Shu Yan was well aware of her own situation. She was divorced with two children. Uncultured and not pretty. It would probably be difficult for her to find some quality man. That being said, Shu Yan was not in a rush to get married. If she didn’t meet the right person, she could always just live her life with her two kids.

Suddenly learning that someone tried to get close to her, truth was, she was more panicked than pleasantly surprised.

Nevertheless, Feng Zeyu’s veteran status provided Shu Yan with a very strong sense of security. She would, however, need to take Feng Zeyu’s situation into consideration as well. She has two children and both attending school nearby. Gossips were bad for them.

She felt asleep as she was thinking everything over. Had she not have the alarm, she would most likely have overslept. By the time she arrived at the clothing market, Shu Yan spotted a familiar person from afar and ran up.

“Big sister.” It was the big sister from Province Wan that Shu Yan met the first time she came to the marketplace.

“Oh, hey, it’s you. What a coincidence?” The big sister was very happy to see Shu Yan as well.

“It is, isn’t it? I come here every week and I look around every time but I never saw you.” Shu Yan held the big sister’s hand. “Were you waiting out there at night? It’s so cold now. Here, I have some hot water with me. Have a sip.”

“It’s fine. I have some as well. How’s your clothing business going?” The big sister had spotted Shu Yan earlier but she wasn’t certain it was her. Shu Yan had changed so much. She was a shade lighter and also her spirit was different.

“My business is going well. How’s yours?” The two of them stepped into somewhere light and that was when Shu Yan noticed that the big sister face looked dim and had a yellow hue to it. She was very different than the confident woman that Shu Yan had met before. “What’s the matter? Are you ill?”

“No.” The big sister smiled bitterly. “Shortly after I returned last year, the storefront that I have been renting was about to be demolished. So I needed to look for a new place while taking care of my kid. I was finally able to find a new place but the business was nowhere close to what it was before.” It wasn’t anyone’s fault. She was just unlucky.

“Don’t worry, Big Sister, you have a very sound business mind. Things will get better.” Shu Yan suddenly recalled that they didn’t have a franchise shop over at Province Wan and asked, “Have you heard of Xian Xue, Big Sister?”n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“Xian Xue brand of fall underwear by Yan Xue?”

“Yeah, that Xian Xue.” Shu Yan felt that she needed to talk to Hu Ruixue when she returned. They needed to replace their commercial so others would stop thinking that fall sets were all they have.

“Of course I do. Everybody in this line of business had heard of them. The No. 1 underwear brand in China. That boss was so generous, having their commercials played on CCTV. I wonder how much they spent on that,” lamented the big sister.”

Shu Yan smiled and said, “I have a friend who works at Yan Xue. I’ve heard that they were about to franchise out to Tier 2 cities. Will you be interested? You will be the first in Province Wan and can have the location of your choice. Business should be good. Once you are franchised, you will no longer need to come here for merchandizes. You just need to place a call to the headquarters and inventory will be delivered to you. That way you can make money and take care of your child at the same time.”

“The fall sets will be out of season soon. It’s too late now.” The big sister shook her head.

“Who said Xian Xue only has fall sets? They also have regular underwear and household clothing. They will be suitable year-round. If you have time, you can come with me to check out the direct sale store in City Nan.”
