Double update â¨

Today was our Haldi ceremony. There will be separate Haldi for both groom and bride at their own places. But here, my groom didn't want to happen in that way. He went on protesting and also he held a hunger strike. Sometimes he makes me wonder whether it was the same guy I met a year ago or some doppelgänger of him. But my brothers and Daksh assured me it was the same guy I'm in love with.
I was getting myself dressed in Mustard yellow color lehenga with mirror work embellished hem & sequin work waistband. It was paired with a hand-embroidered blouse & organza dupatta. The blouse had a V-neck line and the sleeve was of full length. The lehenga has disc & cutdana tassel tie-up.

I had tied my hair my crisscross hairstyle and Nila made me wear a floral tiara. My accessories for today was full of floral jewels. After adorning myself with those jewels I was led down to the front yard of my home. The decors were totally in a yellow and white theme.
There were two separate ottomans for Viren and me. Viren was already sitting there looking handsome in his dress. He was dressed in mustard yellow kurta which was an asymmetrical bottom and side neckline where the buttons were in black color. He paired it with cream color trouser. His jaw was hitting the ground the moment he saw me, which made me blush.

Then I saw made near to sit beside him and the Haldi ceremony started. His dadi started for him, while my mom started it for me. Then the elders one by one did for both of us. At the end of the elders around, we both were practically drenched in Haldi.
Then came my brothers. Both of them scooped a handful of Haldi and applied on my face. Preeti did the same to Viren. Then Nila and Daksh did the most wonderful thing. Please note the sarcasm in my voice. She took a bucket of water which was mixed along with Haldi and dumped it on us.
Viren and I jumped on the contact of cool water on us. Then starts the Haldi war. We both chased everyone with a bucket of water and threw on them. I applied to Tara, Divyaansh, and all my cousins. Viren did the same to everyone. After the big haldi fight, our parents called us and asked us to sit in our place.
Out of nowhere, Viren started throwing tantrum. "Vee, what happened why are you behaving like this?", dadu asked him. His reply made me blush. God this guy is making me blush every day.
"Everyone applied haldi on my bride except me!! It's so bad", saying this he started his fake cry and our relatives laughed at us. "Go and do it!! Who is stopping you from doing it?", my nanu chipped in.
Oh my god! Both my families are crazy.
I turned to look at Rey. That bloody guy was smirking at me, which sent me signals that he was planning something terrible. So for my safety, I started running away from him. Everyone started laughing at my situation.
After running away from him, I was now currently hiding in Sharav's room. Yes, from the day he came to know the truth, he's staying with the Arora's. I breathed a sigh of relief, but dang the fate was never on my side. Rey was already sitting on Sharav's bed.
"I knew you would come here to hide, my happy pill", he replied with a cheeky grin on his face. Seeing this my heart started to pick its pace and my stomach was currently doing somersaults. Getting off the bed he started towards me.
"Rey stay wherever you are. Don't take a step forward.", I threatened him by pointing a finger at him. In reply, he smirked.
'How badly I want to swipe of that smirk', my mind said.
'But that makes him even more handsome and hot', my heart counter attacked.
'No! Not now you guys!', I thought.
Since I was so engrossed in my thoughts, I didn't know when Rey came and stood in front of me. He pulled me towards him, by my waist. I was now breathing so heavily.
"You can't escape from me happy pill", he smiled at me.
"R-Rey l-let me go... They w-will b-be searching for us", I replied to him, in a stammering manner.
"Nah-uh! They won't, 'cause they gave me permission to apply haldi on you.", he replied. I gulped audibly. He didn't have anything in his hands. A confused look took place on my face. "But you don't have any haldi with you", I asked him with confusion etching in my tone.
"Who told you I was going to apply haldi by hands?", he asked me with a frown on his handsome face.
'Aww! How cute he looks', my heart said.
'Concentrate you, dimwit', my subconscious counter attacked me.
"Then how will-", he didn't allow me to complete my sentence. He brought his haldi filled face to my left and rubbed the haldi on the left side. I shivered at his act. He did the same to my right cheek too. My breathing started to get irregular. He then cupped my face and kissed me.
It was a slow yet passion-filled kiss. He nibbled my upper lip in such a way that I felt my knees turn weak. Sensing my plight, he held in a firm way. Then he kissed my lower lips and was parting my lips seeking entry. When I didn't budge, he pinched my bare waist causing me to gasp. Taking this chance he entered my mouth and tasted every corner of my mouth.
When I sighed he smiled through the kiss. He let me go when I was feeling out of breath.
"I can't get enough of myself whenever I kiss you, Pari. What are you doing to me?", he asked me with our foreheads joined together.
After our little romance, we reached the front yard and everyone teased the hell out of us, especially me.
"Chicken little, today is your haldi function, not holi. Why are your cheeks so red?", Sahil teased me. Rey, side hugged me and I hid my face. But Rey's reply made Sahil shut, and everyone laughed while Preeti blushed.
"Even I can ask you the same Brother-in-law. Today is our haldi and not holi, but why are my sister's cheeks are red?", he asked Sahil coolly. After their little banter, we were asked to take a bath and change our clothes.
Nodding our head we all left the place.

After the haldi ceremony, we went to take bath since we were drenched in haldi. I was getting ready in Sharav's room. Dressing in a white kurta and trouser with a silver-colored mandarin collar jacket which had left as motifs on them. Then Sharav went to get himself cleaned. He was dressed in a white shirt and blank trousers.

All this while Sharav teased me, and I teased him with the name Navya Tandon. This guy is still crushing on that girl. But I can also say that he's gloomy. He's not the Sharav I knew.
"Sharav are you okay?", I questioned him. He was puzzled at my question.
"What? Me? Of course, I'm fine Veer", he replied.
"No, you're not. You're not the Sharav I knew. You changed a lot of Sharav. Please tell me what's bothering you", I begged for him to tell.
"I-It's that, I feel so guilty to look at you. Because of my so-called parents' uncle and aunt are not here. Just because of their jealousy. Whenever I see everyone enjoying happily, I see the look on your face, even though you're happy, you miss them. And also about that girl who was kidnapped by them. And I feel guilty about it", he replied with tears in his eyes.
My God! This boy
"Look Sharav, you don't need to feel bad for what your parents did. In fact, there's no fault of yours. You were just a kid at that time. So don't feel like this. If Pari comes to know about this she'll bad. Tomorrow is our wedding and I don't want my wife and my brother-in-law to be sad thinking about something they were never part of", I told him in a stern voice, and he nodded his head.
But I know about him. He won't understand this easily. Because what his parents did is still hurting him. A girl was kidnapped by his parents. Only someone can heal him. And I pray for that person to come soon.
After our little talk, we saw entered the garden and the chooda ceremony was taking place. I think we were a bit late that the function has already started.
My Pari was dressed in white lehenga, which had silver sequins in the border along with baby pink traces. Her top was in the off-shoulder neckline. It had floral motifs in pink and green color. She had pink netted dupatta rounded around her arms. Her hair was left loose. Indeed, she was looking like an angel. And her earrings dangling on each side whenever she moved.
Ah! My happy pill! My Pari.
All her unmarried cousins and Nila were kneeling down. She had kaleerey attached to her bangles which were tied with a cloth. Standing at the back of them, she held her hand above them and tapped the kaleerey on them. A part of kaleerey didn't fall on two of her cousins. They breathed a sigh of relief.
Following them was Nila and Daksh was standing near me with nervousness. Chuckling at him, I asked why was he nervous.
"Vee if it falls on Nila, she might get scared of marriage and I don't want her to get scared. I'm scared of his reaction", he replied to me. When a part of kaleerey falls on an unmarried girl it's a sign that she'll get married next.
I placed an arm on his shoulder and said, "Daksh even if it falls, make sure you clear things about marriage with Nila, ask her opinion. Don't let anyone come between you guys if it's your parents. You guys talk among yourself because every relationship works well only on communication.", I advised him because, in the middle of our relationship, I didn't communicate with Pari which led to our separation.
Sharav nodded his head to whatever I said, and suddenly everyone shouted and clapped. We turned our attention to them. A part of kaleerey fell on Nila. I was expecting an opposite reaction from her, but she was smiling looking at Daksh, and he breathed out in relief.
"Thank god Vee! She's smiling", he said looking at her, We saw aunt Radhika kissing Nila's forehead. But what she said made us happy.
"But our Daksh and Nila will only get married when they want too. We'll not force them to anything", she said and uncle nodded his head. Daksh ran and hugged his mom and kissed her cheeks. Again Pari continued to do. Two of her cousins got it, and they sulked looking at it.
I went near my Pari and stood near her with my hands resting on her waist. She looked at me and smiled.
"It was such fun, Rey. But I'm sad that I can't play anymore and also I won't be a bride anymore.", she pouted at me. I looked at her with disbelief in my eyes.
"You are really a crazy woman! You get married once in a lifetime and that's with me. If you need every year I'll hold pre-wedding rituals for you and marry you on our anniversary. Is that okay?", I questioned her.
She'll surely drive me nuts.
"Really!! Thank you so much my Hoity-Toity", she pecked my lips. Did she just kiss me in front of everyone?
"Did you just kiss me now?", I asked her with my eyes wide as the saucer.
"Yes, my husband! You have any problem?", she winked at me.
Where did my blushing Pari go?.
"I don't have any problem Mrs.Khanna", saying this I pulled her towards me and kissed her properly this time. She also wounded her arms around my neck, others in the background were hooting for us. I let go of her when she struggled to breathe. We both said this in unison and chuckled,
"I wow you".
