down. She reached my car. She wore black Kurti and dark green leggings. Then we went towards our new office.
We reached the office at 9.20. ' Yayyyyyyyyy reached before 10mins. Now I'll tell mom that I'm not the tardy one'.
We were waiting for our boss to come. He arrived perfectly at 9.30. He has a very good time sense. He was so hot, he was wearing a Two-piece suit with a blue-grey shirt.
'Hey, you!! That's your boss. Have some sense you fool.' my subconscious remained me it's presence.
"It's not good if you don't admire God's creations.", I reasoned out.
' Uh-huh. Even it's your boss. God put some sense in her dimwit's brain. Hey you, this could get you fired you know. Then you have to sit in your room and sulk like a kid ', my subconscious snapped back.
"Okay. I won't do it again. But I can't help, these romantic stories have totally corrupted my mind". Saying this I sighed heavily.
Suddenly I felt someone nudging my elbow. It was Nila who was doing it. I asked her 'what' by raising my eyebrow. She motioned me to look forward. When I turned around, I saw my boss looking at a cold face.
"Ms.Arora, if Romance books corrupt you to this level, I request you to stop reading that genre. And one more thing you can absolutely admire God's creation, but don't stare at someone like this. It's kinda creepy. Both of you in my cabin now. ", he told me in a cold voice, and my eyes widened.
'Did I say that loud'.
"Yup, you did that. And you're doing it again.", He replied and went towards his cabin.
"Shit. Why do I have to embarrass myself like this", I facepalmed myself whilst Nila dragging me to the cabin.
We both knocked on the door and waited for the response. We heard a 'come in' and made our way to his desk. When we saw our boss, he was kinda trying to stifle his laughter.
'Wow. Flashing news. The arrogant jerk knows to laugh and also knows how to control it too'.
"Well. I may be an arrogant jerk, but I'm a human also. So I can laugh whenever I want Ms.Arora", he snapped at me. In an instant, my hand covered my mouth to prevent it from speaking anything further.
I turned around to see Nila, she was trying to stifle her erupting laughter. ' The best first day at work history'. I thought this in my mind, you see still my hand was covering my mouth.
"So it's your first day here. So, Ms. Nila, you'll be working for Mr.Daksh Chopra COO of the company, while Ms.Arora you'll be working for me. Mr. Kashyap will show you, your cabins. Ms. Nila, your today's work will be assigned by Mr.Kashyap, you can meet in his cabin. His cabin is in second right from here. You can leave now", I heard him say.
I glanced at Nila who thanked him and went towards the door. Before going out she gestured 'zip your mouth' to me. I nodded my head and turn towards the front to look at him, but he was already looking at me.
"So Ms.Arora I want a person who doesn't zone out often. So your today's work will be managing the calls that we get. You'll connect that call to me only if it's important. I guess the previous one would have kept a copy of the important calls. I need you to schedule my meetings. I think there's an incomplete presentation that needs immediate attention. The details will be at your desk. I want the presentation to be completed within two days. You get that?".
'What the hell. He said everything in one go. Thank God he gave me the time of two days.'
"Ms.Arora you're zoning out again. And I need a response when I question others. So did you get it?", He asked me again. I just nodded my head, not trusting my voice.
"You can now go to your cabin, which is just to the left side of mine. I might be needing your number for contacting. So just hand out Ms.Nila's and your number to me. And Ms.Arora you can remove your hands.", He said. I saw his lips slightly making a curve in an upward direction.
After I gave him our numbers, I headed to my cabin. I opened my cabin, and I immediately fell in love with it. It was spacious enough. I had my own table. The cabin was painted in soft cream color. It had a peaceful feeling. I settled myself on the chair and saw that he can watch my boss from my cabin too. And then I started to do my job.

Making myself comfortable in my seat I thought about her. I swear to God, I have never ever seen a person like her. She was looking so beautiful in her formals that I felt my heartbeats raising.
I controlled myself from laughing out loud to myself when I caught her talking out loud when she thought, she was talking in her mind. She was talking about God's creation, appreciating, and all. She was totally staring at me. I felt good that she was thinking about me. Her eyes widened when she realized her foully. Gosh, she was so cute, that I wanted to kiss her at that instant.
'Damn you, man. What's happening to you? ' I heard my subconscious say.
"I don't know", I replied honestly.
' You're whipped man'
"Am I??"
'yes', it replied back.
When they both entered my cabin, I was trying to stifle my laughter. Then she again talked aloud saying 'Wow. Flashing news. The arrogant jerk knows to laugh and also knows how to control it too'. Damn this woman. She was looking freaking cute when she covered her mouth with her palms when all I wanted to do was...' well it doesn't matter'. Good, now I even have her number too. 'Gosh you sound like some teenager who's in love'
I assigned her work and watched her from my cabin. She was working so efficiently. She even wore glass while looking at the screen before her. 'Does she have an eyesight problem? If yes then I'm gonna reduce her work' I thought.
But then I saw her taking out blue light and checking the glass. 'Oh, it's Anti-glare glass. Thank God. ' I sighed. "Now Veer, let's get to work.", I said to myself.
I glanced at her and all I heard from my sub-conscious was,
'Are you sure, that you can work from now on?'
