Chapter 8-buddy.

"When I needed a hand, I found your paw"

I'm startled awake by a knock kind of quiet but still suspicious. I'm scared what if it's a killer. Quickly I look around for some sort of weapon.

A lamp.

Heck yea it can cause damage I remove Damians hand from my waist and get up recalling last night events.

Oh if they try to kill me I'll throw Damian at them. I won't leave him I'll sneak up and knock out the killer easily. Incase it doesn't work out I'm sure he can hold his own.

"Where are you going it's too fucking early" he wakes up half asleep. "someone's here I'm going to go see who it is" I tell him with determination in my voice.

Looking at the clock I notice it is too early 8:24 am. I'm still tired. Who wakes up this early? A crackhead would probably. I bet it's damians friend, I'm sure he's a drug addict.

Oh well, I start to get up but get interrupted.

"Wait stay here I'll go"  he doesn't need to get up I have my trusty lamp!

"Ill be fine it's just the door" I assure him plus I've been told many times if I get kidnapped they'll bring me right back.

Anyone would be lucky to have me in their presence. Heck yea I'm one of a kind.

"No I'll go quickly stay he- " he glances down at the object in my hand "why do you have a lamp"

To knock you out and keep you here forever I almost tell him.

I glance down at the lamp then back up at him "Oh in case a killer was at the door" I reply grinning like a crazy wackledoodle

His eyes shine with amusement I swear but he rolls his eyes and pulls off my cute white blanket that has butterflies "we can both get the door"

"Okay come on weirdo" i bite the inside of my cheek leading the way before noticing he's still in his boxer undies things since he didn't want to sleep with jeans.

I wait for him to change rocking back and forth on my feet.

No way he's going out there half naked

Heck no dude.

"What" I look down silently telling him 'your naked pal change' he looks at me silently saying 'no'

I glare at him. He glares back. The glaring turns into a full on glaring contest and I have to win so I throw my stuffed piggy at him.

Mrs piggy the third.

I won.

"Cheater" i gasp not believing he would call little ol me this- this word!

He starts walking out my bedroom.

"Oh no you don't Damian wait for me" I quickly grab the blanket and speed walk not run I don't run. Towards him then drape it over his shoulders.

He looks great. I nod to myself and smile.

The blanket is xxl it's big but I like it extra big so I can walk around the house fully wrapped in my blanket like a soft hug at all times.

I imagine it's like a hug from baymax I liked that movie and cried at the end.

He doesn't oppose and just grips the blanket from falling. As he should listen to me.

I then speed walk to the door and open it revealing josh and jake. My besties!

"I missed you both" I open the door wider so they can come in josh comes in and gives me a big hug then jake does.

My besties.

Gosh darn it.

I feel the tears.

"Hey fools what are y'all up to"i like saying fool, it makes me feel like a bad fricker.

They stare at me with looks of pity. oh my face is red and swollen. Oops.

Josh is the first to break the awkward silence "tell me right now what they did and I'll drag them hoes bestie" he assures me showing off his biceps.

"Oh no it's okay I promise!" I nod with a smile trying to convince them.

Jake is next to speak. "Rose you're not okay I can see your dried tears on your cheeks. What happened?" Hesitantly asking the last part like I'm going to burst out crying again.

Pfft I'm not a baby.

Joking.It's okay but still I refuse to repeat those words. Just thinking about it is upsetting I mean why would she say those crude things? I still don't know what I did.

After reassuring them I'm okay and them still being suspicious of me josh looks behind me then gets in a fit of laughter

Soon jake follows along and they're both on the floor dying.

What is so fu-

Oh my goodness there's a funny looking Damian behind me. It's just hallarious a big built man wrapped in a pretty white blanket with cute butterfly's on them!

He looks so cute!

"Damian you look adorable" I gush out, he glares at me. I give him the really look and his face softens ever so slightly.

After laughing about damians cute self we all go to my room and enjoy each others company and end up falling asleep.

Damian falls asleep first and I see his arm is out in the open extremely close to me. I bite it. He jerks awake and looks at me still having my mouth on him. I let go and quietly cackle. "Little shit leave me the fuck alone" I slap his shoulder dying of laughter.

He ignores me and hides his body under the blanket.

Yea like that'll stop me hehe. After calming down I close my eyes and randomly just go to sleep.

I wake up feeling better after a 2 hour nap oh my goodness buddy. I need to get ready it's 10:16 they'll land at 10:30.

I forgot to tell them my mother and buddy are coming today!

Looking around I spot everyone still asleep completely knocked out so I get up.

Correction I attempt to get up but this b words hand is secured tightly around my stomach.

And to my luck my stomach growls. I just ate last night. I'll eat something else later. Shush it. I silently tell my stomach.

With how loud it is im going to wake up the whole city.

Moving on after failing at moving his hand from my waist I come to my final resolution.

I bite him.

Hehehehe. I almost cackle at myself but don't want to wake him so I refrain.

Immediately he removes his hand and sits up looking at me wide eyed. I feel bad. Gosh darn it.

"Im sorry you wouldn't let go and I have to go" I try and explain. Still feeling bad I grab his hand and kiss the spot I bit.

He shakes his head pulling me back down, securely placing his arm around my waist.

He's really building a zoo in my tummy. For someone that doesn't like to talk he really likes physical touch. It's okay I don't mind not at all.

Great it's 10:21 I'm about to be late.

"get up, buddy is about to land and the sooner I leave the sooner I can have my best friend back and see my mother"

Finally he gets it and let's go.

I thought I was going to have to take drastic measures and tussle with him.

I punch hard. Yea I do, I can punch through a wall I'm sure of it.

I quickly change and head to my car hearing someone behind me I ignore it and get in.

Before I can start my car the passenger door is open and a half asleep damian is grumpily sitting there.

"You know you could've stayed and slept more"

he didn't have to come.

"No, let's go" he grumbles. Well okay then.

To wake him up I decide to listen to good ol tunes. Forever by Lewis capaldi. Heck yea I love him. I think I have a wonderful play list.

Before you go. I love that song too.

I love a lot of things.

Music.buddy.my besties.my family. Animals.chocolate.ice cream.grandma Ann.buddy.

"Oh yea, hurry Damian it's 10:32 he's here and so is my mother!" I grasp onto his hand and drag him through the airport quickly

Looking around until I spot mom! I can't wait to spend time with her. And see buddy. Mostly buddy.

I just really missed his amazing company.

Again dragging Damian. He doesn't complain my b word. Joking. Anyways dragging him towards mother I excitedly hug her and take buddy from her. My baby.

He's so excited to see me as I am to see him. I'm happy I missed him so much I almost had enough and was about to fly myself to Oklahoma and take him.

"Mom I'm so happy you're here are you hungry? We can go ea-" She cuts me off quickly shaking her head.

"I know I said I would stay for the weekend but I really have to go back home I caught the next flight back to Oklahoma in 30 minutes" she informs me.

I'm not going to lie I feel sad. I should be used to it but I'm still hoping for things to change. At least now buddy's here to keep me company. My bestest friend ever.

Don't tell Damian.

Trying not to be too sad I show her a smile and a little quietly assure her it's okay. "Don't worry about it I'll be fine I have buddy! Do you want me to wait with you?" I question furrowing my eyebrows.

We can spend the rest of this time together I don't mind waiting here for a while.

"No it's okay rosaline you go and do what you need I can wait here alone" I give her a nod. it almost sounds like she's trying to get rid of me.

Probably is.

No she loves me.

yea of course she does she's my mother every mother loves their child. Right? My grandma loved her children and well loved me too.

I tell her goodbye and fail to hide the sadness in my wave. I don't hug her mostly because shes told me so many times before 'I don't like hugs'

Damian watches my mother carefully, he examines her like her examines everyone almost like trying to figure them out.

I say my goodbye to my mom and head towards Damian with buddy.He takes buddy's carrier thing with one hand and my hand in the other then leads me outside.

We get to the car and I let buddy out his cage. Poor baby has been stuck in it for 8 hours.

I wonder if they feed them on the plane. Do they get little snacks like peanuts?

They better have given my doggy a snack he's big and gets hungry every few minutes. If they didn't im going to have to tussle with the airplane people.

"I missed you so much I told you I wouldn't leave you, we're back together and no one's separating us" I tell buddy. Damian looks at me with a weird look in his eye I can't read.

I always talk to him. I'm positive he listens.

He barks. See he's talking back. We're having a convo now.

"And if they try we'll get rid of them" I whisper down to him and once again buddy barks.

My smart doggy.

I watch with a smile on my face as buddy wags his tail happily and stares out the window making sure to look at every detail we pass by. I love my dog.

"Isn't he such a good dog" I look over to Damian.

"The best" he mumbles out not even glancing once towards me. I can't tell if he's being sarcastic or serious. With how he is I'm going to guess it's sarcastic.

I should tell buddy to bite him.

Shaking those thoughts almost laughing because well if I tell him buddy will actually do it.

That'll be funny.

The car ride continues quietly but not awkward just a peaceful silence. I hum to the music as I think of what I'm going to eat since I'm a bit hungry.

I throw my head back laughing when buddy's head pops between me and Damian. I then put some sunglasses on him which he seems to like since he's not removing them and I bark out a role of Hyena sounding laughs at how funny he looks.

My eyes widen when I hear buddy growling and not just at nothing, he growls at Damian.

Damian glares over at buddy and grumbles words under his tongue. I shake my head and continue to pet buddy's head that's laying between me and Damian.
